lobloo PRO-FIT Patent Pending, Professional Dual-Density impressionless Mouthguard for High Contact Sports as MMA, Hockey, Football, Rugby. Large +14yrs, Ivory

lobloo PRO-FIT Professional Dual-Density Impressionless Mouthguard

Just like your body needs bones for stability and muscles for flexibility, a mouthguard needs a hard skeleton as well as a shock-absorbing elastic barrier.

Both are equally important, because mouthguards protect you in two ways: by diffusing impact forces across their entire surface area and by absorbing kinetic energy into the material itself.

With a patent pending, lobloo’s latest mouthguard, Pro-Fit, features a ridged inner moulding material that through our vacuum technique is pushed around your teeth for an even tighter fit. And, as with lobloo Slick, a slim but rigid outer material offers superior protection by spreading impact forces across a large area. The result is a mouthguard that virtually fuses with your upper jaw, providing optimal protection whilst allowing easy breathing, drinking and talking.

lobloo recommend using Pro-Fit when practicing: Baseball, BJJ, Boxing, Cricket, Downhill Biking, Fencing, Football, Grappling, Handball, Hockey, Horse Riding, Karate, Kickboxing, Krav Maga, Kyokushin, Lacrosse, Martial Arts, MMA, Paintball, Racquetball, Riot, rugby, Skateboard, Taekwondo, Thai Boxing.

Your full focus can stay where it should be.

On the action.

So, I did not get this for use in contact sports. No, I’m a grinder and jaw clencher, especially at night. Not only is that uncomfortable, but it’s very hard on your teeth. For years, I’ve mostly used the $0.98 moldable Wilson’s brand mouth guards. I have only two issues with those: one is that I’ll grind through one over a matter of several months. The second is that there’s not a great way of cleaning them, but since they were cheap, not a big deal to replace them. Unfortunately, Walmart stopped carrying them, and buying them on eBay is a lot more pricey, not to mention less convenient. I had previously ordered different ones from Amazon, and even ordered some through my dentist ($$$$$$). The ones I’ve ordered have been hit or miss, as I have a very small mouth. I have to order youth-sized mouth guards, when not getting custom made from the dentist.

Anyway, although this one very occasionally makes me gag, due to the substantial amount of material in the roof of my mouth, I feel like this one does a really good job of protecting my teeth. This is different than any other guard I’ve used, in that it has two layers . The outside layer stays more rigid, and does not mold to your teeth. The inner layer is what molds to the shape of your upper teeth. Although this guard is a little more pricey than others I’ve used, I think that it probably provides more protection for those participating in contact sports. For me, it’s probably a bit of overkill for what I need, and I would probably would purchase something a little less pricey. For its intended purpose, though, I think it would be a great choice.

Heat molded mouthgards are nothing new but this one has a nice multi-density construction. The outer purple layer is a softer material that doesn’t grind against the lips, tongue, and gums like harder plastic mouthguards can. The inner black layer is a harder material and does an excellent job of molding to your teeth to protect them and keep the guard in place.

I have a relatively large mouth (7 3/4 hat size) and found the mouthguard to be big enough to reach all teeth except my wisdom teeth. Smaller folks may have to trim the guard. I molded it in the normal method (dip in hot water, bite down, wait) and have found it quite comfortable over several weeks of rugby practice. I suspect this will have a 1-2 season lifespan, at least as good as most cheaper mouthguards. So far, it’s done it’s job and I still have all my teeth.

It’s a good item and worth the premium for the comfort.

My son LOVES this mouthguard, it lets him talk to his hockey team and drink water without having to take it out so as a goalie he can take his water bottle out to the net with him and it still gives him the protection needed. As a goalie, it’s mostly chin or head impacts that he’s likely to see the upper guard is a great option for him. He also has an expander in on the bottom and braces going in soon so we haven’t even molded it and it’s a great improvement over the full guard he had before this.

    Cons:
Pricey Punch: The lobloo PRO-FIT comes at a premium price point, potentially making it a less attractive option for budget-conscious athletes.
Case Craving: While the packaging is impressive, a dedicated hard case with a snug fit for the molded mouthguard would be a welcome addition instead of the fabric bag.

    Overall:
The lobloo PRO-FIT is a top-tier mouthguard offering exceptional quality, comfort, and style. But be prepared for a higher price tag. If you’re a serious athlete or simply prioritize the best of the best, the lobloo PRO-FIT is worth considering. However, for those on a budget or seeking a basic option, alternative brands might be more suitable.

This is a very good product! Used the Lobloo PRO-FIT for some light kickboxing sparring session, and found these a good alternative to my other mouth guards. They are comfortable and easy to breathe in. The pointy channel at the top of the mouth guard seems to help channel my breath better than my other branded mouth guards that is more rounded. A couple of shots to the mouth and jaw it felt comfortable and protective.

These are easy to mold and provide a typical boil and cool method setup as other custom mouth guards. The bonus is the provided instructional video by Lobloo is very well done. It comes with a drawstring mesh bag, but I would rather have a ventilated hard case because it is more hygienic and less prone to germs. For now I will be keeping it in the provided plastic bag.

This is a winner in my book!

    This will save your teeth

It fits comfortably and provides good protection for my teeth and jaw during sparring. Super easy to mold and get a good fit, just like any other mouthguard. The quality is good and easy to clean. Overall a necessary and reliable accessory for boxing safety and this one is as good as they get.

When I received this I watched the instruction video on the website, and it is a very simple process to custom mold it to fit my teeth. I am very impressed by how well it molded into my teeth and gums, for a minute I was worried it was actually going to be stuck therebut it just stays put and feels like it is vacuumed into place. I am wondering if I left it in the hot water just a little bit too long because the molding material flowed out a little more than I expected and left a little part that covers the roof of my mouth, but I find it to be comfortable as it is so I’m not worried about that. The protector covers my upper teeth back to the second to last set of molars. It is comfortable to wear, and if I’m doing something active I hardly notice it is there. It doesn’t interfere with my breathing, and I can drink water just fine, even with a bite valve. I think it would be great protection for contact sports or if you find yourself grinding your teeth while you work out.

This mouth guard was a nice balance of being sturdy but soft feeling in your mouth. The fitting was also much easier than some of the other mouth guards we have tried in the past. We’ve had so many meltdowns over wearing mouth guards until we got this one. My daughter loved it so much, especially since she could still talk easily while wearing this, that she wore it all the way to hockey practice after fitting it.

My son started studying full contact martial arts a few months ago. Even though they wear boxing gloves, he has taken a few shots to the face that slammed his teeth together. I ordered the Lobloo Pro-Fit mouth guard to help keep him from damaging his dental work.

The guard is fit like most others; boil it to soften up the material then put it in your mouth in order to custom shape it to the shape of your mouth. The difference with this guard is that it it thicker than others I have used in the past. It isn’t so thick that it is uncomfortable but just thick enough to offer some extra protection.

My son has said that, since using the Pro-Fit, his jaw hasn’t hurt at all when getting hit. As far as I’m concerned, that earns it a 5 star review (and probably saves me hundreds in future dental repair bills!). In my opinion that makes it well worth the $35 asking price.

It fits pretty well and does its job. No bad taste and the texture is smooth. I will be using this for basketball and while it does fit well, the upper lip area seems to be uncomfortable after some duration.
