Bought this as a gift for Christmas. Has a bright display and a magnet on the back so you can stick it to your oven / fridge. It feels a little flimsy and cheap, the ring around the edge looks like rubber in the photo but is actually plastic which was a bit of a shame. But otherwise, really pleased!
Ordered the ‘Silver’ version.
The Good:
At only a max of 99 minutes, this is not a timer for those long cooking recipes. But for your average kitchen meal, 99 minutes is more than enough.
It’s very stylish looking and easy to use.
Turning the dial has a very faint ‘notch’ feedback. Turning at the slowest speed/single notch, alters the time by 5 seconds (which is the smallest increment on this timer). Faster dial turning, adjusts the timer at greater speeds and even if you overshoot, all you need to do is dial-back and you can set your desired time in a matter of seconds.
Single press of the button (the small dot on the front panel) is all thats required to start or stop the timer.
_______________
The Not-So-Good:
The magnets could have been a bit stronger…. I don’t believe it will ever fall, but in only a few uses, I’ve already managed to twist the whole unit by a few degrees when turning the dial quickly (on two diffferent surfaces – fridge and cooker).
On the rear there is the battery panel and light and sound button options. My unit was extremely tempremental in actually getting it to turn on because one of the battery connectors clearly isn’t making sufficient contact. Had to remove the batteries twice to correct this…. which in itself is a hidden challenge becuase despite having a strip of material to help ease out the batteries, the bottom battery will NOT come out without the help of a thin flat object (i.e. a knife edge)!
In the end, trial and error in turning and poking a particular battery, managed to result in a constant connection to power the unit. But this problem will no doubt resurface again when the batteries die.
Digital kitchen time is very good. Easy to set up,just need to rotate and fix how many minute you want, max 99min. Have a magnet, I keep mine on the fridge. It’s good to reminding kids to switch off games. Also very useful for kitchen when cooking egg or pasta.
I have always used a wind up kitchen timers but found that they would often not start, even after winding them up to the full 60 minutes. Even when they did work, I would have to wind them up again when cooking a chicken as that would take over an hour. This timer doesn’t have a time limit. It has nice bright display , and is easy to use – just rotate the bezel to the required cooking time.
Just pop in 3 AAA batteries and you ready to go. Overall I am very pleased with my purchase.
I use this as a customisable pomodoro timer on my work desk. The interface is as simple as it gets (in a very good way) and the whole thing looks slick and minimal.
Despite a very small criticism of lacking sturdy rubber feets so that you can set the timer with one hand, it still gets five stars as it’s quite affordable compared to the other options. Another thing to note is that it needs three AAA batteries which aren’t included with the product.
Innovative design means that once you twist the outer frame of the device it adjusts the time, then pressing the button at the bottom activates the countdown.
Really handy that it has a magnet which makes it super convenient for me to put onto the side of my fridge. Its strong and I have no concerns about it falling.
When the item isn’t in use, the timer turns off and it remains a sleek, modern product in my kitchen. When the timer goes off, it produces a subtle chime noise to alert you.
Really pleased with the item, please note that it takes 3x AAA which are not provided.
We got this timer as a tool to help my son with various routines as he can actively be involved and feel like he has control over things.
For the past two nights, he sets a 5 minute timer to notify him of when it’s time to go up to bed and now, there’s not arguing about going upstairs
We also incorporate the timer into brushing teeth and getting his coat on for school. It’s a great little tool! Highly recommend it. I especially like how tactile the rotary dial feels.
5/5!
Bought this thinking it would be better than the cheap one we already have but other been very unreliable.
It froze and stoped working regularly so you have to remove the batteries to reset it.
the sound has changed so its now super quiet and sort of muffled making it almost impossible to hear unless your stood next to it. This was also remedied by removing the batteries to reset.
The seller sent out a replacement unit and I’m pleased to report that this one has been faultless, the first one must have just been a bad unit.
Easy to use by spinning the outside of it, clear bright face thats adjustable in brightness as well as having volume adjustment as well.
Overall I’m quite pleased with the outcome after having a bad unit replacement!
