I replaced an old thru box (1 in 2 out) with this box and it replaced that box with no problems and has given me extra outs. Where this box really shone was the BLE input. I used an android app to send bluetooth midi and it integrated flawlessly. Very happy with my new setup.

Für Ketron SD9 passt es
Hab mir den Adapter fr die Kommunikation mit iPad und Boox Tab X besorgt, damit ich die beiden mit dem Ketron SD9 verbinden kann. Das klappt hervorragend.
Mann muss nur bercksichtigen (sofern mehrere Midi-Devices verwendet werden), dass das Ketron SD9 nur einen Midi-Ausgang hat.
Hier ist ggf. noch ein Splitter notwendig, wenn man aus dem SD9 zwei Midi-Outs bentigt.
Alternativ kann man iPad und Boox Tab X auch per USB Kabel direkt mit dem SD9 verbinden. Das hatte auch geklappt.

You can now control your MIDI equipment remotely from an app or something. I have a bunch of CME WIDI devices and they seamlessly connect to each other on power up. ( only two at a time unless you make groups ) This is really helpful. I have two of these and both work as expected.

Cable-less midi è ora una realtà!
Volevo liberarmi delle connessioni via cavo dai miei dispositivi midi al mio computer, e il Widi Bud Pro di CME ha risolto il mio problema brillantemente. La app a corredo funziona perfettamente, e il mio desktop ha un cavo in meno ad aggrovigliarsi sulla scrivania.
Excellent Little Device
1. Install the APP from app store (android or apple)
2. Find the widiuhost within app
3. The app automatically prompts you about latest firmware updates for the widiuhost (if any available)
4. I suggest you to update your device’s firmware before attempting to do anything else
5. after the firmware updates are completed, the device is ready to work
I purchased a usb type-c to usb mini converter cable and used widi u host device on behringer x-touch mini. It made my behringer x-touch mini interface wireless, and the power provided by the widi uhost (thru its own type-c port) is enough for the behringer x-touch mini. I use this setup to wirelessly control my nux mighty space amp. My setup is like this;

Excelente, cumpli mis espectativas y es de un uso muy fcil, compr dos para poderlo conectar con un mdulo KORG a un keytar Roland AX1 , solo descargue la app de la play atore en mi celular y los empareje va Bluetooth

I did however have an issue installing them - my iPad would not recognise them. There was excellent and immediate support from the manufacturer and from the Facebook user group so I was able to identify the problem quickly - good support is rare these days so I think the manufacturer should be praised for doing good support. The issue turned out to be a) firmware needed to be updated and b) all other bluetooth profiles must be deleted before installation ( in my case it was an Apple Pencil causing the problem). So you must delete all existing bluetooth connections, then install and run a firmware update on the WIDI, and then re-install the other bluetooth profiles on top. Everything now works and is of high quality. Recommended.

I use several CME WIDI products, All work very well although you may spend a bit of time on the CME website getting it set up initially. Any difficulties give me a shout, I have been through the pain barrier and may be able to help. Once set up everything works perfectly and have never had a problem
I have not tried it yet, but this is really a very innovative product. It elminates the need of messy cables. It will also audio to be sent and received to/from non-bluetooth devices.

Perfect for wireless MIDI on the Roland AE-20
I use this with the Roland Aerophone AE-20 which enables it to connect to the built-in Roland Bluetooth MIDI Support to provide wireless MIDI to my desktop/laptop and can now access the entire world of VSTs from the comfort of my own wind instrument without having cables.
It wasn’t that clear as to what combination of CME WIDI Bud Pro and/or CME WIDI Uhost I might need to achieve what I wanted but I was pleased to find I only need the Bud Pro plugged into the computer.
It would be nice if it were cheaper. It would have been even nicer if Roland had provided this functionality themselves but it did get the job done and very discreetly. I didn’t need anything physically connected to the Aerophone. I can’t comment on distance as I’m only using the whole setup in one room.
For anyone who is interested, I am also using a Line 6 Relay G10T II wireless system plugged into the Aerophone to transmit the built-in sounds to an external speaker as the internal speakers aren’t that great.
With the addition of the CME MIDI Bud Pro, I am now truly untethered whatever 7/8 fusion jazz solo I wish to play (at least until the Aerophone batteries need recharging).
It works as it should and I’m happy with it. I bought my one less then a year ago for 31 and wanted to buy another one until I found out that they are 59 now. That is an increase of 28. I don’t how they can justify such a price hike.
Fantastic wireless MIDI
I bought 2 of these to connect my keytar to my master keyboard. Setup couldn’t be easier, I just took both of them out the packaging, plugged them in, and they automatically paired up and started sending/receiving MIDI data. They run off the tiny amount of power supplied by a MIDI port so no additional wiring is needed.
The range and reliability of the transmitted data is excellent – I’ve tried using them in a fairly large hall with about 30m between them, and it picked up every note (and, more importantly, every note-off) that I played.
Highly recommended!
Works well but firmware upgrade could be better supported
This adaptor works well. I wanted a wireless connection to just the input of a keyboard, while power for wireless midi usually comes from Midi out (which I wanted to use for midi through). Worked well. However, when I tried to update the firmware using an iPad, it failed, in a way that matched lots of other complaints on the Apple Store. Fortunately, I was able to carry on using the Android app. Support was quick, but the information provided would have been better provided with the app, rather than after a problem.

Works really well connecting PC to Roland wind controller and foot controller. No connection issues (only used over distances of a few metres). Set up with app not very intuitive but online videos helped. Follow the instructions to the lette

Bought it to connect my Yamaha P70 to my 2022 iPad Air. The P70 Piano predates the iPad’s creation, the P70 came out in 2007 yet it still works. I am able to send and receive signal to and from the P70 to the iPad.
One niggle is that it came with no instructions, the only hint of what to do is the triangle on the unit, that is meant to suggest the larger one goes into the OUT from MIDI. There is no instructions on how to connect, it self powers on when the P70 is switched on.
To find the WIDI, I used an app call MIDIMTTR as a bridge between the Moog Synth app to the P70, took a bit of trial and error but got it working. Latency is not noticeable and it’s even polyphonic.
Works easily, simply and well
I have a 1980s synth. Just plugged this in with the partner at the other end and it works. Studio One immediately just sees it as if it’s a wired connection. No detectable latency. Very pleased.

I use this with my fractal axe iii turbo to connect with Fracpad 3 and it works great… easy setup and lots of videos online YouTube if you need more Info.
It works, be patient with firmware updates
Great product, now I can compose music from my digital piano directly onto Sibelius for iPad. 🙂 boy Times have changed no more scraps of manuscript quill pen and lots of discarded tunes in the paper bin ..
Midi into iPad ? Done !
I used an Arturia Keystep and plugged the Widi Out into the 5 pin socket. Launch the Korg Midi BT app and ping it was there. As Dave Smith says, the latency is excellent .
One small word of warning the Other part of the adapter the Widi IN needs power from the Widi OUT via a small lead. For the Keystep, this is at the wrong angle and pushes the keyboard up. Be warned if you need External Sync or otherwise.

Wireless Bluetooth on a digital kit surrounded by wires may seem like a funny option, but one of my soundcards doesn’t have MIDI. Anyway this took a little while to sort out because my Macbook is on High Sierra and for some reason it wouldn’t find it in the Audio MIDI Setup tool.
I sucessfully paired this with my other machine running Catalina so I knew it wasn’t a failed unit. I then downloaded the app from the Apple Store and connected to the device. I upgraded the firmware on it to the newer firmware, which still didn’t work, so I reflashed it with the older one. For some reason this worked and I was then able to connect using the Apple Audio MIDI Setup tool. You have to go to the Bluetooth section in order to see it and connect.
Once connected it was so, so simple to hook into Ableton and I was up and running in no time. One thing is that if you don’t use it, it will go to sleep and you have to re-connect in the MIDI Setup tool, so just add this to the finder bar and you’ll have easier access next time.
Latency is really good! I couldn’t really feel anything too untoward, and it’s really opened up this drum kit to more options using Komplete, Battery, Contact and of course Ableton’s Drum Rack/Sample triggering…
Make sure you download the manual and watch a few of their tutorial videos on YouTube. They’re really simple but get you up and running…

Keytar to synth with no cables
I already had one of these, got another and now I can connect my keytar to my synthesizer with no cables!
I read nothingdownloaded the WIDI app on my iPad, press and held the button on each of my WIDI masters and the app offered an update. After that all I do is witch on the keytar and synth and it just works with no noticeable lag.

Wireless MIDI
Bought two of these to use with my x32 mixer and footswitch to turn effects on and off when performing live. These are self-powered so just plug in and they automatically connect and are ready to go. These work great for linking two MIDI devices together.
Terrific little device
I plugged this into my 1989 Clavinova CLP 570 (yes, that’s a 32 year old Yamaha) and had it connected to an app on an iPad in seconds. It works flawlessly and with no configuration (although I used the app to reduce the transmission power as the iPad is only a foot away from the device). Suddenly I have a ton of MIDI enabled apps to choose from to help me finally learn to sight-read and play properly. Seriously impressed with the stability and ease of use.
Skeptical about Bluetooth
I’ve always been sceptical about using Bluetooth for any serious application. Have 4 of this devices and haven’t had any issues since I’ve purchased. Haven’t noticed any noticeable latency whilst playing keyboards or electronic drums.
Amazing little gizmo, buy 2
Was looking for a second Yamaha md BT-01, and stumbled on this one. Lucky me. Ordered 2. Fired up one in a controller, while having the old Yamaha connected on one of my synths. It automatically connected and the controller started to make sound… what the hell, I thought… until I realised it was directly connecting with the Yamaha BT-01. Fired the second one on another synth, but no, cannot connect 3, yet. But they could also connect between each other no prob, once I removed the Yamaha one.
In any case, no computer to route these, imperceptible latency… can’t go wrong with them. Been playing wireless for a whole day, zero drops. Nice one!

Great product. I have two and they auto connect almost instantly making them perfect to hook up two bits of older kit. I’ve also had no issue connecting to the OSX Bluetooth, or on the IPhone, where (if you have difficulty for any reason) you might want to use midimittr app to hook it up internally. You may also want to switch them on one at at time if using those, so it doesn’t auto-connect to the second Widi-master.
This thing has literally had me chucking out MIDI cables as there is no audible latency and an excellent distance coverage.
There is tonnes of support for the product from the development team, particularly on the CME Facebook group.
