I’m so pleased I brought this set. I had a look in The Entertainer and this set would have almost been double the cost.
My niece, who is almost 2, loves it and it gives me a chance to show her how to use a hair dryer and a round brush in the safest possible way. It’s such a sweet bonding moment to get ready together.
The dryer and straighteners sound so real that I had to touch the straighteners just to make sure that they weren’t hot! The button on the hair dryer does need to be continuously pressed to be turned on – which is great for power saving as well as cognitive development for children. The dryer blows out a very little amount of cold air, which my niece finds funny.
I would advise buying rechargeable batteries. It would be lovely if the toys were rechargeable via USB, etc.
Also, I too (along with many others who have written reviews) assumed that the comb was missing. Although this might have been the case for others, I found the comb after I emailed the supplier – I didn’t look as thoroughly as I thought I did. Inside really slim cardboard sleeve was the comb! The suppliers were great and were about to send me another comb, but I managed to stop them just in time.
The items came in a normal, standard cardboard box and not the usual display box it comes in. The Amazon sticker was stuck to the front so it made the gift look very unappealing due to the box having a huge white Amazon sticker at the front. I wish I’d have bought from smyths so the box looked more presentable.

Child absolutely loved these. I bought ti go with a child’s dressing table. Showed a picture to a friend. Her comment was “I have that one, but it’s a lot of money for a child”. That’s how realistic it looks

Purchased for my niece and she absolutely loves them!
She really enjoys playing with them, sound and light effects really make them seem real, a real asset to role play for little ones.
