Just fitted batteries in correct sized space and found first fly. Pressed button and BANG!! stone dead. Killed a further 3. Am well pleased with this. Easy to operate. Press the little button to get 45* do NOT try and bend bat down without doing it, press small part to make it straight again. If you try and force head up or down you will break it,

Also suggest you get a good stock of batteries in. Replace frequently for optimum use. This isn’t plugged into the mains, it needs batteries. Some things just need a lot of juice. Think how long other things last on cheap batteries, not long. No use saying it doesnt work if batteries are half dead. Give it a chance and look after it.

Keep away from pets and kids. Well away, this is NOT a toy or fun for kids to use. A very good idea amd excellent value. It does the job.

Difficult to get battery port open at first, lightweight but a bit fiddly in terms of angles and extension, kills bugs instantly, they smoke when you swat them though, leaves a smell of burning flesh, not bad for under 10

This is a good size, the telescopic handle makes it easy to reach the top of windows, we have zapped loads of fruit flies which seem to have been out of control this summer. I did manage to break the handle – my fault – so we bought another zapper which is absolutely rubbish in comparison, thankfully this zapper was easy to repair.
