Two pairs oh hands and it's job done.
Delivery was remarkaby swift and the shelves arrived in three flat pack boxes each of which can be hauled about by a reasonably fit person with no particular problem thanks to the strong external straps.
HINT #1. Open the box with your address on it first because that’s the one with the rubber mallet in it. HINT #2. The only extra tool you will need is a screwdriver to bend the tabs that fit the cross braces.
HINT #3. If you intend to attach the bays together you will need to buy the separately available joiners.
Having two people to assemble the shelves makes life easier not because they are heavy but because during assembly the uprights do tend to wave about in mid air and having someone else to hold onto them will save a few curses along the way. In our case we are both in our 70’s and having worked out what to do with the first assembly the second and third only took us about 30 minutes each. Final result? Precisely what we had hoped for… a robust and good looking set of shelves in a tidy garage. Oh, one more thing… we purchased the 60cm deep shelves and the extra few quid is well worth it because the 90cm by 60cm base makes them pretty stable if they aren’t screwed to a wall. I’d recommend them to anyone.

    Difficult to assemble.
Not easy to assemble, but good enough for the price. But I think when I ordered the multipack, the brackets to join the three units together should have been included. But you do get a free rubber mallet.

For the money they’re pretty good. It’s a two man job for sure, especially in the early stages. We ordered the set of three and only realised a rubber mallet was provided, which helped immensely. The first section we built was a bit of a nightmare, the paint was a bit thick so it made it difficult to locate and slot the clips together. The 2nd one went up in minutes, it clicked together beautifully. Whilst I’d say it’s not heavy duty and I’m very dubious of the 250kg shelf claim, they are however very sturdy. The shelving is 600mm so it provides excellent depth. Very pleased.
