Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersIn meinen Augen der bisher beste JBL Charge

Spotify Direkt funktioniert tadellos!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersExcelente custo benefício, dúvidas sobre o wifi

It is very very good and the bass is pleasing.
There’s nothing I don’t like about this unit, could be better if I could say ” OK Google” to it? The bass is very good and the volume is easy to voice control.

    J’adore.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersConnections facile et très bon qualité de so

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersA great speaker that will last a good long while.
It feels quite well-made, sleek, and is surprisingly lightweight. The buttons are responsive and it doesn’t take more than a few seconds to pair it with a device. I haven’t had any problems with the connection breaking up or randomly disconnecting.

Sound quality is top notch. It’s fairly similar to the Charge 4 to be honest, just much louder. Hefty bass with no noticeable distortion (even with the volume on full blast), beautifully clear highs, and warm mids. Good all-rounder for listening to different genres and music.

The power bank feature is a nice plus. It doesn’t charge my phone quickly but it’s a good emergency option when I’m on the go. I was surprised to see there was no aux input though, unlike the Charge 4, so I can’t use the speakers with a non-wireless source other than via the USB-A ports. Not really worth deducting a star though.

Very happy with this overall. I’ve also tested the app to sync this with two other speakers in PartyBoost mode and it worked a treat! I’d be happy to recommend.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersExceptional quality. A versatile speaker that sounds fantastic!
I’ve been using the JBL Charge 5 WiFi for several weeks now, and overall, I’m incredibly impressed with it. Here are the pros and cons as I see them:

    Pros:
Sound Quality: It sounds fantastic! The speaker delivers powerful bass, clear vocals, and a dynamic sound. It’s especially impressive at high volumes, making it suitable for parties and gatherings. I love how good it sounds!

Build & Design: It looks and feels great. The speaker is solidly built with a rubberized textured coating, ensuring a good grip. Its design is both aesthetically pleasing and functional.

Battery Life: The battery life is very impressive – lasting up to 20 hours on a single charge. This makes it ideal for extended use without frequent charging.

Connectivity & Features: The integrated WiFi and Bluetooth options offer versatility in streaming music. Additionally, features like Spotify integration and compatibility with Google Home, Airplay, and Alexa. I now use this as a Bluetooth speaker with almost all my smart speakers.

Durability: The speaker is IP67 rated, making it waterproof and dustproof. This ensures durability in various environments, including outdoor settings. I’ve used it outside for a couple of family BBQs, and it got left out overnight and rained upon but suffered no ill effects.

    Cons:
Price: It has a high price point, which makes it unaffordable for those on a budget, but I think it feels like you get pretty good value for money. If I had to give it marks out of ten for price, it would be 7/10.

Size & Weight: The speaker is portable enough to transport from room to room and take with you on a camping trip or similar, but it’s not something you’d want to carry on you for any length of time, but there are plenty of personal portable speakers that offer that facility.

App setup: I found this to be a bit tricky, and it took me about fifteen minutes to get it fully set to use with the app – I had to download two apps to get it fully set up – JBL Portable and JBL One – and I’ve not really used either of them since as I primarily use it as a Bluetooth speaker with other devices and music apps.

In summary, the JBL Charge 5 WiFi and Bluetooth Speaker is well-built, practical for use indoors and out, and it sounds FANTASTIC! Previously, I’ve paid a premium price for high-end smart speakers, but in the future, I’m more likely to buy entry-level smart speakers and connect them to the JBL Charge as I can use it where I like and get all the benefits of a smart speaker coupled with incredible sound quality.

This JBL Charge 5 WiFi and Bluetooth Speaker is fantastic!

It arrives in a well designed and premium box with everything you need.

To start using the speaker, you need to download the JBL one app and follow the directions, this prompted a system update on the speaker and I was able to get using it.

I am able to play directly from spotfy via the wifi or connect to it via bluetooth.

The sound is powerful and rich, I had to turn the volume down lower than I was expecting because it produces such a loud sound.

It’s obviously expensive and a considered purchase, but for the portability and the sound it’s a fabulous speaker and I am looking forward to using it more!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersExcellent sound speaker with great integrated features.
This is a decent sounding speaker that is provided by a reliable and known brand, albeit a bit on the expensive side.

This speaker has a twin that is a fair bit cheaper there appears to be quite an increase in price for the addition of WiFi and some integrated features.

Is it worth it? That’s for you to decide, but I can say the additional WiFi is quite handy.

As for the sound, I find that it is fairly well balanced overall on a variety of music. Bass is present, if a little much at times as well as mids and highs all presented. You tend to find some cheaper speakers can be muddy sounding and fairly unpleasant, but in my opinion none of that with this speaker.

The speaker is very easy to use and charge and battery life from my testing and use so far is really impressive. Battery life of course will be dependent on loudness and use of other features.

As for the additional WiFi in this model it is a really nice addition to this speaker, having those integrated features such as spotify integration and integration of Google home, airplay and Alexa is exceptionally useful, whether that justification for the price tag is going to be a personal issue.

Overall though this is a great little speaker, that kicks out some great sound and gets nice and loud without distorting.
Integrated Bluetooth and WiFi is a nice addition and being able to use with Alexa is great as you can potentially use it as a smart speaker.
The battery life is also a great feature. Up to 20 hours by it’s own accounts is exceptional.

    Great sound
I was torn between Audio Pro and JBL. The Audio pro has excellent sound quality and also is more aesthetically pleasing. However, the JBL also sounds brilliant, is smaller and lighter and has the added feature of being IP67 rated so no need to worry about rain and dust, making it perfect for going on holiday/beach trips. Is also cheaper too.
The sound quality is unbelievable for a portable speaker and it is very well built with a durable casing to help protect it
Very pleased with the JBL, would recommend.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersGreat build and audio quality
This JBL speaker is a chunky little beast, quite heavy but solidly made. Externally it has a rubberised textured coating that makes is easy to grip and keeps everything covered so, while
not fully waterproof, it is protected against drizzle if used outdoors.

Operation is simple with a few buttons located on the top of the unit. Bluetooth connection to my iPhone was quick and simple, but it did at times struggle through even a single wall when we had it playing outside and I popped inside.

Audio is really good though, punchy bass, crisp highs, and resonant mids. It’s exceptionally crisp and can reach a very high volume so great for parties.

Portability is fantastic, can be carried around anywhere, is solid enough to deal with almost any environment, and extremely long lasting battery.

I do question whether it offers good value for money at 230, the build quality and audio are really good but I’ve had equally as good speakers for half the price.

    Seriously impressive
A great speaker from JBL. Excellent build quality and sound. I particularly like the fact you can alter the dynamics with the app equaliser – reducing bass (booming bass being one of my bugbears with these types of speaker) and keeping treble to a comfortable level. The wifi option lets you stream music (Spotify etc) or listen to any wifi radio etc. through your phone – a great bonus. In practice, it might not offer a huge difference as you can still connect via bluetooth. I have found the wifi connection drops every now and then, tho this might well be due to my network rather than the speaker. It adds a lot onto the asking price. But I am extremely satisfied – it’s a delight to use, doesn’t have a huge footprint and the sound is dynamite. Fantastic!
