Lovely quality Andrex toilet rolls. The rolls seem to be lasting a good amount of time. I can see where it has the perforation on the 3, it doesn’t seem to make much difference to how much my kids use, but is a nice idea. Lovely and soft.
I normally use the supreme quilts toilet rolls but these Gentle Clean ones are pretty decent too as they still feel nice and soft but there just not as thick and they are a bit cheaper. The kids also seem to really like the puppy drawings that are all over the rolls!
I like the way every third sheet has an easier perforation to encourage you to use the right amount, and for 2-ply sheets they are durable enough to not rip too easily either. They also soak up a reasonable amount of liquid.
At around 1 per mega roll, I feel they represent reasonable value for money. It’s a product I’m happy to recommend and I feel they are worth the full five stars!
This toilet roll is lovely quality. The paper feels strong and soft against the skin. The rolls have the andrex dog printed over it. Each sheet of paper tears of the roll perfectly, no ripping. The rolls are generous size. Lovely toilet roll
That pack is actually 5 packs of 4 rolls and works out to be of good value for the bulk buy. The toilet paper itself though is more like top end super market paper than the usual thick and soft paper from Andrex they’re really long rolls though and do last ages. They also have an easy to rip line every 3 pieces meaning people are more likely to use less paper making them last even longer still.
I do wish it was a softer tissue but overall I’m still pleased with the value of these and how long they last. If you’re happy to give up a little comfort for more paper than I’d recommend this.
Andrex have obviously determined that people most often use three sheets when wiping, and so have increased the size of perforations every three sheets. This must have cost millions to re-tool, so I hope it’s worth it. Personally, it’s not a problem I’ve encountered before. Because there are perforations between each sheet anyway, you are free to select how many sheets are appropriate.
Sounds like a solution in search of a problem.
If you don’t know about Andrex by now then you really have been living under a rock! I’ve been using Andrex for as long as I can remember to be fair and have always found them to be one of, if not, the best toilet rolls on the market.
There’s certain things you can get away with spending less on, however I’m a firm believer that there’s no point on skimping when it comes to toilet roll. Every time I’ve tried cheaper brands they are either like sandpaper or last no where near as long. I usually go through 2-3 cheaper rolls for every 1 Andrex.
These have been no different, in fact more so now that these are mega rolls. They do certainly seem a fair bit larger than your average roll. Super soft as well.
Do yourself a favour and grab a pack of these. They’ll last longer than cheaper brands and they’re extremely more comfortable to use. 5*!
We usually use supermarket own brand so Andrex Gentle Clean was an eye opening experience. The packaging was perfect, the detail of the puppies on the toilet paper are sweet, my children and my husband noticed the difference from our usual toilet roll. I was not too thick so it clogs the toilet and not too thin that it doesn’t do the job it was just perfect. One very happy family that has experienced good quality and will now be switching from our old brand.
Amazing toilet roll that is soft and feels great to touch. It has an added bonus of embossed puppies which are adorable and very appealing to younger children. A must for any family.
Andrex toilet tissue is far superior to most brands, and that is usually reflected in the price. However, what you have here is a pack of 20 Mega Rolls, which contain the same amount of toilet tissue as 30 standard rolls. That makes for a cost per standard roll of just under 66p, with a cost for 4 standard rolls equalling 2.63. This pack is more of a convenience buy than a money saving exercise, because 4 packs can be purchased for around this price at many supermarkets. I get the feeling that by packaging them as 50% bigger Mega Rolls, they might be trying to lull you into the belief you are getting a bargain, but do the math, and check supermarket prices first. It’s still a reasonably good purchase though if you want to buy in bulk. Comes as 5 packs of 4 rolls, each embossed with the Andrex puppy.
