Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersThe best produc
I was very scared to use any other products to bleach my hair but with this product I managed to go from dark brown to very light blonde PS: I’m not a hairdresser or hairstylist this mean anybody can do it just read the instructions.

Don’t normally do reviews but so impressed with this product.
Most colours I buy just don’t cover my grey properly.
This has brilliantly and smells lovely.
Really easy to use as I have bad arthritis in my hands and have struggled opening other ones.
My new hair colour. Great value to

    Beautiful vibrant colou
I had bleached my hair from a dark red colour, and it lightened to an orange colour with the light roots so not wanting to cause irreversible damage by bleaching again I decided to stay copper for a while before bleaching again.
This intense copper 7.4 was perfect for evening out the mismatch of colours on my head and I wasn’t expecting the highlights that came through- I didn’t have highlights before.
It’s left my hair really soft and shiny and a very vibrant copper colour- it is quite a wet hair dye so a bit drippy but it’s worth it.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersAmazing Olia Highlights Ki
I am so pleased with this kit. It doesn’t smell harsh and allowed me to achieve salon comparable highlights. My hair has been ombr with highlights for a while but cost has meant I need to take a break from salon colouring. I used this kit to do a half head of highlights, separated and fouled at home and I am so impressed with the results. Brighter and natural highlights without the harsh feel. I will be buying again and asking a friend to do the part underneath at the back I can’t reach as the results are fab. Highly recommend, just be patient when applying. I left it in for 45 minutes and it gave lovely results.

Amazing! - and used on previously bleached hair !
Well! I’m utterly surprised and sooo happy with my outcome, this review is for anybody who wants to use this and DOES have previously bleached hair! I know it says ” not recommended on grey or bleached hair” but I just said stuff it and slapped it on and it’s turned out better than I expected! Got rid of all that yucky yellow tone! And the colour match with my extensions is just on point! I went to pick my kids up from school and all the other moms were complimenting my hair and asking if I just had it done and couldn’t believe I had extensions in as the colour match was that good! I haven’t washed it yet so I don’t know how well it’ll stay but I’ll 1000% be coming back to this produc

    Gorgeous black ambe
This colour is beautiful, it is like a rich Dark chocolate but not black which is good as it leaves a natural looking colour and doesnt make your skin look pale. Excellent coverage for gray bits and leaves a brilliant shine. Putting the dye together was a tad fiddly but worth it all the same. I normally use Garnier nutrisse hair dye in darkest brown as it is a few pounds cheaper but this is so much better.

    No allergic reactio
Bought this as read others didn’t have an allergic reaction. A few years ago had a serve allergy to hair dye blisters all over scalp, eyes swollen. Tried other hair dyes with no phd or ammonia and had slight reaction to them. After letting my grey come through but looked like a skunt lol with my grey on top and black hair at bottom I decided to take a cherub this hair dye. Done patch test all ok. Put this dye on and omg I’m so happy NO REACTION at all covered my grey but I only bought a light brown so it’s has tinted my grey but no I know this hair dye is good I’ll buy a darker brown to cover greys properly.

    My Go-to brown!
I love this brown! It goes on dark and lightens up after a few washes so don’t be too alarmed if you wanted chocolate brown and ended up with dark black/brown. It’s left my hair looking shiny and natural. Love this hair colour brand!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersColour perfect, hair feels like straw!
I don’t often leave reviews but wanted to share my mixed feelings about this product. I had bleached my very dark, parlty grey hair recently and the dark bits, as expected, were left orange whilst they grey bits were almost white blonde. I first used a Knight & Wilson colour toner to reduce the orange and it did work, although not as much as I wanted. I could have repeated treatment, especially given how richly conditioning it was, but the smell was off-putting. Very highly and unpleasantly fragranced. So after lots of searching decided to decide the Olia very light blonde given its claims of leaving hair beautifully soft and conditioned. Just what we all want, right? Unfortunately, the colour is perfect so my hair colour is now more evenly balanced, but it feels like straw! Shame that it works well in respect of colour but not in terms of conditioning. Luckily my hair responds well to organic coconut oil, which I just rub through and leave in. I buy it from any supermarket as a food product which is cheaper.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersGood strength with decent grey coverage
I used to be this dark naturally but someone up there in the planning department decided to have a laugh and start sending me grey in my early twenties, so I’ve had to use dye to keep it up since. (I’ll give up one day, but today is not that day!)

Now, in my mid-thirties I find a lot of permanent dyes don’t take as well to my roots, which just looks rubbish and is super annoying. Even in salons. This, however, takes beautifully! It covers all greys and doesn’t leave that strip of slightly lighter coverage on the roots.

I would highly recommend to anyone who likes a rich glossy natural looking dark brown, especially if, like me, you have issues with coverage.

Good value for money, but colour is not true
I used this as a highlight dye. It works well. Smells nice, is easy to use with good instructions. The conditioner lasts a long time and is really nice to use. But… the colour isn’t true to the guide. Mine didn’t go a golden brown, more of a coppery red. Which is fine as I naturally have this tone anyway, but it wasn’t what I was expecting. I would buy this brand again.

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersDeep rose. Major regret!
The guide colours on the box are way off! The hair dye is bright fuscia when it develops, I thought it would wash out and look paler but it didn’t! I didn’t take a before picture but it was light brown hair with blonde highlights. I’m now half ginger half fuscia- somehow the blonde bits are darker than my routes now. It’s also left my hair feeling really heavy and greasy, I’ve scrubbed it with shampoo about 4 times but it looks like I haven’t washed it on a week, I’m absolutely devastated! I would rather be bald! EDIT- Several washes later I actually LOVE the result, it’s faded into the prettiest shade of pink and no longer feels like there’s build up- I actually would use it again! Editing from 1 star to 4 because it was a rollercoaster!

Golden Review Award: 13 From Our UsersSoft Black 3.0 - Natural look for Asian hair....but has a brassy orange undertone
Been looking for a natural almost black shade for my (East) Asian hair which is going salt n pepper. First time using an oil based dye, and it was very easy with no pungent chemical smell or stinging – which happened when I used Garnier Nutrisse (wrong shade for me). The conditioner is gorgeous, leaving my hair soft and silky, I would actually buy this seperately if they sold it!

I followed the instructions, applying it in layered sections with a brush and gloved hands. Left it on for 30 mins after finishing application, but unfortunately it didn’t cover all my greys. I think I may have to leave it on for longer as I suspect my hair is very dye resistant. (I’ve read somewhere this can be the case with thick Asian hair).

After about two washes to get the dye out of my scalp, the finished shade is lovely in daylight, looks very natural. But, in artificial light theres a very obvious orange undertone which is quite brassy and bright. Although my natural hair does have an orange undertone, it’s towards the neutral subtle side. So just be aware the shade might look different in different light conditions.

I’ll definitely purchase again and see if I can cover those greys properly next time!

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersIt's a great product but two boxes required, end shade not as good as expected.
I like the product, it was easy to apply. I’m out of practice with hair dyes, having not used a home kit for quite a while, so I was quite impressed that I didn’t drip dye everywhere when I applied it. Also, it was fabulous not to have the eye watering ammonia on my head for half an hour. Plus, there was very little skin staining (although I did apply Vaseline to the hot spots on my ears and forehead/hairline.

Less positive was that I wasn’t aware that I would need two boxes for my mid length and average thickness hair on the first application The results were really patchy along the lengths of my hair with some areas where I’d clearly not applied enough. I had to buy a second box and reapply it. I’d like to think that now I have the “base colour”, I wouldn’t need to top up my colour with two packs in future, but I don’t know about that one until I try it.

Also, the resultant colour is a very reddish shade of purple and really quite dark on my mid brown hair. It’s taken the shade of my hair to a much darker brown and the purple is not overly noticeable without having full light on it. It kind of just looks a very, very dark brown in dark lighting. I think I expected something a little more vivid on my hair based on the box images. It’s a nice colour, don’t get me wrong, but it’s not very close to expectations and darker than I wanted.

I might or might not choose this shade again, but I think the product itself is very good. I really don’t know why manufacturers can’t make our lives easier and produce a larger product size for first time applications or longer, thicker hair, instead of us needing to buy two boxes to get the results!

Anyway, I’ve bought a different brand with a different purple to try once this colour fades; I don’t doubt I’ll be less impressed with the ammonia though!

Golden Review Award: 18 From Our UsersFun experimenting in lockdown!
This was the first time I dyed my hair and I made the brave decision to do it myself (as I was bored during Lockdown).

It was really simple, easy to mix and apply on the hair. It comes with the instructions and you can just follow that.

I actually wanted a subtle balayage finish and therefore didn’t use the bottle provided. I instead had a mixing bowl and a brush and cut up some foil to replicate what they do at salons. There’s a lot of YouTube videos that you can find that do just that. I watched a lot of different ones, and for my hair type before doing it myself. I definitely recommend checking them out if your not experienced in dying your hair.

As for the result, I was quite happy. Firstly because I have very dark brown hair (almost looks black), it’s the darkest shade you can have, so I knew seeing any colour without bleach/lightning would be close to impossible. I therefore just wanted to experiment with a colour that was very bright and just on the ends of my hair. (So if it did look awful I could just chop the ends off).

The first time I attempted it, the colour came out brown, and looked lighter in some shades of light but it was difficult to catch on camera. Sometimes there was shades of red and purple. It basically changed everyday, getting lighter.

I wanted to see more result and therefore bought another box, and repeated the process. This time the result was noticeable in any light. I achieved a brown/ginger red tone to my ends. I was happy with this, the technique I used also made sure it was a gradual blend upwards so it didn’t look bad.

I also have curly/wavy, hair so it’s easier to cover up mistakes then on straight hair.

My hair is thick so I needed more product and bought more boxes. I used three in total, two in on go and one just by itself.

The second time I left it longer than recommended and that worked on my hair a lot better.

I think it’s best to just rinse and dry one piece of hair and see if the colours shows as you want it, if not then leave it for longer.

I also wanted to really experiment with this colour and see what it would look like on my roots (I definitely don’t recommend anyone to try this), but I ended up with hot roots. (It’s not the fault of the product, but just something I wanted to try to see how the colour would look on me if I had lighter hair).

I’ve bought this brought in 5.3 in golden brown too, to complete the balayage look. (It was the same price at Tesco).

In all I’m very happy with the product and the experimenting was fun.

    Pros:
    – No smell of dye
    – Easy application
    – Quick results
    – Lots of colours to pick from
    – Good price
    – Decent size (unless u have long thick hair, you’ll need more).
    – Long lasting colour

    Cons:
    – My hair became very dry gradually. You have to keep on top of conditioning your hair and use hair serums and oils to keep the smoothness. I have frizzy hair and I needed to do more caring for my hair afterwards. Although the immediate result will give you very smooth shiny hair, after 5-6 washes it became dry. There is however enough conditioner to last you a while. Just don’t forget to use it.
    – ALERT: Does not cover greys ! (I have a couple greys it did not cover them, it did however colour my brown hair).
