I keep a couple of these adaptors in my glovebox for road trips. My wife is an iPhone person, and I prefer Android. She never remembers to bring a charging cable with her when we travel, so these come in handy.

great adapter for travel
These days we have a lot of different devices that need power or charging.
I verified all the connectors work, and in both directions (Lightning and USB-C are both reversible)
The adapter also works with a data connection to a computer. (Some cables and adapters skimp and just supply power and not data lines)
This adapter is great for travel – you can consolidate cables down to USB-C, and be able to charge via lightning.
It’s not in the product listing, but there is a little hole on the side of the metal trim ring for a carrying loop to attach. The kit only comes with two silicone cable holders. I’m not sure if I will use these, since I have a pouch with small pockets for adapters and other little parts to carry my charging and various adapter parts for travel.

I really like these adapters and recommend them. They save me having to have multiple cables or cables with multiple connectors.
They fit well both on the USB-C cable and into the Apple lightning device. I haven’t had any problem with overheating or too much current, despite having sent more than the maximum recommended current. They work well.
I like the tethers that attach them to a cable. Unfortunately, there are only two of those and four adapters.

These are convenient adapters from USB C to lightning. These connect well to USB C cable and can be tethered with the straps provided. These work well for charging and have been tried with iphone and ipad.

Works as expected
I picked this up to fix a “3-way” charging cable that had a micro-USB output with two items very similar to this that you could plug into into the micro-USB to get either a USB-C or Lightning output. It was a handy cable since it would essentially charge anything, and it had the added bonus of having a battery pack in the cable, so it would charge and you could take the whole thing with you if you did not have enough charge when you left the car.
Unfortunately, one of my daughters broke off the Lightning Cable in her phone (thank god it was the Lightning Cable… if you do that with a USB cable, you get to replace your phone… USB may have its advantages, but it is dumb physical design).
These TechMatte USB C to Lightning came to the rescue–I can now plug the USB C adapter (already there) into the Micro USB, then one of these into that, then plug in my iPhone and I do not have to replace the entire cable and charger.
These will also be useful as more and more things move to USB C for charging–I can just carry around a USB C cable and attach this when I want to charge my iPhone.

I like that I can quickly switch from USB-C to Lightning. Especially now that iPads are being design with USB-C charge ports.
These work well with standard Lightning devices. Our iPhone had no compatibility issues. However, it does add significant length of rigid plug. I will be careful to use in stationary situations, where it is less likely to put pressure on the phones charging port.
