This comes in a straightforward cardboard box with the advertising all over the ‘doors’, and it opens at both sides so you can just slip the contents in their plastic tray out. So presented as an advent calendar this is a bit rubbish. BUT I love the contents: 24 gem/mineral stones, some raw, some polished, with a brief information sheet describing each stone in good English, also a little velvet bag to store them with a small magnifying glass. Just the thing to stimulate the interest of kids. Not all the stones, inevitably, look like their picture so there’s more exploring to be done with the help of Google, but the sheet gets you started. There’s a price deal at the time of writing which makes this even more attractive. A great advent gift which is different from the usual.
