This seems like a good quality bag. Mine was not damaged by vacuum packing and smelled nice (a hint of leather). It has plenty room for all the essentials that a light traveller, like me, would need. I will try to post an update after using it.

Really nice backpack. Sturdy enough, not ugly. The space inside is a bit smaller than I expected, but there are a lot of smaller compartments that help you keep everything organised so that’s good.

A bit expensive but the quality makes up for it. It feels like it’s going to last for a very long time. I haven’t fully tested the waterproof feature yet, as it only drizzled recently in my area, but it held up the damp weather quite well.

It also survived a couple of plane trips without a scratch. Would definitely recommend it and buy again if I ever need another one.

A spacious backpack with lots of pockets and slots / bands inside. The powerpack storage with external USB socket is a nice touch as it means that all you need to do is to connect the USB cable from a device direct to the socket whenever you want power, rather than having to carry or put the powerpack in a jacket pocket or whatever.

The backpack has a decent padded (and what looks like waterproof) inner lining, The straps and handle seem tough enough for normal wear and tear.

Overall, the backpack looks and feels OK and should stand the test of time.

One point against, is the packaging of the backpack. The backpack arrived shrink(?) wrapped in polythene and had been badly bent (see photo). As this was the original wrapping, I presume that this was done at the factory. This took a long while to finally (almost) straighten out.

4.0 out of 5 stars Spacious, good quality. Poor original packaging

This is a useful laptop backpack. In the main compartment, here are a number of pockets to put all manner of electronic devices and power cables, notebooks and pads. There are zipped pockets too. I was quite impressed with the number of little pockets. The shape does lend itself to the storage of flat items such as laptops, iPads, books etc., but there’s no reason you couldn’t throw some toiletries and a set of clothes in and use as hand luggage. I actually like the slim shape – laptop backpacks I’ve had in the past have been quite bulky, so having one that hugs your back helps to maintain balance.

Construction of the bag seems very good. The fabric is supposed to be tear resistant and water resistant. Please note, the latter does not indicate it’s waterproof, only that it can resist a bit of water splash. The padding in the bag seems adequate – they could have perhaps bumped up the padding on the shoulder straps, as when I loaded up the bag it did get quite heavy and my shoulders did feel the weight of it, to the point it got almost uncomfortable after a while.

I don’t like the logo – I’m just not keen on branding in general, but there’s only one instance of it and I might look to sew something over it.

I thought 26.99 was a high price, but I compared to similar bags on Amazon and its actually on the money.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice, compact laptop bag

Great size backpack with plenty of storage, I’ve been using this to carry my chromebook around and got to say, I’m impressed. This gives plenty of protection to your device and has plenty of space to carry all your accessories as well.

It’s bigger than a standard bag but not so big as to be cumbersome. The only negative is the thickness of the straps, due to its size, you’ll be carrying a bit of weight in this and the straps are not very thick, would be nice if they were a bit more padded. Apart from that, I cannot find fault with this bag, worth the money

I chose this bag for travelling out and about with my laptop, iPad, and MIDI keyboard, and field recording equipment, along with backup batteries, cables, and headphones.

Whilst it’s big enough in capacity for all of this and more, what it lacks is sufficient pockets and places to tuck things away, hence the four stars.

It’s still a great bag, and would certainly make a good school and college bag too, but again, a better selection of pockets and access points to the storage spaces would certainly increase its usefulness and value. It would be worth paying more for if this was addressed.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersPlenty of pockets to put things away and decent net pockets to keep smaller stuff from getting lost in the bigger pockets.

HOMIEE Business Smart Backpack, Waterproof 15.6 inch Laptop Backpack with USB Charging

Arrived in single plastic bag and no other paperwork…. you are off to explore the various pockets and zips in whatever order you want.

There are plenty of pockets and the smaller one at the front top is deceptive as its actually full length of the front section so can take a 2ltr bottle inside if you desire to put one in. This section also has a keyring and holder that has a plastic toggle to clip and unclip the keyring off. Handy for holding keys instead of in your trouser pockets.

The powerbank plug and socket is good and very handy if wanting to charge a phone without resorting to carrying the powerbank yourself… or on a train to let someone else get a charge….. this actually helped a colleague out without me having to open the rucksack up. The inside pocket for holding the powerbank copes with a variety of slim or thicker powerbanks with ease and no issues with the USB A on the inside and also the USB A on the outside when connecting both the powerbank or iphone or android phones. This might need to be noted that future proofing may require a dongle to convert the USB A to C as a few devices look for a USB C connection….but for a year or so this would not be needed.

The waterproof pocket is good….but as the picture shows…. its a Tea Towel that is placed inside this. I struggled to get a decent towel in there that I had to resort to 2 hand towels to use when out one night. Its mentioned about toiletries but later in the photoadvert, towel is mentioned…. you need to be a small towel user or the microfibre towel versions.
Also the 180 degrees is not really 180 degrees as even the advert photo shows the front pocket standing up when opened fully and if the front pocket has items in the long section, it fails to fold over itself. Not show stoppers but not quite there to say they actually do what they say they would do

Not had any zip fatigue or failure or lost tooth so all working after 2 weeks of use.

I did unfortunately come across a person of slightly older age that shouted “yo homie smell ya later”… and yes, the logo is very visible and provided a few chuckles if you know of the show.

Overall a competent and workable office bag ….that sort of works for carrying change of clothestoiletry as long as you have small towels.

4.0 out of 5 stars Would cope with day working (including 30 min walk) or as a weekend travel bag

I have had this pack for about two weeks now, and have been using it day in day out. At first I wasn’t convinced (the look is very ‘backpackey’, dark grey waterproof style fabric with a daft HOMIEE logo), as I normally go more for canvas and leather ones.

But the cool features have won me over, it’s a backpack perfect for city living, as not only its multiple pockets (the list is too long to go through all, but just let’s say, they all have a reason to be there, and are all well made for it) but its build wooed me.

It’s sturdy, good zips and seams, the back padding is spot on (not only keeps you from getting too hot, protects your back -as well as the laptop inside- AND manages to hide a little hidden pocket too), the straps are comfy and easily adjusted, but as well, has the best waterproof credentials I’ve seen outside of proper military kit. The outer fabric shrugs water off, but as well all the external pockets are built out of water-resistant fabric, so you don’t have to worry that the kit left in them will get soaked.

As I’ve said, it has LOADS of really smartly designed features, like the multitude of small inner pockets anc clips for pens, keys, etc, but as well, the usb C port on the outside (well protected and facing down for rain) that leads into the inside, with a cable long enough to reach the pocket made for a power pack. And an outer water bottle pouch, but not the usual one that flaps and catches in things when empty, as it then zips close to the bag.

These are the kind of features that make a big difference when on the go in town, and I know I was able to carry a lot of things in there (big laptop and accessories, including power pack and mouse), gym kit and a change of clothes, varied work gizmos, the aforementioned power bank, etc, without feeling like I’m a mule and I have to plan my turns very careful lest the momentum carries me.

In short, a well thought-out backpack that will serve you faithfully for quite a while

Good quality backpack. I have tesetd intensively with my laptop and accessories and it is big enough to contain a lot of more stuff as well. It is made by a resistent synthetic tear Oxford fabric-material which is also water resistant! Its size ( 45x35x15 cm) is perfect for common cabin bag allowed by flights, and multi compartiments are really useful. As you can see from my pictures you have an embarassing wealth of options to put your staff into it. The shoulder straps are soft and robust and grants the right confort whent travelling. Happy with it.

This expandable back pack has sooo many compartments, you cant help but be organised. 3 main compartments hold your laptop, clothes and wet clothes. Then you have zipper pockets, elastic top pockets, velcro strap pockets and pockets. There is a dedicated pocket for a power bank (NOT supplied) which when connected inside the backpack gives you an easily accessed external USB port to charge your phone etc. Adjustable straps on the side of case are an extra security measure, only to help keep the case closed should a zipper be opened. The shoulder straps are adjustable, padded and breathable with an adjustable chest strap. There is also a fixed strap on the back which can be used to hold the backpack on to a suitcase handle. The case also has two carry handles one on the top and one on the side. I cannot see any way to fit a padlock to secure the bag, so hand luggage only when flying. About the only thing thats missing is a retractable handle and wheels !!!

I’m not sure why the description for this backpack calls it leather. It’s not leather, nor is it anything like leather! It’s some sort of heavy artificial fabric. Nor is there any reason I could see that makes it specifically a man’s backpack, so I’m not sure why that’s claimed for it either.
That apart, the description is accurate. The waterproof compartment is lined with thick plastic like that of a shower curtain, so I’m happy to believe it’s waterproof although I haven’t tested that. The lining of that bit pulls right out, so would be easy to clean if necessary. All the pockets and compartments are as described, the stitching and zips seem to be OK, and the padding against the back and on the shoulder straps is good. It’s smart -looking and businesslike.
Now, usability: First thing I did was check whether my keyboard would fit, as this is a problem I’ve had with other computer bags. My keyboard is a Logitech, 440mm wide and yes, it does (just!) fit into the bag with the zip done up so I’m very happy! Plenty of spaces for all the bits one might need to carry including clothes for a (short) stay away. The concealed pocket in the back is a useful touch, as is the charger, but I’ve yet to work out how that works. There’s a usb lead inside, so presumably you have to use your own power pack – I’ll update when I’ve got that figured out, but don’t assume there’s a built-in power pack. I shall probably unpick the brand label as it’s already caused one predictable ‘Yo! Homey!’
I’ve docked a star for some of the slightly misleading elements of the item listing, but despite that I am pleased with this backpack and will find it useful, and it’s reasonably priced for what it is.

This laptop bag is a good size and suitable for larger laptops. The pockets are all quite big and all of them are functional unlike some bags I’ve tried that have useless pockets everywhere. Side pockets for water bottles are a good size too and my 0.5l flask fits snuggly in them. Straps are a bit cheap, for the price I’d have expected more robust straps. I also don’t like the branding with a power button used for the “O” in “HOMIEE.” Screams techie and could draw attention to the high value, electronic items that may be inside. Will be put to good use however.

The first thing that struck me was the material, it’s nice and thick, offering good protection for your laptop.
Your device would be quite safe from knocks in this bag for sure.
I like that it’s not too big, I ride a motorcycle and prefer backpacks not to be bulky and this fits the bill.
There are a few pockets for your bits and bobs, so they stay secure.
The build quality is pretty much as you’d expect, the zips action is smooth on all of the pouches and the main area.
Ideal for school/college/commuting, but not for weekends away as limited room for clothing, which in fairness is not what it is designed for.
This will get plenty of use.

This is a good quality backpack which will be useful for travel and for taking to work. I won’t repeat the features that are all listed in the description anyway but it is as described.

You get 2 side pockets, useful for water bottle on one side and umbrella on the other. The bag seems to be of good quality, I have had no issues with the zips or stitching. There are plenty of pockets and compartments without there being too many and adding extra weight for no reason.

The only bit I would like to see improved are the shoulder straps, the padding could be a bit thicker. They aren’t wafer thin, but the carrying handle on the top is thicker than the shoulder straps and I would prefer a bit more padding on them for when carrying a lot of weight.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice little backpack

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersMy work laptop fits in this bag quite nicely and securely. The laptop is a chunk so i was glad of having the straps to carry it on my back. There is a decent amount of space for the charger and stationary but perhaps not as much as the description shows. I think you would struggle to fit an ironed shirt in there!. The charging hole is a useful feature if using the bag to commute and you need to plug into a charging bank. The bag is a nice stylish design and fairly well made. The lining is a bit thin so not sure how durable that would be long term. On the whole a decent bag for business or leisure.
