Are the metal plate magnetic?
No, as the name ‘ metal plates’ suggests, they are not magnetic. They are to be used with magnetic phone holders. Think of it as a coin. The way a coin doesn’t have any suction power of its own, similar are the metal plates.
Do the metal plates have good suction power?
As long as the magnetic phone car mount has good magnets like ‘Magder magnetic phone holder’ , the metal plates will hold the phone firmly.
Do the metal plates interfere with magsafe or wireless charging?
It depends, some phones charge flawlessly and other not so much so. Having the metal plates attached NOT directly the wireless charging area will eliminate the problem.
Can the metal plates be used with magnetic phone holder and with any phone ?
Yes, as they universally compatible.

There’s not much to say about metal plates!
They’re well made handy to use on phone or cameras or sat navs with a bit of tinkering they come with “3M” sticky pads so assuming it’s the real stuff should stick well.
Nothing bad to say about these!
These little metal plates stick to the back of your mobile phone like glue, (and I guess will be quite a job to remove when the time comes). There are 4 of these ‘plates’ in the pack (2 small round ones and 2 larger rectangle ones) so will fit all kinds of different devices, and for less than 5 a pack is good value. You don’t notice you have them stuck to the back of your mobile as they are very thin and lightweight. Just be aware that these are not magnetic themselves, but once fitted will enable you to place on a magnetic holder to keep them in place. Mine works perfectly! The only downside I can see with these is the fact they do stick very well indeed and therefore may cause a few issues if you ever need to remove them!
Just what I needed
Perfect for additional phone covers to use with magnetic mounts, I prefer to stick these to a phone cover instead of the actual phone simply because once stuck on they are a nightmare to get back of the actual phone.

These are really sticky and great value for money, Got these to attach tool bins etc to side of my 3d printer enclosure and they work perfectly!!

So the description states this is a:-

Because these are really thin, they do not get in when attached to the back of your phone or case.
Where I had trouble before I couldn’t keep the case on my mobile and use the one car phone holder. I have now attached this to the back of my case and able to use the magnetic car fitted holder no problem.
All you need to do is to make sure the surface is clean and dry before attaching the plate so it gets a good place to attach too. I then work from the middle outwards pressing and pushing any trapped air.
I didn’t use it for 24hrs just to make sure it was stuck securely.
We have had no problem since using, it’s still stuck in place.
The price at the time of this review is 3.59, which works out to be 90p each.

Very Good For The Right Mount.
Not much you can really say about 4 small metal plates. They are thin and self adhesive. As stated these are not themselves magnetic.
One thing I did find was the circular plate is too small to use with a MagSafe mount, well at the least the one I have, You can see in the photos it attaches to the phone off centre and because it is smaller it is not in contact with all the magnets on the mount. With the rectangular one that is ok, but still not in contact with all the magnets on the mount, but it held the phone really well. Removing the circular plate took a bit of doing and it had only been on for a few minutes, so I will say the adhesion is good especially if left to cure for a while.
I would say if you have a smaller diameter magnetic mount or a rectangular mount these would work very well and at less than a pound each (3.49 at time of review) I think that is value for money as they are well crafted, very thin and have no sharp edges.
After just writing that I hunted out some other phone mounts I have and found one which had a smaller circular magnetic mount and the other which had a rectangular magnetic mount and as I thought the plates worked very well with these. So well in fact I might swap back to using one of those mounts.

Great fit but unsuitable for wireless charging
The adhesive is great, but it didn’t stick to the phone so I stuck it on the case to make my phone compatible with the magnetic holder. Everything was well until I realised that it prevented the phone from charging wirelessly. So I had to remove it which was a struggle. It would have been worse if I had to take it out from the phone itself. But I could bend the case so it worked with some effort.
So I recommend sticking it on the case, rather than the phone itself.
As you can tell, the adhesive is very good in this and also, the metal is sturdy too. As long as you are not using a wireless charger, it is a great accessory, otherwise, you may have to remove the case to charge the phone.
Does the job as described
2 rectangular and two circular metal plates. I would advise that the plates are attached to your case, or device and the adhesive allowed to cure over at least a few hours. I have found no problem with the plates detaching under the power of the magnet if this procedure is followed. I found the larger rectangular plates were more strongly attracted to the magnetic holder. Both sizes of plate look okay on a black phone case, even with the product logo which is understated.
Nice metal plates
I got these because I have a new magnetic mount, so with me having a Galaxy A52s I needed something to put on my phone cases to hold the phone on my mount.
I have tried both plates the larger rectangular and the smaller circular mounting plates, i did find that the Larger rectangular plate holds better on my magnetic mount. I also tried a plate on the back of my sat nav and it just about held, that could have been because the magnetic mount may not be strong enough rather then the plate.
All four plates are thin (0.5mm) making them very lightweight, so you do not notice any extra weight when holding the phone. All the plates come with a strong adhesive backing, so stick well to various surfaces.
(Round metal plates diameter is 4cm & Rectangular metal plates are 4 x 6cm)
I found them very easy to stick onto my phone cases, just take off the white 3M sticker cover to reveal the sticker on the plate and stick the plate onto either the back of your phone or onto your phone case.
From a safety point of view, all these plates seem to have nice smooth edges.
Overall they are great metal plates and also good for other devices.

Works perfectly
With the price of them I was a little dubious, but they work perfectly. Attached it to the phone case and is working perfectly with no issues.
The sticky tape is secure and holding tight, the magsafe accessories attach to them without issue and work perfectly.
Great for magnetic phone mounts
My wife and I share a car and both of us use sat. navs. on our phone. Within the car we have a magnetic phone holder which came with one metal plate. The holder works great but, inevitably, we forget to swap the metal plate between our phones and at various points one of us has had an awkward time of navigation.
This set completely solves this problem – we now have a plate each and a few spares for other things. There’s nothing really to dislike – these work well and are a fair price – get them if you need them!

Pleasantly Wide
I love these magnets due to the dimensional width. I use a Sony Xperia which is known for its large screens. Oftentimes, when I’m driving I like to have my phone mounted whilst listening to Podcasts or Music on the-go, the only problem I sometimes have is that I can’t see the screen well and I need to rotate it in landscape mode but due to the metal plate size on the back of my phone cover it can’t hold that position well and it reverts back to portrait mode.
When i received these metal plates I knew right away that these issues would be resolved. I kept the existing metal plate and centered this new metal plate horizontally.
I let it dry out for about 30 mins before actually using it. The magnet works much better with these plates and there’s more room to customize the position now. I can place my device in landscape mode, which also makes it easier to operate it in car mode whilst stuck in traffic and etc.
As always, please make sure to follow traffic laws of course, but it goes without saying that these make operating your phone much less hassle, when connected to in-car Bluetooth. I can also see important alerts that come through my phone and I credit that to the wide metal plate which enables me to have more customization.
They attach magnetically but prevent wireless charging.
I have a security case for my phone which attaches via a retractable cord to my belt.
The case allows charging but prevents a strong magnetic attachment to the charger. SO I thought it might be a good idea to stick a metal disk to the case so it would attach to the charger.
It does stick to the charger, but it prevents charging. Even without the case fitted as soon as this metal plate is between the phone and the charger charging is disabled.
For my purpose it was not good, for the purpose it was probably designed for – sticking to a magnetic holder, it does work, so I cannot fault it for that.
