Everything arrived without any issues. The steel book version has both the Blu-ray and 4k version of the movie. Both good to have if don't have 4k players in multiple locations.

So, same TMNT, with a slightly different take on some of the story line. The graphic novel animation style was a very cool/fresh way to present this new version. My five year old loved this movie and to my surprise, so did I. This is very well put together and rather entertaining. Worth watching and worth owning, in my opinion.

The Blu-ray was shipped in new condition as promised, and it was easy to access the digital download. Be warned, the digital can only go through Vudu or Apple, it can not be directly added to Movies Anywhere. I am a huge fan of the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles from the early '90s, and this one does them justice.

I saw this movie in the theaters and I loved it. I admit that I was worried when I heard that Seth Rogen was directing it (Not really a fan of some of his work) but he did good. The cast choice was great. Jackie Chan as Splinter was great, Ice Cube as the villain was awesome.

A Fun Enough Story, but Beautiful Animatio
Jeff Rowe’s 2023 film, “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem,” reboots the Ninja Turtles film franchise for the second time (third if you consider 2007’s “TMNT” a soft reboot). The film follows a script and story by Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, and Rowe. It stars Micah Abbey as Donatello, Shamon Brown Jr. as Michelangelo, Nicolas Cantu as Leonardo, Brady Noon as Raphael, Ayo Edebiri as April O’Neil, Maya Rudolph as Cynthia Utrom, John Cena as Rocksteady, Rogen as Bebop, Giancarlo Esposito as Baxter Stockman, Jackie Chan as Spliner, Ice Cube as Superfly, Paul Rodd as Mondo Gecko, and features a cameo from TMNT co-creator Kevin Eastman as Good Human.
The story returns to a younger version of the Turtles, focusing on them early in their training. Rogue scientist Baxter Stockman plans to use the mutagenic ooze from TCRI to create his own mutant families. Attempts to thwart his plans lead to a mutagen spill, transforming the four turtles. Years later, the turtles help teenager April O’Neil, revealing their existence. They meet Superfly, who promises to introduce them to more mutants. Excited to find more like themselves, they follow him to Staten Island where they learn not everything is as it seems.
The film uses animation to tell a larger story than previous works, focusing on a whole host of mutant characters inspired by the 1990s toys and all the characters they featured. The turtles themselves are decidedly younger, making this something of a coming-of-age film. Elements of their interactions with April resemble the 2012 Nickelodeon series, which also began with a younger version of the turtles. Appropriately, this is the first film in which all of the turtles are portrayed by teenage actors, lending a sense of realism to their voice performances. The animation, though computer-generated, has an aesthetic resembling stop-motion or sketch art, a little rough around the edges and organic, that helps to distinguish it among a landscape of quality animated films.
This Steelbook is a nice way to bring the film home for fans looking to add it to their TMNT home media collection. Special features include a featurette about the main cast actors, a look at creating the mutants, an examination of the larger visual world, and a sequence on how to draw Leonardo in the film’s style.
I am a huge fan of the 80s to mid 90s TMNT comics , the 1990 film brought the original comic closer to the silver screen than any other!
Live action, dark and gritty atmosphere and a great cast and story ,with a very cool sound. track ,it holds it own today!
Fast forward I was 10 then, now 43 sat watching this movie with my own son and I am happy to say this was refreshing, fun and it’s way better for it by going in it’s own, if ever so slightly trailing some elements from the first and second OG turtle movies !
The animation style creates such a wonderful contrast of the dark world the turtles live in and vibrant one above them.
While taking the whole movie to another level look wise.
The sound track is incredible utilising both Atticus and Trent’s style that appeals to my generation along with some recognisable classics thrown in for good measure!
The movie is a family film , anyone with teenagers in the house will instantly have a connection with this film , making a move with teenagers voicing their respective characters makes them feel more connected and real!
Watching this on the big screen and seeing it on our LG G2 in Dolby vision 4k it looks absolutely stunning , colours are richer and I’ve noticed more details and textures in every scene!
if you have an Atmos system prepare to get an full audio assault as it’s been mixed perfectly using all the speakers positions to bring you into the action or should that be the action to you but either way you’ll be impressed!
Absolutely a worthy addition to add to the silver disc collection!
Best version made.
Totally worth it. We watched it at the cinema on a family holiday and we all really enjoyed it. That when move night rolled around we decided to purchase the film so we can watch it again and again.
As an 30 something guy who has been a tmnt fan since childhood I was sceptical about the reboot of the turtles after seeing so many reboot films fail but this is a great movie I absolutely loved it it’s funny and brilliantly executed with great character personalities and great artwork from the comic days vibe. I’m excited to see more (apparently there is going to be more movies and a series coming to follow this movie
They’ve reinvented TMNT here, there’s some slight changes but I think it works and it brings an old favourite to a new generation.
I still prefer the old one but this was a lot of fun and I’m looking forward to seeing more movies and the return of the infamous Shredder.
The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles take on the criminal mastermind known as Superfly in the hope of being accepted by humans. Based on the comics and cartoons, this is a fun and heartwarming animated fantasy adventure movie. Well animated with good voice over performances from John Cena, Ice Cube, Rose Byrne, Paul Rudd, Jackie Chan and a little known voice cast as the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles this is a love letter to the Turtles with plenty of action and humour updated for a new generation.
