It is perfectly fine, works as expected, and my Bluetooth accessories connect to it just fine. I’ve had no issues using it, but I did notice that it gets very hot, especially the metal part that actually goes in the USB port, because I noticed when I took it out I nearly burnt my hand. I’m not sure why it was getting so hot, perhaps from the regular use on long gaming sessions for my mouse and keyboard, but it seems to still be working.

For 12.74 ( at the time of review ) this is a neat little bluetooth dongle and gave a good range for being so small.

I tried it on an old laptop running Win 8.1 and a desktop running Win 10 Pro.
It does come with a small cd of drivers and in the instructions it does say to instal these first, however as the laptop did not have a cd drive I just plugged it in. It took a couple of minutes to automatically download the drivers, but that could be just because it is an old computer.
After that it picked up my bluetooth devices, along with quite a few from surrounding flats 🙂

Similarly on the desktop I just plugged it in without drivers, it downloaded them very quickly and all worked fine from there on.

Basically on both systems it ran straight out of the box, found it had a decent range and did not come across any drop outs or loss in quality.

    Have no problem recommending it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works well, with a decent range.

This dongle has the latest specification of the Bluetooth protocol, as is now, 5.3, and that is the main thing that drew me to it. I plugged it in and it worked just fine, which is great, and that saves a hassle, but it is a bit disappointing that it just loaded up a generic driver that Microsoft plug and play located rather than tracking down a device specific one. However, that is not necessarily something that will deeply bother most people, unless they care about it, or if there is something special in the manufacturer’s driver itself.

This is not specifically one of those Bluetooth things designed for the user to stream music for gaming, but I have reviewed a few of those devices and there are (for that purpose) better ones. However as a generic one this is good, and seems to have no particular issues.

I do not know if it works on Linux or Mac, I have only tried it on a PC, but that is what it is marketed for here, and I am using Windows 10 for Workstation, and for that, it’s just fine.

I picked this up, hoping it would help me pair my dive computer to Windows 10, but it seems the Windows 10 and the computer just don’t play nicely (It does, however, work fine with the dedicated software for the computer, so there’s no problem with the dongle), so I’ve used it mostly to pair headphones and my phone to the PC.

What I’ve noticed is that, compared to the older dongle I had, the dropout rate is far lower and when pairing you don’t need to have the device anything like as close (ie right next to) this dongle.

In simple terms, it does what it should with the minimum of fuss.

Although I have a bluetooth card in my PC, it is old and slow, and I wanted to see if the adapter would improve the feedback I’m getting when using a wireless art tablet.
Installation was easy, plugging it in to a spare USB3 port meant that Win 11 automatically installed the drivers and activated it. I did have some issues deactivating my existing bluetooth card, but once I did that I noticed an immediate difference.
The speed of registering pen-strokes and actions increased dramatically and I was finding I was getting near instantaneous feedback, something I’d always wanted on more demanding art projects. Also i was able to connect some bluetooth headphones at the same time and listen to HD sound, withouth any drop in latency.
It is a small adapter that impacts so much of what I do, just by increasing the speed. I’m yet to do a full transfer speed review, but my inital tests show that it blows my older adapter out of the water. I would certainly recommend!

This is a very useful product. Simply plug into your laptop etc and that’s it. It’s extremely useful if you are working with dated equipment that will not discover or pair with modern equipment. It’s small, compact and robust. Good value for money.

I don’t have a Bluetooth enabled motherboard on my desktop PC and it seems more and more to be the best solution when it comes to wireless connectivity. It was really easy to install on Windows 11 basically being ‘plug and play’ compatible. Windows auto-installed drivers that seem to be working perfectly. I didn’t have to use the driver disk or download anything.
It has really surprising range considering most Bluetooth dongles or cards I have seen have an aerial. I have no connection problems anywhere in my flat and the coverage is perfect no matter what room I am in. My mouse, phone, headphones (Galaxy Bud2 Pro) have yet to have any issues maintaining a rock solid connection to my PC. Admittedly, it is mainly the headphones that gain the most distance. It is really nice being able to not worry about my connection dropping to them. I have had problems in certain rooms in the past with other wireless products that have come packaged with a dedicated item specific dongle. I was so sure that these were just problematic areas where nothing would work. I am over the moon that this dongle has had none of these issues.
The only reason I haven’t given this a full five star rating is the problem with the Bluetooth codec itself still not being quite there with flawless/lossless audio. Really, that is being hyper critical as there is no such thing as lossless level audio over a wireless connection. This really is a five star product if I’m being reasonable.
I should also mention that it is using the latest Bluetooth v5.3 technology.

This Bluetooth adapter has been brought to link up controllers with my desktop will do the job well as when I put it in the system it picked up the controller quickly some controllers you need to put in a different mode in order for them to work
