The best gym timer ⏱️
This is exactly what I have been searching for.
A simple to use gym timer that’s magnetic and is easy to adjust.
Easy change dial, you can press the face to reset, pause and start. The volume can be adjusted.
Absolutely spot on and looks great!
Max time setting is 99mins.
It is larger than I expected (76mm diameter). Large display, two light intensity, two settings for sound and works with 3x AAA batteries. You can set the timer by turning the outer perimeter (wheel) in 5s increments or if you turn it faster it speeds up.
Max time setting is 99mins which enough for most meal I make.
When you start the timer, the light will dim but you still can see the numbers. Good for battery saving.
Great magnetic timer with easy dial adjustme
This is perfect for in my kitchen for setting a timer for when cooking or making a brew etc. Has a strong magnetic back so can stick it on any metal surface and doesn’t move when turning the outer dial to adjust the timer. Nice clear easy to read display and a good loud beep when timer ends. Simply press the button at the front bottom of the face to cancel the beeps.
Large LED display means you wont miss the countdown!
I bought two of these for myself and one for a friend who sometimes struggles to focus. I actually call it a concentration timer because it helps me stick to a task without being distracted. If I tell myself I need to spend 30 minutes finding a birthday present for my mother online I will set the timer to 30 minutes. The large LED display is so bright and effective it keeps me in check. It is also very portable and easy to control.
Useful around the house
I bought this primarily to use as a timer for the oven and while boiling eggs. My husband uses it while working from home to time focus sessions . I have also used to let my toddler know her screen time is over.
These are magnetic and stick well to the fridge. The timer works by rotating the frame around it and pressing the small round button at the front .
Useful cooking time
Works well when cooking at the stove for timing addition of ingredients etc. If would be good if the magnets were stronger as the whole unit can rotate if trying to select a time quickly. Other than that a good product.
Great kitchen timer!
Bought this as a gift for Christmas. Has a bright display and a magnet on the back so you can stick it to your oven / fridge. It feels a little flimsy and cheap, the ring around the edge looks like rubber in the photo but is actually plastic which was a bit of a shame. But otherwise, really pleased!
Stylish and easy to use
Ordered the ‘Silver’ version.
The Good:
At only a max of 99 minutes, this is not a timer for those long cooking recipes. But for your average kitchen meal, 99 minutes is more than enough.
It’s very stylish looking and easy to use.
Turning the dial has a very faint ‘notch’ feedback. Turning at the slowest speed/single notch, alters the time by 5 seconds (which is the smallest increment on this timer). Faster dial turning, adjusts the timer at greater speeds and even if you overshoot, all you need to do is dial-back and you can set your desired time in a matter of seconds.
Single press of the button (the small dot on the front panel) is all thats required to start or stop the timer.
_______________
The Not-So-Good:
The magnets could have been a bit stronger…. I don’t believe it will ever fall, but in only a few uses, I’ve already managed to twist the whole unit by a few degrees when turning the dial quickly (on two diffferent surfaces – fridge and cooker).
On the rear there is the battery panel and light and sound button options. My unit was extremely tempremental in actually getting it to turn on because one of the battery connectors clearly isn’t making sufficient contact. Had to remove the batteries twice to correct this…. which in itself is a hidden challenge becuase despite having a strip of material to help ease out the batteries, the bottom battery will NOT come out without the help of a thin flat object (i.e. a knife edge)!
In the end, trial and error in turning and poking a particular battery, managed to result in a constant connection to power the unit. But this problem will no doubt resurface again when the batteries die.
Good time
Digital kitchen time is very good. Easy to set up,just need to rotate and fix how many minute you want, max 99min. Have a magnet, I keep mine on the fridge. It’s good to reminding kids to switch off games. Also very useful for kitchen when cooking egg or pasta.
Easy to use
I have always used a wind up kitchen timers but found that they would often not start, even after winding them up to the full 60 minutes. Even when they did work, I would have to wind them up again when cooking a chicken as that would take over an hour. This timer doesn’t have a time limit. It has nice bright display , and is easy to use – just rotate the bezel to the required cooking time.
Just pop in 3 AAA batteries and you ready to go. Overall I am very pleased with my purchase.
Affordable timer!
I use this as a customisable pomodoro timer on my work desk. The interface is as simple as it gets (in a very good way) and the whole thing looks slick and minimal.
Despite a very small criticism of lacking sturdy rubber feets so that you can set the timer with one hand, it still gets five stars as it’s quite affordable compared to the other options. Another thing to note is that it needs three AAA batteries which aren’t included with the product.
Simple to use
The timer is a very useful item in the kitchen or for anywhere else. It is simple to use and has a nice large and clear display and loud beep so can’t miss it! It’s magentic so easy to place somewhere. It can be used both as a countdown clock timer and a stopwatch.
Easy to use kitchen time
Innovative design means that once you twist the outer frame of the device it adjusts the time, then pressing the button at the bottom activates the countdown.
Really handy that it has a magnet which makes it super convenient for me to put onto the side of my fridge. Its strong and I have no concerns about it falling.
When the item isn’t in use, the timer turns off and it remains a sleek, modern product in my kitchen. When the timer goes off, it produces a subtle chime noise to alert you.
Really pleased with the item, please note that it takes 3x AAA which are not provided.
A great parental tool and kitchen aid
We got this timer as a tool to help my son with various routines as he can actively be involved and feel like he has control over things.
For the past two nights, he sets a 5 minute timer to notify him of when it’s time to go up to bed and now, there’s not arguing about going upstairs
We also incorporate the timer into brushing teeth and getting his coat on for school. It’s a great little tool! Highly recommend it. I especially like how tactile the rotary dial feels.
5/5!
Faulty but replaced
Bought this thinking it would be better than the cheap one we already have but other been very unreliable.
It froze and stoped working regularly so you have to remove the batteries to reset it.
the sound has changed so its now super quiet and sort of muffled making it almost impossible to hear unless your stood next to it. This was also remedied by removing the batteries to reset.
The seller sent out a replacement unit and I’m pleased to report that this one has been faultless, the first one must have just been a bad unit.
Easy to use by spinning the outside of it, clear bright face thats adjustable in brightness as well as having volume adjustment as well.
Overall I’m quite pleased with the outcome after having a bad unit replacement!
Works but needs to be heavier or better grippers on bottom
It does what it says it does and is quite a sleek and smooth looking thing but as its made from light plastic when you try and turn the dial which is the body of it the whole thing moves around meaning its tricky to do. It could do with being heavie
I bought this and was really disappointed. I put in brand new batteries but the display did not work (pictures show what should read 00:50 and 00:30.
Sent this back.
**After being refunded the seller contacted me to ask me if I’d give the product a second chance. I agreed as faults happen. The second one is working well – full image shows on display.
Nothing in life is perfect and faults can occur – I am pleased that the replacement is working well. The sound can be muted which is a good option (or set to high or low). It’s a decent timer and I will use it in the kitchen and gym (for circuit training).
Whilst is does what its intended for sort of, the physical build is all plastic. It does not have a metal surround/dial. In fact the plastic dial is rather loose and too easily nudged if touched after setting the timer. Be careful not to drop it as it is not robust enough to withstand any damage to the control ring/dial. Otherwise it functions as stated, though probably over priced given its all plastic construction. Warning it only sets the time with a minimum of 5 second intervals(!) – though it counts up and down in 1 second intervals.
Overall Rating:
7/10
Positives:
– Does the job perfectly fine
– 3 volume settings: Loud, medium, no sound.
– Very aesthetically pleasing; useful as a study tool
– Very simple layout format, and very easy to adjust the time.
Negatives:
– Screen is susceptible to scratches. If you are worried about the aesthetic appearance of the product, handle with care.
Unrelated thoughts:
– Note that you should always use good batteries; I had a bad experience where the screen continually dimmed every time I had the timer on for longer than 20 mins, and this was due to faulty batteries. If you encounter this issue, then switch the batteries.
Would I buy again?
Yes.
It's a bit fiddly
This is easy to use (ish). You have to twist the outer ring to set the time however it does need a gentle touch for accuracy. You can’t set the time with a single turn, you need to twist slowly to set minutes and seconds. Having said that once you get the hang of setting the timer, it is very good. The magnetism enables you to attach it to the oven and it is easy to see the countdown so you can tell how much longer till your cooking is done.
