This is so much better than using a phone mount, it feels a lot more secure, the waterproofing works well and I find the screen easier to use and a lot bigger.

It can be mounted in several different ways, it’s tight and secure and doesn’t wobble. It does need to be plugged in and because of this it’s awkward to remove and not the most ideal thing to have sitting in the open. It’s something I mount up for long rides, it’s not something I would keep on my bike for short trips going in and out of places.

The navigation is done through connecting your phone, it works well. I prefer it like this as I get frustrated at sat-navs with it all preloaded that need updates constantly. The screen does make a huge difference compared to just using your phone to do everything.

I tried to wire this to my bike but it didn’t quite work. It worked nicely on my friends bike, perhaps because it was a new bike and a lot more modern. It works really well, connects up nice and easily and you can easily disconnect it overnight so it doesn’t get lost. Probably more suited for a touring bike as opposed to a small commuter but still great. No issues at all.

I’ve been really pleased with the performance of this – I’ve been using it for several weeks now and not encountered any issues.
The screen is nice and bright and the icons are large and the interface is responsive and easy to operate. It was really easy to connect via bluetooth.
Mounting to the bike was straightforward – I’ve put it centrally to the handlebars and it doesn’t interfere with the instrument display.
The sound quality is impressive and the navigation is spot on.

Really good value for money and really enhances my riding experience.

It took me a while to decide to actually attach this, having played with it after fixing up power from my 12 v battery. It works well exactly as you would expect in terms of mirroring your phone on Android auto. The main app for me is Google maps which is very clear and is so perfect asy to use. You can of course set up Spotify or other music apps but I have never felt like I could compromise my concentration when riding.

My main issue is that once wired in and attached there is no easy way to remove it when parking up. So, just like I don’t like leaving my helmet to temp the thieves I also don’t feel comfortable leaving this out on show.

The Carpuride W502 Motorcycle GPS Wireless Portable Stereo is a great all-around GPS unit for motorcycles. It is easy to install, has a large and bright touchscreen display, and supports both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It is also relatively inexpensive, making it a good value for the price.

The unit is powered by a 12V battery, so it will need to be connected to your motorcycle’s electrical system or battery directly. The unit also comes with a variety of mounting options, included is a handlebar mount.
It is waterproof and dustproof rated at IP67 and finally the unit has a built-in GPS receiver, so you can use it for navigation without having to connect it to your phone.

Unfortunately I’ve not had chance to use it on the road but i did turn it on and have a short demo. The unit is responsive, both touchscreen and software, everything works as it should. Would of been nice to include an sd card, but from what I’ve seen so far I’m very pleased with this purchase and it’s well worth considering in my opinion.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great addition to any serious rider.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI must admit, I was pleasantly taken aback by the build quality of this device upon its arrival. It not only looks good but also feels sturdy and boasts an impressive aesthetic appeal. For those seeking to enhance their long-distance riding experience and improve safety on the road, this device could be a game-changer.

    Pros:
    – Robust waterproof design
    – High-definition resolution
    – Smart features for safer riding

    Cons:
    – None to report

    Design:
Straight out of the box, it’s evident that this unit means business in terms of durability. The securely fastened SD tray and sun visor, especially, contribute to its reputation for being highly waterproof. Even the power button is solidly attached, providing haptic feedback, ensuring that you can engage it even whilst wearing gloves.

Both the unit and its mounting frame scream toughness, with the frame sporting a rugged and long-lasting black finish. Nothing here simply clicks into place; everything is firmly secured with nuts and bolts and doesn’t feel cheap at all.

    Features:
The actual functionality of the unit is pretty darn god. It effortlessly connects via Bluetooth to both a headset and a phone. In my case, I utilized “Android Auto,” which allowed me to access Spotify, make calls, and generally engage with my digital world in a safe and hands-free manner, thanks to being able to use voice commands.

The high-definition screen is a standout feature, and the fact that it offers a full view screen is a nice touch.

It comes with a pre-attached sun visor, which can be removed if you prefer, but personally, I find it a valuable addition that I like to keep.

    Fitting/Removing:
Thankfully, the installation is a straightforward process with clear and simple instructions (I was a bit worried it’d be overwhelming!).

The clamp for the “Head unit” is easy to affix to the front in a manner that suits your setup, and tools are provided to ensure a snug and secure fit.

Removing the head unit is equally hassle-free, thanks to its gimbal mount. Simply release the tension in the knob, and the gimbal mount effortlessly detaches the unit from its clamp. Then, the wire can be unscrewed from lower down the cable, and a waterproof cap is provided to seal that connection and keep it clean and dry.

    Verdict:
All in all, this unit is nothing short of brilliant. It offers seamless connectivity to both your bike and Bluetooth devices, boasts an impressive screen and user-friendly operation. It looks like this company has quite an extensive lineup of purpose-built GPS units for motorcycles and bikes so I’d definitely trust them for quality and safety.

In my opinion, for the money, you can’t go wrong with this choice!

5.0 out of 5 stars Quality build GPS device... Worth getting!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI’ve had a phone mount on my bike for years but this is so much better and gives me access to all the essentials on a bigger, easier to read and operate screen. Using it is pretty much the same as in my car and it connects reliably (actually slightly more reliably than my car!)

I don’t like to touch it while riding but there’s no real need because once it’s set up with your route it just displays what you need so all you need to do is glance at it.

I had to get a bit creative with the power wiring because I wanted to be able to remove it easily.

Only issue is that it’s big enough to obscure the dash on some bikes but I found after a bit of trial and error I can just about see everything at the same time.

This motorcycle GPS has truly transformed my riding experience. The wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto integration make navigation incredibly convenient. The responsive touchscreen adds to the overall ease of use, and its waterproof design ensures it’s reliable in all weather conditions. I highly recommend it to fellow bikers.

Having previously owned the car version of this, I was already familiar with its functionality, and it continues to perform excellently.

Mounting it onto the bike is a breeze, thanks to the provided handlebar clamp. In just a few minutes, you’re good to go.

The 5″ screen is a standout feature — it’s not only bright but remains easily readable even in glaring sunlight. Plus, its responsiveness makes interaction effortless.

While some features like music and phone calls are available, I personally prefer to keep my focus on the road during rides, avoiding distractions.

One important note: this unit doesn’t come with built-in maps like a dedicated GPS unit. Instead, it relies on your connected mobile phone for navigation. However, this setup works effectively and is more budget-friendly.

This unit is impressive and enhances the riding experience.

Nice clear screen and easy to use device. The clamp to attach it to your motorbike is strong, and the sunshade also comes in handy.

Instructions are clear and easy to follow to get it all wired up. Really pleased with this and a nice addition for journeys out!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis interface screen with wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto is supplied in a branded box along with an extended length power cable, a fixing bracket with a small spanner to tighten it, and a well written instruction booklet. There was however no SD memory card was included which will have to be purchased separately if required.

Installing and setting up was relatively simple picking up a 12V feed on my Honda CBF1000. The unit paired with my OnePlus 10 pro using Bluetooth after a few attempts and launched Android Auto. I found this works better if you leave it for a minute or so to pair itself. Some of this may be the phone which sometimes is a bit flaky using this app. You can also use Bluetooth to connect to a helmet communication device to provide verbal navigation or music if that is your thing.

In use the unit is impressive, offering wireless Android Auto including Google Maps, Spotify and Amazon Music. The screen is quite bright which is good during the day with a built in shade, but it is bright at night until you work out how to adjust this as there is no adaptive brightness but this can be achieved quite easily from the home screen.

This is not a GPS unit as claimed in the title. It is an interface for Apple Carplay or Android Auto and relies on your phone for GPS and the map application such as Waze to Google Maps. I also noted that one of the small screws holding the memory card cover had sheered off which may compromise its water resistance in extreme conditions.

Overall I am impressed with this unit. It offers a cost effective access to wireless Android Auto or Apple Carplay (although I have not tried the Apple functionality) for a reasonable cost compared with dedicated motorcycle GPS devices. It is simple to fit and setup and priced in line with with similar offerings. The lack of a memory card was a slight disappointment along with the broken screw but overall though this is a useful upgrade for older motorcycles.

I have owned the car version of this unit so I was pretty familiar with how it works. And it does work well.

Fitting to the bike is easy and the clamp for the handlebars is provided. Just takes a few minutes and you are ready to go.

The 5″ screen is bright and easy to read even in strong light. It is also very responsive.

I don’t actually use many of the features of this unit as I find them distracting whilst riding. I like to keep my mind on the road ahead rather than listen to music or talk on the phone but, you can certainly do all that if you want to.

Do be aware that this unit does not have built-in maps like a dedicated sat nav would. Everything comes via your connected mobile phone. But it works well and is cheaper than a dedicated box.

There is one big drawback with this unit. The power cable is hard-wired. This means that once wired into your bike’s wiring harness, the unit is then permanently fixed to the bike. And although the bracket is pretty secure, it does present an unnecessary temptation to thieves. I would have preferred a power connection on the bracket and then be able to unclip the unit from the bike when I leave it parked up somewhere.

Apart from that niggle with the hard-wired power, everything else is fine.

The Carpuride W502 Motorcycle GPS is a game-changer for avid motorcyclists, seamlessly blending technology with on-the-road convenience. First and foremost, the ability to connect my phone wirelessly using either CarPlay or Android Auto is ground-breaking. The ease with which I could handle calls, music, and navigation right from the screen, while simultaneously relying on Siri and Google voice controls, kept me connected, informed, and, most importantly, safe. Gone are the days of fumbling with my phone; this system ensures my hands remain where they belong – on the handlebar.

Moreover, the Dual Bluetooth feature is exceptional. Not only can I effortlessly connect my smartphone, but I can also sync my Bluetooth-enabled helmet, ensuring uninterrupted, clear communication or music playback. The entire system prioritizes rider safety and comfort, allowing us to stay connected without any cumbersome wires or unnecessary distractions.

The display quality is unparalleled. With a 5-inch high-definition IPS screen, I was blown away by the clarity and vibrancy. Even in broad daylight, the colors are rich and details sharp. It’s the perfect companion for mapping out routes or simply enjoying the visuals of an album cover while listening to music.

Furthermore, the robust design is noteworthy. As someone who loves to ride, regardless of the weather, having a device that can withstand both rain and extreme heat is crucial. The Carpuride W502 not only delivers in terms of IPX7 waterproofing but also comes with an anti-theft detachable bracket – giving me peace of mind whenever I park my bike.

Lastly, the installation was a breeze. Everything required was included in the package, and within no time, I had the screen securely fixed to my motorcycle handle. The convenience and stability it offers make this device a worthy investment for any motorbike enthusiast. In summary, the Carpuride W502 has significantly enhanced my riding experience, merging modern tech conveniences with the thrill of the open road. Highly recommended!

Thank you for reading my honest review, I hope you found it helpful! 🙂

I really like the GPS Wireless Portable Apple Carplay multimedia. The device has been designed very innovatively and is equipped with many features that satisfy its users. You can make calls, use it as navigation and listen to music from the 5 inch IPS touch screen of this device, which allows you to connect your phone wirelessly. The device screen provides clear visibility even when exposed to direct sunlight. I ordered it for my vehicle, but it is also suitable for use on motorcycles thanks to its waterproof feature. In general, I can say that I am very satisfied with its performance.
    Thanks.

I’m a fan of satnav – it’s so much easier and more efficient to just type in a destination than to work out a route using a map (though I do like the randomness of a map). Most bikers I know prefer a map but they’re increasingly coming round to the idea of satnav, baby steps.

This is an excellent example of its type – it does everything you’d want a GPS to do and a bit more.

Everything in the box is sturdy and well made – it feels robust and durable. The screen has an in-built shield for improved visibility and rain protection – good idea, and the device is rated at IP67 – which means it’s dust tight (6) and protected against temporary immersion in water (7) so basically it’s rain proof, but if the immersion in water is more than temporary I suggest you probably have more pressing concerns. You’ll need Android Auto or Apple CarPlay to be able to connect your phone or helmet via Bluetooth which shouldn’t be an issue as the set-up instructions are very clear. The screen is a good size – 5 inches – is full colour HD and has a resolution of 800×400, so everything should look crisp and clear.

Easy to fit – the instructions are very clear and easy to follow, anyone with a basic competence should be able to fit this with no problems. The listing says the bracket is an anti-theft design, while this is true, nothing is ever completely secure, so any additional security the user can install would, I think, be a good idea.

You can access all the features that an in-car satnav has including voice control via Siri and Android. There’s a BT feature so you can listen to BT music and answer calls hands-free. You can answer your phone and listen to music and access real-time navigation, 5G is built in so this really is as up to date as it gets – all this is great.

You can even use a 64GB TF (T-Flash) card (not supplied) to watch videos – I don’t like this feature at all. Maybe if you’re parked up somewhere, but out on the open road? No way. In a car the video function usually turns off when the car reaches 5 mph (8 kph) or so, but that isn’t the case here. I’m really not comfortable with that.

So there’s lots of functionality, it’s easy to fit and looks good, the only hesitation I have is regarding the ‘watching-videos-while-you-ride’ issue – but I guess that’s down to how responsible (or otherwise) the rider is. At 189.99 (as at 22 August 2023) this isn’t a cheap option, but it’s a modern solution to many of the issues a biker has.

NOTE – TF cards are the same size as microSD cards, and most sources say they’re interchangeable.

5.0 out of 5 stars A full spec GPS, and more.
