Data and privacy issues have been mostly sorted
The model I got was eufy Security camera S350
It’s only been a few days but I’m very happy with this I did a lot of research before purchasing this security was around the security and privacy aspect of eufy as a company as well as the quality of the actual camera With that research and the time I’ve had with the camera I can confidently say this is one of the best if not the best cameras you can get for the price range the set up is common sense I’ve had no connection issues and the night vision looks amazing even during the day (I use the camera indoors pointing outdoors)
With privacy the app allows you to stop most data tracking and eufy have fixed issues around this legally
So you can be protected at home but also on your phone/display device.
Great indoor security camera and is compatible with Homebase 3
Received this today and was easy to setup via the app. Just for those who want to know I was able to set this camera up with the Homebase 3, so I’m very happy with that. There was a firmware update waiting for it so I have updated it. Also it does come with a UK/Ireland 3 pin power adaptor.
I got this to pair with my E340 doorbell, but it’s not been the smooth solution I was hoping for, I have the S380 HomeBase and thought all 3 would work well, but it’s far from it, this has the ability to combine the views of both cameras, but what you don’t realise is that they all need to be mains powered to be at it’s best, my doorbell isn’t, and has been a problem since first bought, but they have tried hard to figure it out.
I was sick of missing sections of video where it would only start to record as they are halfway back to their cars, sometimes not catching them at all, so the only way around this is to set it to permanently record, but to do that you need to buy a large SSD for the S380 HomeBase, and that adds a fair expense to it all, it has IR to film at night, but you can’t use that if using it like me having it in a window to cover my car outside, so it’s only good for indoors, first off the IR lights are visible to anyone who looked (probably looks like an alien at night), and IR does not work well through glass (it gets reflected back), so it’s best to keep it off, luckily you can turn off the power in light so it doesn’t shine out to anyone.
I like the 4k image, makes it nice and clear where many are sticking with 2k or similar, I did find it automatically rotating after it captured something very annoying, but I think I have been able to turn that off now (it’s not totally obvious to find), it says it does it to calibrate it’s position for more accuracy in it’s report, but I argued it was calibrated when it was installed, and doesn’t move anywhere, as it’s a fixed field of vision it can have, but the biggest issue is setting it up for what you need, for me it is to protect my car.
As such I have the motion activation and notifications on, and it goes absolutely nuts reporting everything that comes past unless you can tighten up the area where you want the motion to activate, and if you don’t have a lot of options on the camera placement you will find you can’t cover the whole car (unless you have a massive drive), so it’s a trade-off between cover and sanity, and ultimately is why I’ve got a 2TB SSD now to permanently capture the feed in real time, at least that way if I miss an alert where my car gets damaged, at least I will have the full recording of what went on should I ever find it has been damaged, not perfect, but it’s better than nothing, so it’s good, and covers me now I have got an SSD for the HomeBase for 24/7 cover.
Great little security cam with zoom
Very easy to use and install. Good quality images. Good tracking. I have a handful of these monitoring the house when I’m out. They work well and the quality of the images is a lot better than many others I’ve used. The app is quite intuitive as well. The mic is quite sensitive. We had a few false alarms with cuckoo clock chimes. But that’s no reflection on the camera. It rarely picks up a false ‘human’, although I’ve had fountainheads classified as human. But for the most part, the human detection algorithm is surprisingly effective and can identify family and friends.
Pick them up during a sale – they’re a terrific indoor cam.
This is a quality camera especially for the price. I’ve been so impressed. I felt a bit overwhelmed searching for the right camera as I didn’t want one that required a subscription but wanted to be able to review and download the videos. I’ve recently taken on a rescue dog and he has an occasional howl after just being left. The camera alerts me to the sound and I’m able to speak to him through the camera and he settles really well. It’s taken a lot of stress out of him getting used to being left. The picture quality is great too. I bought a memory card to use in the camera – set up was easy and the app is also user friendly.
Absolutely amazing product.
The wide angle lens means you don’t have to be super precise with where you place the camera, as it will catch everything in its view with ease. The zoom lens paired with 4K resolution means I can see every detail of something from across the room; I can even read the temperate on my Google Nest across the other side of the house in the other room, it’s actually amazing.
I’ve got it connected to my 5GHz WiFi network, and albeit my Internet not being “fast” at 4MB/s, there is zero delay in the camera feed streaming to my phone at full 4K resolution.
Coming from an Amazon Blink camera, this has absolutely blown my mind. Even the talk through feature is crispy, super good voice quality with no delay, I can talk to my wife through it whilst in another country, like it’s a normal phone call.
The Ai tracking is almost eerily creepy with how good and accurate it is. Awesome for keeping an eye on my cats when I’m at work.
Genuinely the best camera I’ve use. App is awesome and integrated with the rest of my Eufy Products. Recently bought an E20 RoboVac from Eufy and I can track and control both of these products from the same screen on the app.
10/10 from me, and I’m a picky tech geek.
Alright, so I picked up the Eufy S350 recently, and I have to say—this thing is an absolute gem. I’ve tried a fair few security cameras before, but this one stands out for a few key reasons.
First off, it actually works behind a window, which is a massive win for me. I’ve got streetlights outside, and rather than relying on infrared (which can reflect off glass and mess up night vision), I just use the ambient light to keep an eye on my car. The motion detection is surprisingly smart—it picks up people and vehicles with great accuracy, even at a distance, without needing the IR setting.
What really makes this camera a winner is how customizable the motion detection is. I’ve set it to monitor people coming into my driveway while ignoring passing cars, which means I don’t get flooded with pointless alerts. Plus, it doesn’t get triggered by bushes swaying in the wind, so no more annoying false alarms.
Then there’s the 360-degree rotation—such a simple feature, but it makes a world of difference. At night, I can quickly pan the camera to check on my dog, take a look down the hallway, and then swivel it back to keep an eye on my car. It’s like having a remote-controlled security guard.
Another neat feature is the snooze function. If I need to disable alerts for a short period (say, half an hour or an hour), I can just put the camera to sleep instead of completely turning it off and forgetting to turn it back on—something I’ve been guilty of with other brands.
Honestly, with all these features—and especially with the current discount—the Eufy S350 is an easy five-star buy. It’s reliable, customizable, and well worth the investment.
Good Indoor Security Cam
Good quality indoor security cam made from good materials and is built to last.
Very easy to setup once you have downloaded the Eufy Security app on your mobile device the whole process took about five minutes, the only thing I don’t like is you have to create an account if you don’t you can’t progress BUT this is probably just me.
Video quality is good BUT there are delays if you put the quality on 2K or 4K there is a 1.5 to 2 second delay, if you put it on 720p there is a 1 second delay but weirdly if you put it on 1080p it is a 0.5 to 1 second delay which I can’t work out why I personally would have expected 720p to be the quickest. Also if you have the cam on 3x zoom that adds about an additional 0.5 second delay.
The AI tracking is very good and this has impressed me BUT with this feature on you can only record at 2k maximum which I think lets this Cam down especially if I have set the cam quality to 4k but it’s not a game changer for me but something to keep in mind.
Pan & Tilt controls on the app is very responsive and quick which I like a lot.
You have four options for recording location onto SD card, one the phone if you give the app access, and also cloud storage but as expected this is a monthly subscription one camera is $2.99, any more than that you have to use the next plan which is $9.99 but it covers up to 10 devices. The fourth option is to store to a NAS device vi a RTSP BUT 1080p is the maximum video quality/resolution.
Another feature I like is you can turn off the status LED so people won’t know it is on and recording unless you have AI tracking on and they see it starts turning and following them.
Easy setup, good camera
This was really easy to set up following instructions on the Eufy app. I use it for checking up on my rabbits when at work – it’s easy to turn off alerts from the motion detector and to turn off the alarm too. The night function is great too – not as clear as the daytime quality, but that’s to be expected. There is maybe 2 seconds lag between an event happening and you seeing it on film – but that’s pretty good in my opinion and it’s fine by me. I like that I don’t need to subscribe to anything, I can choose to begin recording something on my phone. I’ve been using it with no storage at the moment because I’m not using it for security, but I’ll be getting an SD card at some point too.
I’ve ordered a couple more Eufy cameras now while they’re still on sale because I’m really happy with this one.
(For anyone worried about the small rabbit pens – they’ll have the whole room once they’re bonded, and they take turns to run round the house when I’m home )
High resolution video and easy setup
Firstly, I have used this to watch both my house and my dog whilst at work and it does a good job. The camera comes well packaged and setting it up was easy with the app. With the app I can pan the camera to check all over my room and it can also tilt to look upward or downard making is able to see an entire room with ease. The video feed has a high resolution and it has very good night vision. All in all this indoor camera works very well for me and I have had no issues with it.
Works Well, Easy to Install and Use.
The eufy S350 Dual Cameras 4K UHD Indoor Security Camera is an impressive piece of kit. It is well made and appears very robust. It can used as a freestanding unit or wall mounted using the supplied bracket.
The operating App is easy to install on mobiles and other devices and is fairly intuitive to use. Picture quality is excellent and two way audio is clear. Wide angle and telephoto lenses in conjunction with pan and tilt and AI tracking capabilities make it an ideal baby and toddler monitor. Built in infrared LED lights give excellent night vision capabilities, making it suitable for monitoring a sleeping child.
Although the camera has a programable privacy mode, there is no physical shutter to cover the lenses when not in use. There is also no physical switch on the camera, turning the camera off is achieved by unplugging it from the mains supply. These omissions might be an issue for users concerned about privacy invasion.
Overall, we are impressed with the eufy S350 Dual Cameras 4K UHD Indoor Security Camera. It is ideal for our use as an occasional cot monitor when our grandson stays with us. When not in use it is unplugged. We have found that, when first switched on, there is sometimes a short lag in the transmission which requires a bit of adjustment in the App settings. Otherwise no problems.
At its current price of 129.99, the eufy S350 Dual Cameras 4K UHD Indoor Security Camera is competitively priced with comparable products.
Would recommend.
Budget camera.
It’s a little cute camera that you can have if you are looking for something on a budget.
Comes well-packed and with easy-to-follow instructions, I took less than 30 minutes to set this up.
It connected easily to my phone and the image of it it’s not bad, considering its size.
It worked fine, and it goes around every corner .
Great quality images, so easy to setup
I have a few security cameras dotted around the house….
This one was so easy to setup… once attached to my wifi and the app was installed it was good to go.
This is a nice camera with great quality images… it has full round panning with tilt and a really good zoom function…. some of my lesser quality cameras get very difficult to make out features when zooming but not this one.
It is a bit more expensive than some of my other cameras (approx twice as much) but i can see why…. the overall quality and functions are obvious when compared.
this is an easy definite recommended buy
+++AAA
This is another great innovation from Eufy, but the operation is a bit glitchy. Mostly if works fine, but use of the telephoto lens frequently causes the picture to freeze. Viewing on my tablet, which is running Android 13, is slightly better, but still trublsome with this cam. My older E220 indoor cams and my E221 Floodlight cam all integrate seamlessly with my phone and and tablet, but there’s software work still needed with this one I think.
Generally good - just could do more on privacy
I have owned previous eufy camera products but never something for inside the house so when this one came around I thought I would check it out.
Set up is pretty simple, like many similar products you download the app, register and then connect the camera to the wifi. You can also link it in with many big name smart home systems like Amazon Alexa if you want.
The camera itself is reasonably well built and doesn’t take up too much space. This is very much set up to be an indoor camera, so my only criticism is unlike others I’ve tried there is no option for a physical shutter for privacy – something that I have appreciated elsewhere. Despite this the camera quality is good, the response time is reasonable and the ability to control and zoom is definitely welcome.
Overall then if you get the placement right this is a pretty good camera.
If you’re not familiar with the Eufy brand, get ready for a surprise. It’s a relatively affordable , feature laden and high quality electronic manufacturer, which is a subsidiary of Anker – who produce some of the best charging cables and power banks.
This wireless camera can be used standalone or within a system of similar cameras from the eufy range, as well as integrated with alarm systems and doorbells.
The app is relatively straight forward, and you can set things up like geofencing (turning on the notification features by your own location automatically I.e. home/away), and setting up your own schedules on a timer (I.e. if you work 9-5, you can set the system up to record any movement between these times and for it to alert you that something wrong – with a quick snapshot in your notifications) relatively easily.
You can have continuous recording, however the amount of footage you can keep will obviously depend on the size of the micro SD card you put into the camera (which has to be bought separately). Also as a side note, in order to insert the MicroSD card into the camera, you need to push the lens area up to the ceiling and a small slot will appear that you can slide the MicroSD card into. I’ve got it so that the camera will only record if it picks up movement in a certain location – although if I just want to ‘check in’ I can view a live view at any time. I’ve added a screenshot of the continuous recording timings dependingkk no on the MicroSD card used, direct from the app.
After you play around with the app for a little while, you will get used to the controls for the tilt and pan etc – the motion is really smooth, and also – very very quiet! There is a speaker on the camera, so you can speak through the app with your voice coming out of the camera, which is obviously handy as a deterrent, and you can also set it up so if it senses movement an alarm will sound.
Granted this alarm isn’t too loud, but it can serve as a slight shock and if you’ve got someone doing something they shouldn’t, it may deter them. Through the app as well, you can manually trigger this alarm sound.
Picture quality is very clear, both in normal mode and night vision mode – I don’t really have anything bad to say about the picture quality for a camera that cost roughly 40.
The camera only needs to be connected to a plug point for it to be ready to work and will connect Via your wifi – long gone are the days of wired CCTV systems with hundred of feet of wire for the power and the signal.
What slightly let’s this down is it’s motion detection and tracking system. Let’s start with the first, as I have it setup to record if motion is detected – it may be a second or so after said motion is detected that the camera starts to record – sometimes, this is not good – and examples I’ve seen from other reviews such as someone throwing something at window and smashing it, means that as it happened so quickly the camera failed to pick it up.
The motion tracking is a useful feature, as it will keep a person in the middle of the shot, but can than can be a bit jerky, and the added movement sometimes doesn’t allow the camera to focus on the persons face – I used to have it turned on, but due to these reasons I’ve turned it off to just record a single area.
Overall, I’ve had this camera roughly 8 months, and it works well and for its intended purpose. For the price I paid (roughly 40) you won’t get a better security camera. The app is relatively intuitive and works well, the notifications work great to let you know something has been spotted – I can see myself getting a few more cameras (maybe some of the bigger outdoor ones) and adding to this system.
