1. For Cold Therapy
- Place pack in the freezer for up to 2 hours before use.
- Remove from freezer and touch test to ensure gel pack is at desired temperature. If gel pack is not flexible or is too solid leave at room temperature for a few minutes.
- Important: Do not place pack directly onto the skin as extreme temperatures can cause burns.
1. For Heat Therapy
- Place pack in the centre of the microwave and heat for 20 seconds on full power at 850W.
- Massage pack to disperse the heat evenly.
- Continue to heat in 5 second intervals to reach desired temperature if required.
- Times should be reduced for microwaves with higher power ratings.
- Important: Do not place pack directly onto the skin as extreme temperatures can cause burns.
This pack can also be heated in hot water. Simply place the gel pack in a pan of hot water for 8-10 minutes, remove with care (use tongs or similar) and touch test to check temperature.
2. Wrap Gel Pack in Sleeve or Wrap
- Place pack in sleeve or compression wrap (cloth or towel can also be used).
- Check the temperature of the gel pack prior to application.
- Ensure the gel pack is flexible and can be easily applied to the body area.
3. Apply to the Body
- Place the covered gel pack onto the affected body area.
- Use the pack in short intervals of no longer than 20 minutes.
- Note: Cease use if the pack causes any discomfort.

I absolutely love this ice/cool pack with a wrap around holder to put it in. A bonus to get two for the price I paid too.
I have a horse fly bite that I’m on strong antibiotics for. My skin is swollen, tight and so hot around the bite. It’s sore and very itchy too.
This pack is brilliant and by the time the cold has worn off the other one is cold or frozen, but not enough you can’t put it in its pocket to wrap around the area needed. On the ankle it’s so relieving. Definately a must have for anyone’s first aid box.
