    Pratico e preciso

    Brilliant product for reasonable price
The product takes only 2 hours to charge and then you get 3-4 days worth of use!
The set up is incredibly straight forward and I linked it to the BBQ app they tell you to download so I was able to sit in the lounge while the BBQ did its thing.
Excellent product for the price. Plus most of the BBQ websites and Youtube videos I watched were using this exact product which I think speaks for itself.

    A Prime Day bargai
I bought this on Prime day with a 20 discount to go with my newly delivered bullet smoker based on some good (non-Amazon) online reviews. The first time using it we had an unexpected thunderstorm and the smoker and thermometer were drenched in rain for an hour. The thermometer continued to read throughout and on through to the following morning when I switched it off.
I can’t comment on how accurate the temp readings were, but they were significantly higher than the smoker’s built in thermometer and the ribs were ready an hour before expected, so I suspect the Inkbird was closer to the correct temp.

Havent had an opportunity to try this on my barbecue yet but did use it on the Sunday Roast. It took an extra 15 minutes over Delia’s suggestion and we got a perfect result rather than a Family argument.

If only it was WiFi, not just Bluetooth. Then I could monitor my food from the pub instead of having to stay at home. Apart from that, it’s a great piece of kit and I love the idea of being able to monitor the cooking environment, be it a BBQ or oven as well as the temperature of whatever I’m cooking.

    For:
    Multiple probes
    Good temperature accuracy
    Long, well-shielded cables

    Against:
Nothing really, although Wifi would be nice.

    Accurate temperatures, poor range
Temperatures are accurate, four sensors is great for multiple types of meet and grill temperature. The only downside is that it seems to need recharging quite a lot and it relies on Bluetooth for app connectivity so it loses connection when you’re upstairs and on the opposite side of the house from the garden. Good for the price though.

Great piece of kit. Allows me to get on with my day while smoking. Setting temperature ranges for the ambient temperature and also 3 pieces of meat on the smoker. Definitely take the stress away of constantly checking the WSM dial ambient temperature. App seems to work fine with no issues or drop outs unless i’m too far out of range but the unit itself will sound an alarm also.
Great piece of kit so far.

Simple, easy to use and a complete life-saver when grilling / smoking large cuts of mea
A great little piece of kit that’s saved my culinary life on multiple occasions when braaing (I’m married to a South African, I get hit by lightning if I say “BBQ” or use anything other than charcoal).

Really easy to use, with 3 internal probes and one ambient temp probe. The app is intuitive, providing real time updates from all active probes to your phone via Bluetooth. You can easily and quickly set timers and alarms (both min and max temps) for all active probes, and there are handy template alarms available that have preset temps and temp ranges for things like pulled pork or beef brisket.

As you can’t fully rely on the built-in grill thermometer for anything requiring time, it’s absolutely critical you have a way of reliably measuring and alerting on both meat and grill temperatures – and this gizmo does this perfectly at a fraction of the price of many other remote thermometer options.

It works and makes a great difference
It works really well on the barbecued meat.

It makes a massive difference when you get the meat just at the right temperature rather than overdoing it.

It’s so good that I have even used it to test the temperature of the water in the dishwasher when it wasn’t working as I thought it should. Also used it for the oven and again the meat is much more succulent when you just cook it to the right temperature. Really recommend this

    Looks like a customer return!
This is a great item, with my only reservation being that the one I received had been opened, the warranty card was missing and the probes were loose, not wrapped in individual plastic bags. This strongly suggests that it was a customer return. While I wouldn’t want Amazon or the seller to start scrapping returned products, I do think that it should be stated when they sell returned goods as brand new.

I bought this to use on a Weber gas grill, as I didn’t want to pay the price for the igrill which is considerably more expensive. I used this to cook a large Turkey on Christmas Day on the gas barbecue. The app was easy to download, set up and use. The controls are fairly intuitive and simple. I used 1 probe in each breast, 1 in the thigh and 1 as a pit probe to show the temperature of the barbecue. Later I used it to cook a large stand pie in the oven. Both the turkey and pie were cooked perfectly.

    Couple of minor niggles:

When used on the barbecue it lost connection to the app when I was in the lounge, but we do have an old cottage, so that might explain it. I had to move the phone into another room that was a bit nearer to the barbecue outside, and then it was fine. I’m sure it would be perfect if sat outside, and it was fine when used inside the house, in the oven.

The temperatures you set don’t change automatically when switching from centigrade to Fahrenheit. That could catch people out. So if you set it to 70, then remember and change it from centigrade to Fahrenheit, it stays at 70.

When adjusting the set temperatures you can only do one press (1 degree) at a time, pressing it each time. You can’t keep a finger on the app and let it automatically run up or down.

    Fantastic For my BBQ
My son brought along his gadget and I used it to roast the Christmas turkey in my kettle BBQ. It worked so well that I’ve bought one for myself! For the first time I was able to accurately control the temperature in the BBQ, and monitor the internal temperature of different parts of of the meat, simultaneously. When the meat reached the desired temperature, an alarm went off in the free app on my phone, even though I was inside the house and the BBQ was outside. I ended up with the best, juiciest and tastiest turkey I have ever produced. Brilliant – I love it!

By the way, a similar product from a leading kettle BBQ manufacturer costs nearly 3 times as much.

EXTREMELY ACCURATE; A MUST HAVE IF YOU ARE INTO GOOD COOKING
I am writing this review after two full years of use. This is an excellent unit for getting your meats just right, whether using it on the BBQ or in an oven.
The four probes are excellent an you can get everything cooked to just the correct temperature.

The app is excellent; there was no trouble in getting it to connect with the phone and you can relax, with confidence, while the various meats cook.

It has been used extensively over the past two years, more so on a BBQ than in an oven.
It has performed flawlessly and still works as good as first day.

    Highly recommended.

Far better than using the temp on the BBQ. 4 probes is very generous, I’ve only ever used the ambient probe and one meat probe at a time.
The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is Bluetooth. I know it has its ranges but once you lose range you lose all the previous heat data from the probes. Obviously don’t go too far from the probe with your phone.

    Flimsy build quality
I had the normal inkbird before this one but thought it would be good to have the waterproof one, or splash proof one anyway but this one is really flimsy, the charging port has a grommet that you push out of the way to charge but after charging i can’t get the grommet to go back in to position so there goes the waterproof side of it and it just feels light and flimsy. Disappointed with this one, although the temperatures are right and the app is good so it still works, just not worth the extra for the waterproof version.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersUsed to monitor home oven temperatures, EXCELLENT, simple, EASY TO SEE display, long battery life
We bought this for an alternative use to bbq’s. The four probes have been inserted in the back of a 4 oven range alongside the ovens own temperature probes. We have been using this now for over six weeks and its highlighted how inaccurate the temps on the control knobs are (on a 4000 range) and has allowed us terrific control when using the ovens as we can set the temperatures very accurately. The display is simple and clear, we avoided all other probes with nonsense graphics of cows and chickens and a multitude of unnecessary timers on the displays. One touch turns the temperature sensor on and the bright clear LED numbers can be seen right across the kitchen. Battery life is awesome, with daily use we are charging the unit every four weeks. The only improvement we could suggest (for our purpose) would be to be able to select one probe at a time as opposed to the scrolling through the temps continuously. The Bluetooth app adds additional functionality, but for our purposes we have not been using it. Its, just excellent.

    Four for one...
    Hello everyone

This product delivers what it said it would, and for that price its very great. Although the app what not simply enough I think some updates will improve the experience so much. Anyways the app does have great features once yoh used to it, it display information of the cooking history and temperature which I found great to adjust your smoker temperature. I did to this time (writing this review) four BBQ and smokings, the product did what it supposed to do no that complicated. Also one think to note the product props; three for meat monitoring and one for the grill, over etc…

One miner inconvenience was the app doesn’t have the option to switch to only notifications vibration, because I didn’t wanted to have a loud sound notifications on my phone.

That being said, its still great produc

    Decent bit of ki
I bought this as I’ve been watching every meat smoking programme on Netflix and if Santa thinks I’ve been a good chap, hope to start smoking in the new year with an offset smoker.

I tested this out in the oven tonight with a whole chicken. I went with the 4 probe because I figured that when I come to doing a full smoke, I may come to wishing I’d just gone for the 4 in the first place.

The app is really smart and easy to use. It was literally a case of switching the unit on, hooking it up to the app, click the chicken preset and poke the bird.

I used two probes tonight, one in the leg, the other in the breast. For me, even if I never used this for smoking, is that monitoring the whole chicken throughout the cook gave some good information on how quickly parts of the meat come up to temperature, and that every time you check on the bird, you’re losing heat (obvious but to see it on the app helps to stop the itch).

I like this bit of kit and it really does seem to help me to understand what I’m cooking and takes away the worry that the food is under/over cooked.

    Game Changer for the BBQ
I enjoy cooking steak on the BBQ, but always have a sense of never really knowing when something is properly cooked. I’ve tried timers, the thumb on your fingers thing, the steak cooking app – all very mixed.

These are great. You put them in the steak (or whatever) and use an app to programme your alerts. I use the US FDA for steak; the temps are a bit lower than the app defaults.

The app, and the display, alarm when the desired temperature is reached. There are 3 food probes and 1 air probe in the pack.

It would have been good if the probe wires were colour coded, as a tangle of wires on 3 steaks can be tricky to see which is which. It would have been better to be wireless, but at the time I didn’t want to spend more on something I wasn’t sure of.

Great for smoking on the bbq, great value
I’ve been uing this product for 3 months now and have put it through its paces in that time. Have used it to monitor low and slow smoking sessions of 16 hours+ as well as hot and fast. I’ve used it on my offset, my bullet smker and my kamado and it’s been great on all three. The ambient probe can be a bit slow to come up to temp in comparison to a copule of my other thermometers but it’s great once it’s up to temp. The bluetooth connectivity is very good and has a decent range, in fact I’ve found the connectivity to be much more reliable than my meater+ and suffers fewer drops, in fact the only drops I’ve had are when I accidentally back out of the app or close it.
The app is okay and quite easy to use, the only drawbacks being: No way to save historic data for each cook and having to press ‘+’ or ‘-‘ to adjust temperature targets rather than being able to type in your temp.

Overall, this can’t be beat for the money and I’ve just bought a second one.

This was bought for smoking meat. It was so simple to set up and the temperature alarms are brilliant. One probe is set up to use to check oven temperature, the others are sharp to push into the meat. You are notified if you stray too far so that you lose the Bluetooth signal which seems to work up to at least 50m. The suggested temperatures for various things are very good. After cleaning my cables for the first time, one of them stopped working. I emailed customer support and the response time is quick! Within a few hours a polite and clear explanation was given (clean the probes but don’t submerge the cables) and my problem was fixed. I wish the cables were waterproof as BBQs are by nature a little messy but this is an excellent thermometer. Definitely get one!

Great device to use which gives you accurate readings for you bbq and internal meat readings. Alarm settings are a bit of a pain because it you program it for a range and you lift the lid to check the meat the alarms goes off along with you moving away from the ink box the alarm goes off. If it had a delay on the bbq temperature to over come this would be good. But found the ink box easy to use with accurate settings. Meat turned out perfect for a first attempt so can’t be to bad.

Reliable thermostat that’s quick to use
I think this is a must for any bbq. It guides you on the perfect internal cooking temperature which for steaks includes how you like it (rare, m rare etc) whilst for chicken it’s just vital. Yesterday I was cooking a chicken breast and after over 12 mins on the grill it looked ready but this helped me quickly spot that it needed longer and importantly keep it on the grill the whole time.

I do get confused by which probe is which, I may paint the ends different colours to help. I’d actually recommend you buy a smaller version to avoid this problem and save a little cash.

Rechargeable battery lasts ages and range for phone is pretty good maybe 10m if you go indoors and 25m outside.

I love this I now have two, the first one was great, I smoke a lot of meat and love it.

So need a way to keep an eye on each meat as they smoke/cook.

You can never go wrong with over/under cooking meat again. Its fool proof design is great. I love this version has a prong for the temp in the smoker, this is great when I’m trying to get up temps at the start.

If you have a BBQ/Smoker, then this is a must-have. Bluetooth’s range is very good, I’ve got a 70ft (21.34 metres) garden through a window that works great.

The app is good as you can set names, times on each temp probe.

I was going to get a weber igrill 3 but thought I’d give this a try for 40% of the cost and I’m not disappointed. Really easy to use and the app is fantastic. It warned me when the temperature of my BBQ was getting too high or too low while I slow smoked a brisket . It was my first brisket and the only problem was that I didn’t allow enough time to cook it so ended up putting it on direct heat and doing half an hour of cooking in what should have been two hours more slow smoking. Was still delicious though . If I didn’t know the temperature then it would have been under cooked. Can’t believe what you get for the price to be honest. Really impressed.

    Wow complete game changer!
I don’t usually write an immediate review bit I am super impressed with this product. The setup to my android was seamless and the product works extremely accurately to cook the perfect cut in my oven. The cabling fits through the oven door easily.

True you can get much cheaper non-smartphone thermometers and they’re great but the convenience of sitting in the next room and waiting for an alarm is great especially when the meat comes out absolutely perfect with minimal effort or guessing…or worrying.

Sorry to sound like I own the company (which I don’t!) But this product has given me a really REALLY easy way to perfectly cook usually very difficult things (small birds or small cuts of meat) while I watch TV!

    What’s not to like?!

I already have the Inkbird IBT-2X and am very satisfied with it.
of course the two additional channels! I didn’t think I needed more than two, but if the cooking room temperature was to be recorded, I was able to measure the core temperature in one piece of meat at the same time. — A real added value!

    – the length of the sensor cables. With approx. 1.5 m, these are a good bit longer, which is especially beneficial when grilling.

    – the magnetic holder. This makes it easy to attach the device to a cool place from the grill housing. The IBT-2X does not have such a thing, which is why I always fell off the grill. I then fixed it with cable ties. But the magnetic holder, of course, is much more comfortable.

    – the rotating indicator. Depending on how to align the IBT-4XS, the temperature display can be rotated appropriately. This is not vital, but nice-to-have J

    – the charging option directly in the device – so I do not need to take out the batteries, but simply charge via USB charger (from the mobile phone or similar).

Otherwise, there is only to say that the Inkbird IBT-4XS works perfectly and reliably

Very easy to set up, but it wasn’t too clear that the pairing button is a touch sensitive black circle on the front of the device.
Ran it from my Samsung phone. In the apple App Store i needed to select ‘iPhone only’ option to find the App for my iPad. Ofc, it runs in portrait mode on the iPad ;(
Bluetooth only but I had no lost connection problems compared to my meater device (awful to remain connected with meater, tho I dont know if it’s better nowadays) Very basic app with a list of editable temperature meat types plus a progress chart.
Bought for bbq so I used a probe on the grill plus one in the meat itself. Temperatures mostly echoed an old wireless thermometer, but sometimes there was up to three degrees difference.
Probes can get hot so have your bbq gloves somewhere handy.
finally, don’t do as I do and leave on the rubber tip protector! Take the darn thing off first 🙂

Golden Review Award: 22 From Our UsersFool-proof, life-saving thermometer!
I’m quite new to smoking meat and I am really unsure of cooking times, etc. In such cases, a thermometer is crucial to test meat for doneness without cutting the piece open and ruining it. This thermometer really helped me. I had a big brisket to smoke, which I had to chop in 3. The fact I had 3 probes with independent metering really made the process seamless and allowed me to remove the pieces of meat from the fire on time.
If there’s a default, it’s only the lack of loop for a cord and a pouch (this one you can buy separately). As far as the thermometer goes, I don’t think it could be better. The battery didn’t even reach 50% after 8h of smoking.
Ah! and it was incredibly accurate. Once it reached 200F, I removed the meat from the fire and let it rest. When I opened it, the brisket was tender and moist and yet, perfectly cooked. Totally recommend this!

Firstly when it arrived its nicely packaged up includes the thermometer display, 4 probes and a charging cable for the inbuilt battery.

I like that the probes are slim. So I can fit them through the grommit on my bbq where my other probes have to be tucked under the lid.

In use (making sure the probes have been clicked in properly) the inkbird is accurate and handled my cook with ease. I had one probe measuring the grill temperature and the other in the pork shoulder I was cooking.

I have downloaded the free app and having had a brief pay around with it, it seems that it will do everything I need and the Bluetooth range is about as expected.

Its up there with my other thermometer which cost considerably more and has less probes. All in all I don’t think you can go wrong.

As a side you can get a case to match the inkbird, which has a foam inner cut to hold the inkbird and keep all the probes tucked away.

Great device and app surprisingly good
I’ve so far experimented with the device making smoked chicken and garlic sausages in my Bradley Smoker – which require good temperature control so as not to overcook the chicken. 4 probes make it really handy to monitor a number of pieces of meat and identify hot / cold spots so i can move things around. The probes seem accurate and the device charged quickly. I was ready to be disappointed by the app but actually it was responsive and well laid out – will look forward to using again!
Only downside in my opinion is having to charge it – i’d prefer batteries so when i want to cook, i can cook – no waiting around for it to charge.
    Great device

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersA quality four probe BBQ thermometer.
The Inkbird IBT-4XS arrived promptly and on unpacking looked a quality piece of kit. There are four probes which can be used to monitor the internal temperature of the meat or the bbq temperature, two clips are included to attach the probe to the grill. I cooked a couple of duck breasts on the Weber MT using the Inkbird. The magnetic backing was useful to allow ease of view when monitoring the cook and the Bluetooth connection with the Inkbird app allowed me to monitor the temperatures on my iPhone in the kitchen. Prior to the cook I calibrated the thermometer with iced and boiling water and found it accurate. The subsequent cook resulted in perfectly medium rare duck breasts. This Inkbird thermometer is very accurate and great value for a four probe unit. Highly recommended. If interested my cooks can be followed on Instagram @itsinthesmoke.

Overall worth a buy, wish there was done way to turn down the alarm volume, can get a bit another sometimes and your can’t name a preset without setting it up for example I just want to use one of the probes to get temp of the grill area, no meat. This is not a big deal breaker though. Overall this product is great for is price, the battery is flipping amazing, accuracy is great, love the way I can use it on my phone, the blue tooth range is exceptional, the software is okay, needs a bit of T L C from the coders but again not a deal breaker, you can check temp of your bbq/ smoker remotely e.g you need to pop to the shops for another bottle of red, smoky use teamviewer app on a service device which is connected to the inkbird and you can connect using your phone to the fittest device, not great but Stewart least this allows you to check temp
