Domfish Gaming Headset Stereo Noise Reduction,Over-The-Ear

 

I got this headset for my husband as his has failed and he spends a lot of time listening to podcasts and sport on the radio. His PC is exceptionally old (about 8 years) and doesn’t have bluetooth so definitely had to be hardwired in.

The cable for this headset is good and long so doesn’t restrict him to sitting in a weird position for the cable to reach his tower so is much more comfortable for him. There is a separate cable included that you can plug the headset into that allows you to split the headphone and microphone inputs for the headset. Because he doesn’t need to use the microphone he has used this so he can just plug the headset in and use it for his listening pleasure.

Sound reproduction is pretty good. Ideal for more voice based reproduction, where music is concerned it is pretty midrange so does the job but is nothing special. Sorry, we can’t speak to how well the microphone works as he hasn’t used it.

The little control pod on the cable is great for adjusting the volume – especially when I am trying to get his attention and he is listening to something.

For the price point this is a good, basic headset and the LED lights are just a fun little extra that you don’t need to use. The light function does need to be plugged in via USB so you can bypass that simply by not plugging them in.

The husband has a large head and struggles getting headsets that do not squish him. Because the band for across your head is flexible and has a good thick padded strip he does find this comfortable to wear. The ear pieces are well padded and do fit well over the ear so are comfortable to wear for long periods.
