Everything fit properly. All the stuff that came with it was correct. Had no problems. Assembling it all in all good product. I recommend it for those who want to change the shell.

The perfect replacement to my old shell on my gameboy. It was easy to replace, clean installation, and came with sticky tape to put in the new screen that came in the package. It comes with new screws and the tools which was convenient. Super happy with the product and I will be purchasing from this company again.

Tolles Gameboy Case
Gute Verarbeitung und tolle Farbe. Leider ist die Farbe nur auf einer Seite und man sieht in den Ritzen leider noch etwas Weiss. Auch wusste ich nicht, dass es diesen Softtouch hat. Das ist aktuell angenehm, aber in ein paar Jahren wird es wohl leider wie alle Soft-Touch Materialien klebrig und muss ersetzt werden.
Super coque, tournevis pas top
Trs belle coque, de bonne qualit, par contre les tournevis inclus ne sont pas top (oblig d’en acheter des nouveaux…) ainsi que les boutons select et start qui sont rests enfoncs lors de mon 1er montage. J ai rutilis ceux de l ancienne coque.
Mais globalement je suis satisfait de mon achat et part le souci avec les tournevis, le dmontage et montage de la GB est trs simple avec la vido.
This shell is awesome! I decided to mix and match button colors and ended up keeping the original select/start buttons for the rubbery feel. I used the HISPEEDIDO IPS Q5 OSD V4 screen mod. The only issue is the A button gets stuck if it press the bottom left corner of it and that happens to be when I naturally press it. I haven’t even opened it to address this issue because I’m having too much fun playing it right now and I plan to get a few more of the eXtremeRate Shells and I’ll take a look then. As you may notice from the picture, I forgot to cut the shell for the text lighting too. They could add perforation for that I’d like to see more classic looking metallics available too. Gold specifically.
Conclusion – Great Purchase!
Edit – A button sticking solved. The new buttons have kind of a rough finish for grip. Very fine, almost rubbery. Not sure why the A button had a tendency to stick there and not anywhere else. Sanding/polishing the button sides fixed it. I used a new exacto to CAREFULLY scrape the sides, removing only a fine powder. It was almost nothing. It won’t now stick even if I try.

This shell is well made. I was worried there might be few spots that were a bit wonky or miss aligned like some I’ve bought before on other sites/sellers, but no. I had to do some trimming to install a Q5 IPS LCD that I bought. It has the screen and the outer screen already together. Having to do so was expected as the listing was Cleary for a different version.
I like the feel of the plastic. Whatever the coating is, it’s not so smooth and glossy that it slips out of my hand when picking it up. That’s totally a me issue, I’m sure, but whatever makes this shell feel how it does, I definitely approve.
It came with the appropriate stickers for the back, but as I plan to get a red back and a black battery cover, I haven’t put the stickers on.
Definitely worth getting.
Great Shell overall, small nitpicky bits
The shell is overall great, took me lass than a half hour easily to take apart my old shell and put this together.
Not sure if it’s the membranes included, but the button actuations don’t feel terribly great and feel like the travel distance for button presses are longer than OEM parts.
Also, on the top side of the shell, both pieces don’t sit flush and are a little loose which means the IR shield can move around a bit. If I don’t think about it, it’s not noticeable and YMMV at the end of it all.
Overall though, the shell looks amazing in person and I can’t wait to install an IPS display.
