Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Why has the description of the battery changed, and why is the battery information on the package now showing 7.2V 7800mAh? Is there any difference from the previous battery?

A: In order to better align with battery certification requirements and ensure the safe delivery of our products, we now describe the battery capacity using only voltage and capacitance. Bought this for work, however have stopped taking it in as it’s loud, in a good way.
Really nice balanced sound, with plenty of bass for and bass junkies out there. Immense battery life too. Highly recommended!

I was a little dubious about the sound quality but it does actually do as it says on the tin! The RMS figures are a little fabricated for sure and can no way do the rated output but overall loud and clear and good bass.

5 stars & best buy at price level.A necessarily weighy speaker that wont knock out vibrating sub base at molecular level as speakers 2 or 3 times iprice may do but it’ll meet most peoples’ needs/expectations of an affordadle speaker you can lug around. wired/wireless conectivity so also belts out sounds from older/wired devices.

I bought this speaker for use in a fast food restaurant kitchen; so that my fellow employees could enjoy their own choice of music as they worked.

It is more than loud enough for the task, despite being less powerful than the speaker it was bought to replace (a JBL). It is small enough to be placed safely and sturdy enough to survive an accidental fall to the floor. It is also very reasonably priced.

Most importantly, the people using it, on a daily basis, have had no cause to complain about it in any way.

Would I buy another one if it became necessary? I certainly would.

Had it for a day so far and it’s a fantastic speaker. Sd slot is fantastic. ( just when you put your own music on the sd card make sure it’s all out of folders or will not pick it up)
    A++

Great looking speaker for the money, Great sound with good quality bass, was looking at JBL but decided to go with WKing instead, easy to operate and sync with, if you like your sounds clear and loud then this speaker handles it very well.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersBought one of these four months ago, after seeing many online reviews. Was intending to buy a JBL Extreme or similar, but heard this outperformed it.

The JBL Extreme was more than double the price, so I took a chance and went for the X10.

W-King have done something special with this speaker. Battery life is insanely long, and it supports a physical line in, plus a TF Card. It also acts as a powerbank for your phone. Sounds quality is simply outstanding, with good separation and a punchy bass that you really, really feel. It beats the JBL Extreme hands down with every music type you’d want to try it with.

I bought a second, because why not? Two of these are still cheaper than one JBL, and you can link them together giving you 140 watts of sound, with each speaker taking a stereo channel.

The speaker is heavier and bulkier than my JBL flip, but it comes with appropriately greater power and depth of sound, which is ideal for taking out into the garden. The sound carries good bass, and is ideal for when a few friends come round and we spend time outside. So far the battery life has proved quite impressive, and can be recharged quite quickly. The one occasion the battery died, we just put the unit on charge by the door and carried on listening. For most it is probably too big and heavy to carry around everywhere (ie like you could with the flip) but it is still very easily portable. Overall very pleased with the purchase and it has become the go to speaker when working or socialising outside. Getting plenty of use.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis is an amended review. I was disappointed because the product description says it is the X10-1 model but the one dispatched is the x10. I understood from some reviews, that the X10-1 is a later & improved model. In fact that is incorrect. The company have confirmed the X10-1 model was cobbled together using available chips during the problems caused by covid. The X10 model here is the latest and now only current version. Well that’s got that settled. I previously had a 10 yr old Pure Jongo S3 which was perfectly okay until it got soaked in a rain shower. I have scoured the internet for a replacement circa 100. After far too many reviews read, I decided that this seemed to be the best fit for me. Certainly not disappointed at all. Fabulous sound and it really does belt it out for such a little speaker. It is quite heavy mind you. I wouldn’t want it in my luggage if I were flying! It is also well built. Feels solid and good rubbery type plastic case so you feel it will take knocks. Good crisp notes. There is only a minor difference to the internal v external equalisation. I found the equaliser within Spotify much better for tuning to the music & environment. Loud enough for my needs. I was working in an acre field and had it down one corner. I could here it fine wherever I was working. Pays your money and takes your choice. I am very happy with my choice.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI’ve done a lot of research for what Bluetooth speaker I wanted. It gad to be bassy, it had to be loud, it had to have sound clarity. It surpasses all of those requirements with ease. I bought a larger back pack for it, so when I commute, to London I have my sounds with me. Pairing with my android phone was easy.

It’s a shame that the louder you have it the quicker the battery life depletes. I can’t wait for the spring and summer months so I can commute with my favourite tunes playing.

The unit weighs about 3 kilos, it does feel heavy to handle I’m not gonna lie, but that’s really not an issue with me. It has a durable strap (haven’t used it yet). Everything about this unit is sturdy and solid.

You can watch YouTube reviews that other people have made. I watched them and it helped me to make my mind up.

I researched Anker, Soundcloud=(close second) JBL, Ultimate Ears BOOM series, Blitz Wolf, The 500LK (100 watt)

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI’m blown away by this blutooth speaker.

I’m a self confessed basshead, love house, dnb, jungle, trance, hiphop you get the picture, originally while doing research what to buy I had my eyes set on the JBL Boombox as I know someone whom owns one & it sounded awesome however at 300 way out of my price range.

The w king is awesome as the bass does rattle your ribcage very shocked at something so small.. but it does weigh quite a bit but since this lives in my living room that does not matter to me.

The battery life is excellent lasts me days between charges I’ve yet to have this at full volume, when the speaker arrived it came with a braided Type C cable with USB type A to connect with a plug however no plug was supplied.. I don’t mind as I’ve been using a 45w type c charger which came with my chromebook to charge it. Just make sure you use a charger with at least 30w to charge it in a few hours.

I paid around 90 ( could have been 85) as W king had a promo voucher on top of the sale they already had going for it at the time. Best money I’ve spent in ages.. usually suffer from buyers remorse a lot however not with this product that’s for sure.

Buy it, you will not be disappointed!

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersI had it delivered today and couldn’t wait to fire it up. I can only say just “WOW!!!!”.
I was gonna go for an Anker Motion Boom initially as they’re known for quality lately and I also had some of their speakers before, but because I waited too long and it wasn’t on offer anymore I decided to look online for some comparisons with other speakers in its class.
I was a bit skepticall at first, but I decided to take a leap of faith and go for this W-King X10-1. I just had it delivered earlier and I can’t stop listening to my playlist, this speaker is literally out of this world! Unbelievable sound for the price.
I have a friend who has a JBL Extreme and I tried that one full blast a few times and I thought it was really wow, but now I can say this W-King X10 is a beast compared to his JBL!
I can’t give a verdict on the battery life as it’s only been on for a couple of hours, I will update the review at a later date if I consider this to be a problem. But the build and the sound quality… Man!!! This is in the major leagues!! Whatever reviews you’ve probably watched on youtube (like I watched all of them before deciding) I can honestly tell you none of them does this speaker justice! You have to really hear it to believe the sound you can get for it’s price tag!! Sorry for all the exclamation marks but my mind is on steroids from excitement right now. JUST WOW!!
Some online reviews say that the Anker Soundcore Motion Boom and this W-King X10 are in the same class, but I cannot really see Anker’s 30W of power matching this W-King’s 70W, and I highly doubt that Anker’s sound quality will come anywhere near this!
I live right by the sea and when I ordered this speaker I imagined myself riding my bycicle down the seafront on sunny days, playing some tropical deep house full blast on this speaker, but seeing what a beast it is I’ve come to reconsider the “full blast” part as it can definitely get you in trouble…
Bottom line, if you want a really loud portable speaker with a deep punchy bass then look no further, there’s no point paying 3 times as much for big brands and getting less than this in sound quality!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersIt is advertised as having a 45 hour battery life at the lowest volume. I trialled this and only got 24 hours before battery exhaustion; admittedly this was not at the lowest volume; but it was at quite a low volume. I am not too worried about this as 24 hours is good enough and I expect most manufacturers make exaggerated claims in this respect.
I trialled it with a 512 GB microSD card; it recognised it just fine. Bluetooth pairing with my phone was easy. It took me a while to work out how to switch from Blutetooth to SD Card reliably; at first I had to keep removing the SD Card and using my laptop to delete some “marker” files that the speaker created. I finally overcame that problem by making the marker files read-only. I also trialed the aux-in by connecting an old Sony CD Walkman; quality was excellent.
Sound quality is surprisingly good; although I am not an audiophile so your opinion might differ. I listened to Tchaikovsky 1812 and enjoyed it although I wouldn’t normally use it for listening to classical music. If using it to provide party music, it can play very loud; certainly more than enough for the average room in a house; for larger rooms or halls you would probably want to buy a second speaker and pair it.
It is also a powerbank so I trialed charging an exhausted phone; it charged it successfully without depleting its own battery charge too much. It will recharge itself if plugged into usb power supply whilst at the same time playing an SD card.
The detachable strap is good quality.
Overall I am happy with this product. Only 4 stars for making an exaggerated battery life claim. Nearly dropped it down to 3 because of the hassle switching from bluetooth/sd card mode and no support from the “Help email”; but as its OK now I gave it the benefit of the doubt!

I bought the W-King X10-1 to replace my 3 year old DOSS Soundbox XL which although the DOSS plays lovely audio for both music and speech it is inconvenient compared to newer kit – mainly because it recharges only direct from the mains rather than via a USB-C cable so that charger has to be carried from room to room (extra mains chargers can be pricey and tricky). I tried the Soundcore Motion Boom but was unimpressed even though that unit has an editable graphic equaliser via a smartphone app. The Soundcore also does not have Aux out whereas the X10-1 does so if bluetooth won’t co-operate you are stuffed on a Soundcore!
The X10-1 is not compatible with the earlier X10 as you cannot mix the two as individual stereo speakers. It is also a slightly lower battery capacity of 13,200mAh rather than 15,000mAh – but so what!
The battery can be used to charge a smartphone – excellent!
The X10-1 is a handsome design – much nicer than boxey alternatives. It is smaller than it appears to me in the photos, that is good. The strap is handy for carrying the unit around and can be tucked out the way or unclipped and removed if preferred.
The equaliser has just two modes – inside and outside. I prefer outside even when inside for both music and speech. You can of course alter your equaliser settings in many laptop apps or with e.g. the excellent Android phone app called Poweramp.
So how does it sound! Its beautiful. Very impressed. I can compare it to my high-end 5.1 surroundsound system with Onkyo av receiver and Keff speakers. No “boombox” is going the match that obviously but I’m more than happy to use the X10-1 in the same room and do it routinely with a laptop.
One final comment: my X10-1 developed a random undiagnosed problem; W-King replaced it with a new one in my hands within 48 hours, excellent customer service.
