This is a pack of three fleece jackets measuring 0.8 metres by 1.2 metres. It’s just like a bag with an open bottom which has a drawstring toggle.

Check the size required for the bush/plant you have in mind as too large will blow all over the place and too small could damage the branches and new growth. I’m using these to protect a new dwarf fruit trees which are only just starting to get established and are unfortunately in a windy part of the garden. The bag is fairly easy to fit so long as there aren’t too many sticking out branches. The fleece is 60gsm which doesn’t feel very thick, and it is breathable. Once the drawstring is pulled as tight as you feel necessary, the plant/bush is protected from frosts, ice and snow.

I would imagine that very little light will get in so I’m going to watch the weather and remove when it’s not necessary. Watering during winter should be minimal but you can easily lift the bottom to access the base for watering, particularly if you use on a potted bush/tree. After the harsh damaging frosts of previous years, I am confident that these will protect the new fruit trees.

The only downside, which there is no way to get around with any fleece bag/jacket, is that the windage is much greater. If this is used in open garden or over planters which can’t be moved, be aware that strong winds could cause the stalk, trunk or branches of plants to break.

Value for money seem quite sturdy though string a bit thin, good size, thicker than some other fleece l have used so should give good protection and hopefully last year after yea

Great protectors for your plants during cold frosty weather.
The bags have done the job stopping frost from damaging plants.
The bags have a drawstring to secure them around the plants.
    Great quality and affordable.

The winter covers are great value keeps my small trees free from wind rain snow and ice. They are quite thick covers they gather at the bottom and you can s as Leo tie them so they don’t blow away in the wind

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis fleece is very good quality. It is thicker and more robust that some I’ve had before. It’s perfect for my plants in the “frozen north” as it is very necessary and I need to trust it to do a good job. I highly recommend this fleece.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our Users3 PCS Winter Plant Frost Protection Covers

You get three of these covers for Approx 13 so about 4.33 each
Cheaper than buying from a garden centre
Easy to manage, just pop over the plant that needs protection and pull up cord at bottom
In my pic the pot is hidden but you would be able to sit cover inside pot rim
These bags are quite thick and I’m hoping will let enough light through
As you can see from pic, you can hardly see my hand through it
Will give them a go and see how they cope with the cold conditions, we lost a lot of plants last winter
Can’t recommend as yet as not tested but they are good quality at a fair price

(Hope you found my review helpful)

5.0 out of 5 stars Good quality at a fair price but untested

I got these frost protection covers for a few of our plants that will die come winter if not properly covered.
The ones we had last year were a thinner material and split, killing my huge Canna lily and Callistemon shrub, so this year I will hopefully manage to keep the new ones alive with these thicker fleeces.
These are ones that go over the tops of plants instead of being wrapped around, making it harder to gather the leaves together to fit in on a bigger plant.
There is a drawstring at the opening of the bag, making it easier for fastening, and although the cover seems thicker it can still allow moisture and air to get through, but stops frost, birds and a number of insects from getting in.
At 12.99 ( with a 10% off voucher) at the time of writing this review, these seem like a good buy as they are a good size, however I can’t really give a full decision on them until spring to see what has survived.

Every year I get some new outdoor plants and now we have quite few placed along side of house wall. Before first frost comes, I will need to use these protection covers on my plants. They are easy to use however they don’t have zip on side like my other covers, they have only drawstring on bottom. They are suitable for slim, not veey bushy plants, quite small as well as these covers are in size 0.8x 1.2m so not that big.
The covers are made of fabric which is breathable. It protects from the frost and strong winds. I wouldnt call them a ‘fleece’ though.. as fleece always reminds me of fluffy blankets.
They are bright in colour and the day light can easily get through to the plant. Fabric is strong and surely will last for at least two seasons or more.
I had very similar covers used last year on few plants and they have passed the test. Cold didn’t bother plants at all. I will reuse the same covers this year as well as I stored them nicely in clean and dry condition.
Price is good for set of 3 plant covers. Online there are also different sizes to choose from.
