Security light.
I brought this to replace an existing broken one, that was here when I moved in. I’m saving on energy as it’s LED and only uses 30w, and it’s surprisingly bright and covers a large area, I pointed in down a bit as I didn’t want to blind my neighbours across the road! I use this on my drive and it’s fantastic, especially in the winter months as a solar powered one would not last as most of the sun is out the back in the garden. Very happy.
Security light replaceme
This was to replace a damaged light which covers from my garage main entrance to the end of my property, some 20ft x 30ft which it does very well. Replacement was straightforward, pull out the old cable, feed the new one through into the garage and use the original connection. One small point, when looking to replace an existing lamp it’s always worth checking how much cable you get. CLY are generous and supply about a metre. However, I’ve been caught out before and the “tail” provided is woefully short. I only fitted the lamp last week so excellent performance so far is based upon that period. The very wet weather recently has certainly tested the waterproofing!!
Outside lights
Great motion sensor lamp. No fiddling with switches/knobs ect. All automatic. Just attach to a wall, and adjust lamp aim. Good bright light!
There’s about a metre of cord, so will need a plastic connector, if intending to extend cord.
Nice little unit, works well.
Easy to fit and set up, used the wiring from my old 500w outside light. Once the old lamp was removed just added a new connector and mounted the new 30w led light, I had to wait till dusk to set the angle and distance I needed to light my drive and all was good. Now lets see how long this unit lasts.
The lamp is very nice. But what the instructions fail to tell you, it works purely on the sensors, in that it only lights when it’s dark. When installed I turned it on to check it worked, which it did. Turning it off then back on the light didn’t light. I left untill dark and it works fine. It’s responsive only if it’s dark and you activate the sensors.
No frills
Received this yesterday and installed in about 30 mins.The big plus is that it has no sensor or light settings that make adjusting it a faff.Had one previously that kept coming on at all times and I just couldn’t get the sensor adjusted properly though why anyone would want it to operate in daylight is beyond me.
This works at night and stays on for around 30 seconds.Perfect.

he product is good and easy to put into position but the instructions are lacking regarding the set up once installed.An infernal job getting the setting to determine that the light only activates during darkness…managed to achieve this but not sure how and only after much time spent up and down ladder.Attention to this detail would give this product 5 stars all round from me…shame really.
Superb ligh
Lightweight and easy to install although wall mounting bracket could be of slightly thicker steel. Perhaps the best outside light I have ever purchased. The 1 metre attached flex is a real bonus and easily joined onto a longer wire indoors. I am very happy with my purchase
Good buy
I was looking for a decent one to do the job, this one is bright enough and is very prompt in detecting movement in a very wide angle. I did not see any of the adjustment so I am guessing it has them sorted allready. Comes on when it’s dark and detects movement. And that si what I wanted.
OK but not adjustable
Easy enough to install but as I was replacinga defective fitting all the wiring etc. was already there.
The biggest drawback of this item is that the time that it switches on for is not adjustable and at 30 seconds it is not really long enough.
Daylight in my yard
I bought a similar light from Screwfix 2 years ago but it didn’t last past a year before it started losing LED cells. I’ve had to tilt this down as it lights up my neighbours kitchen as well as my back yard. Actually thinking of fitting a peak on it to stop that.
If it lasts more than a couple of years I’ll be happy as I don’t like the waste created

Be careful as I assumed there would be adjustments on the sensor (there is not)
But that being said I was pleasantly surprised at how well it works and is perfect for my applicatio
Installed in 20 minutes, works well.
It arrived promptly and was simple to install, replacing an old one that failed.
It works well, nice and bright.
The only question remaining is how long it will last. I think 5 years minimum is a reasonable expectation. Wait and see.
So easy!
I love this light, it was really easy to put up and connect. No fiddly distances and times, it is just fine as it is. The light is very bright and no bulb to change. What’s not to like for the price!
Great value for money
I put this onto the side of my garage to light a path. I put a plug into the cable, then plugged it into an extension cable from a socket in the garage. Simple and very effective and bright. No adjustment for sensitivity of timing but for that price it works really well.
Censor ligh
It would have been a lot handier is there was a sensor setting but i can live with it hence the 4star I should have looked at it before buying
Brigh
It comes without a plug so it was very easy to slot through the hole in the garage wall made for the previous installation. It has a short lead that will need some sort of extension. I needed to add one to reach beyond the upswing of the garage door as it opened.
These are not serious problems.
The light is very bright and extends well into the street. But mine is not the only one that does this!!!
Best of all is the ability to focus the sensor on my side door and steps so it lights immediately that door moves. Able to eliminate movement beyond 5 metres while angled there. Perfect for me.
Good value, straightforward to fi
The light was a replacement for one that was fitted 2 years ago. In fact I’ve recently replaced two others and I’m concerned that they don’t last long. This was pretty much the cheapest sensor security light available, but it doesn’t have range/time (the light stays on for) controls, which I didn’t realise when I ordered it. It seems fine, so we’ll see how long it lasts, though.
It is so bright that the light picks out every blade of grass in its light path, which covers the whole of our front garden (12 metres square, 40′ x 40′). It is both lovely and strange to see our garden looking green in the middle of the night, against the pitch blackness of the surrounding areas. Got it for our dog as he needs to go out at night and his night sight is not as good as our cat’s. Very reassuring too, as there had been break-ins and thefts in our area, with strange night visitors at 2am. People snooping around? Now we can see who they are.
Downsides. A little bit too sensitive. Comes on with the slightest breeze movement through the grass. Will grow less sensitive with time. Also the wire is too short. Would be a best seller if it had come with a 3m length wire instead and with a 13 amp plug (which we took off a spare hair dryer in the middle of the night). Most people are likely to place the security light high up above the door post and door to floor length is 2 metres, with another metre from the door to the mains switch.
