Very happy with this desk riser. I had read the reviews which were generally good but some mentioned it being difficult to lift into the higher setting. Thus was my experience also but I had two heavy screens on it. I took one off and put the laptop on instead. This lifts much more easily. It still takes a little effort so worth watching you back etc.
Everything else is great and has made such a difference being able to shift from sitting to standing work I’m matter of seconds.

Does the job, goes up and down smoothly and is surprisingly sturdy probably due to its considerable weight. The keyboard stand is not curved so I find myself pressing against trying to get closer to the monitor, but that’s a minor issue. Doesn’t pack particularly small if one needs to put it away, and is quite heavy to move around, but despite all that would definitely buy again.

With a slipped disc I couldn’t sit down and ordered this for my home office. Super easy to unbox and set up. Sensible shape and height/s. Stable enough that webcams don’t wobble if you lean on it.
Game changer…. now my backs better I’m sticking with standing up at this desk plus getting one for the office too.

This is excellent- really smooth and easy to move up and down. It’s made a big difference to my work day. the veneer is a little loose round the edges though, so I suspect it may peel and look scrapy quite quickly. But it does exactly what I need it to

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersDefinitely value for money. Was worried, being 6’3″ that it wouldn’t be high enough, but happy to be proved wrong! Very easy to put together and raise/lower. Game changer for me – so much so that others in work are considering one for home as well as the office. Mine did arrive without feet supports on the underside, but this was resolved in rapid time (thanks to Jeff @ the Ergomaker Service Team). I had a response within minutes of sending my query, and resolution within an hour. Great customer service and experience.
    Thanks

Easy to assemble, provides little clips that keep mouse and keyboard wires away from the hydraulics of the standing mechanism! Was a little concerned about the size for the mouse and keyboard for gaming but I am happy!

I did have to cut my desk mat into shape but I decided to do that before it was delivered!

Very happy and should help with knee surgery recovery, being able to stand instead of sit down all day!

The desk arrived with one foot missing. I tried to contact the seller before asking for a refund as the desk is heavy to carry around. They assisted me in no time and got the piece missing in few days. The desk works amazingly I have 2 big monitors on and a laptop. Really happy with the purchase.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI bought this for my desk at my new job. I already had a very expensive scandinavian brand riser, but the two monitors needed for my new work place just didn’t fit on the riser. I chose this as it was about 1/3 the price of my original, and was wide enough, but was very worried by some of the reviews. Basically the thing has performed brilliantly, it is easily strong enough for a laptop, two monitors, mouse, keyboard and phone and is easy to raise and lower (that said I am 6ft tall and reasonably strong). The wood finish blends pretty well with the desk and my colleague who uses the room on days I’m not in has also been able to cohabit with it peaceably. I’ve given it 5 stars all round because, whilst not perfect it is fantastic for the price.

The raising function works really smoothly and doesn’t need much umpf to get up. There is good space underneath to run cables through but my parcel was missing the attachments to secure to the bottom of the desk but no major drama. My only gripe is the keyboard shelf is a little small for a keyboard and mouse but is workable

I like this desk but the hydraulic fluid is leaking out so I don’t think it is going to keep working for long. I had hoped the company might be able to help but can’t see how to contact them.
The company have sent me a new desk to replace the faulty one – terrific service! Thank you!
The desk is very good. It is easy to put up and down. I am very happy with it.

The desk converter works quite well. The only thing i think is a minus is that when you lift the top up, there’s nothing under the pad where you put your keyboard to hold or support. This makes this part very easy to collapse if you lean or put heavy weight on it (e.g. you lean your arms there). Other than that, i am happy with the purchase and it’s 50% cheaper than buying the whole desk, but this still does the job perfectly

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI purchased this as I work from home and was sitting down too much. My physio recommended I purchase one. Easy to assemble and solid. One lever press for easy up and down. If you have a large keyboard, this isn’t for you as keyboard shelf fits normal size so a little squashed. Pity there wasn’t an additional panel for my mouse. Good value for money and I’m really pleased with it overall. Just a few minor changes would have made it perfect.

Good quality, perfect proportions. It is a game changer as I have slipped disc in my back and can’t sit for too long. I am 1.68 cm in heigh and it rises to perfect height. It sits on a standard heigh work desk. The only minor getting used to I had to do is that I found there is not as much space for the mouse beside the standard size keyboard. If you have a lot of notes that you need to position beside you then I suggest you go with a wider option as there isn’t sufficient space on this one. But for my home office which is literally a corner in my living room it is just perfect!

Wasn’t sure what to expect so give this one a try. It’s very sturdy, quick to assemble (took my partner about 10-15 mins to build), the hydraulic mechanism is superb so far. Doesn’t require to use much effort to lift the desk up or push it down. Got back pain and no problem using it at all. Use it with a laptop, small keyboard and mouse, still got the space for writing notes (on the keyboard shelf – although I wouldn’t lean my whole body weigh on it). My partner wanted one for himself after assembling it for me and saw me using it. For that price and home use, I’d definitely recommend it. Hope it’s also durable but time would tell.

This has absolutely changed the way I work from home. I have less back pain and it feels good to stand! I have this on my dining room table. This product is very sturdy and rises up and down easily. Slightly fiddly to attach the keyboard shelf but not difficult. When using it in a sitting position, the keyboard shelf wobbles but I simply put some coasters underneath it to stop that. The only slight downside for me personally is the weight. I read that it weighs 28ibs (yes I knew this before I purchased it), and since I’ll need to move it sometimes, it’s a little heavy to lift on and off the table. I wish there was an easier way to detach the keyboard shelf, other than having to unscrew it. But It’s so sturdy and great to use, I can get past that. I also bought it in cherry, which matches the table. Well worth the money.

Pretty easy to assemble, especially if you ignore the pictorial instructions. Basically you have 4 screws to attach the keyboard rest, and the Allen key that you need comes with the pack.

Not as heavy as I imagined, but the plus point is that it’s easy to lift onto your table. It’s not quite as robust as I’d hoped but the movement of screen when typing is minimal/acceptable.

Not bad for the price, about 1/3 cost of similar items.

Dislikes: Major issue with the lift mechanism. Pings up a treat with nothing on the upper shelf, but I have a heavy all-in-one computer, not a plain monitor. When I lift the release handle the shelf sinks like a stone, and raising it back up is a major problem, doubly awkward because the keyboard support is in a fixed position protruding from the front, and you are stooping over to reach the handle to try to lift the weight, essentially by yourself with little natural uplift. I repositioned my desk to get access from the rear which means at least my back is straighter when I have to lift it. It really needs MUCH more hydraulic pressure if you have an all-in-one computer.

Insufficient room to move the mouse. My natural movement on a desk is far greater than is allowed by the dimensions of the keyboard shelf. I’ve seen worse shelves, but I have yet to see anyone build a system with enough room. It just needs some thought about design. I increased the sensitivity of my mouse as a workaround.

    Miscellaneous:

You get a few cable-tidy gizmos, whether you need them depends on your set up. You also get three matchbox size pads which you are invited to stick onto the keyboard shelf. Took me a while to figure out what these were and what they were meant to do. Basically, in the down position, the shelf rattles all over the place when you type. With the pads attached to the underside of the keyboard shelf, the system is completely stable. (I don’t think the suggested positioning of the pads is optimal, the downward pressure from your hands when typing is at the very front of the shelf. I put all three pads along the underside of the front edge.

I have the keyboard and PC offset a bit to the left of centre of the system, for which there is room to do thankfully, giving more space for mouse movement on the right hand side.

Overall, too many workarounds for this product to be completely acceptable; risk of back injury if you have a heavy all-in-one computer, rather than a monitor, is a major weakness.

Edit: I’m happy to acknowledge that the supplier was good enough to investigate my issue and accept, after their own testing, that my heavy all in one computer could not be lifted. If you have a laptop or monitor this product should be fine. While more uplift would be handy for me, it would then be difficult to lower the shelf for lightweight laptops and monitors which I guess are the majority. I was offered some money back, which is a good compromise and demonstrates good service.
