    Highly Recommended!
I recently tested out four different USB Bluetooth dongles; two different units from Maxuni, one Ugreen and one Zexmte device (see pictures). The first three are 5.3 devices and the latter a 5.1. I only have access to Windows 10 presently, so can’t speak to reliability/compatibility on other operating systems, but tested each device on two PCs with bluetooth keyboards and touchpads, speakers, a controller and a mouse. All these items worked with every dongle. What are the key differences between them? Well, one Maxuni dongle has a loop for a lanyard/wrist strap and an LED light, and the other doesn’t. Apart from that they seem to be identical in performance. The other two dongles also have an LED light, and the Ugreen has an extended ‘aerial’. I couldn’t see any real difference in terms of performance over the kind of distance you’d need to use a keyboard or mouse – perhaps for a speaker which is going to be in another room you might want to consider the Ugreen – but my least favourite was the Zexmte. Every other device was simply plug and play, but that one required a system restart. Also, if I’d left a bluetooth keyboard or mouse, etc. still paired from the previous dongle I was testing, Windows would refuse to disconnect it until I plugged the dongle I’d paired it with back in. Perhaps this was because the Zexmte is bluetooth 5.1 and the others are 5.3 – or that’s just how Windows works – but either way it was a bit of a pain and not an issue I had encountered with the others. If had to pick only one I’d go for either of the Maxuni USB dongles; both worked flawlessly just by plugging them in, which is what you want! Oddly, the version with the light and strap loop is currently a pound cheaper than the simpler one, so you might as well pick that one, but whichever is cheaper at the time is what I’d choose (unless you really need to see an activity light).

Handy form, but installation not always straightforward.
Coming at this from the point of view of someone who doesn’t want to get too involved in the technicalities, I find it difficult to endorse this Bluetooth adaptor wholeheartedly, just because it didn’t work straight out of the ‘box’. On the other hand, I don’t want to condemn it for characteristics that might be found with any such device in the same situation.
I already had a similar Bluetooth 5.1 adaptor working on the Windows 10 PC. Replacing it with the Maxuni caused problems, as did also plugging both in together. There is clearly some conflict. The new device seems not to have removed the older one when installing, but I am not qualified to investigate what exactly has gone on, and am disinclined to tinker with drivers and settings that I don’t fully understand. It’s not easy to know which one you’re looking at in the device manager.
That said, others will have a perfectly painless experience with the adaptor, which is tiny, but nicely shaped to make it easy to handle. The accompanying documentation is brief but clear. I am sure that with more work, I can get this working smoothly, so I am giving it a neutral rating. The current price of about 6.50 including a 50% discount voucher is very little for a device that potentially can do so much.

Great adapter for creating a bluetooth enabled device network
We’re always looking for simple solutions to tidy and make our workspaces more efficient.

I ordered this Maxuni Bluetooth Adapter 5.3 Dongle for my husband.

He has multiple devices that are bluetooth enabled and having to connect up each device separately is a complete pain and not very efficient.

This dongle enables you to create almost a bluetooth network of all of the devices and has something similar to plug and play functionality.

It comes with quite comprehensive instructions, but the print is quite small.

It’s a qood quality and efficient product at a great price, and it makes working with multiple devices each with their own connections a lot simpler.

Works well on Windows 7 - once you've navigated the hurdles!
This is a nice little device that DOES work with Windows 7 – but you’ll need to pay close attention to get it working. It’s nicely packaged (easy to open without damage and reusable) and is a neat size that fits well into a USB slot. I had written an entire “how to” guide here on how to make it work on Windows 7, but for some reason that review was rejected by Amazon – so you’ll have to pay close attention and figure it out from what little information is forthcoming within the documentation and product listing (hence the 4 stars rather than 5 for difficulty of the installation process – inclusion of a download link or QR Code for the driver within the package itself would have made all the difference as the driver Windows 7 finds automatically is not the correct one and you need to search the text under “About this item” in the Amazon product listing to find it – which is well hidden). Apart from this, it’s a good product that seems to work well – but does not seem to work through solid walls so you’ll lose signal if you go the other side of one of those!

    Works As Described
A small and solid bluetooth Dongle, comes nicely packaged with instructions ( the writing is very very small though ). Plugged it into an old Fujitsu Siemens laptop and after messing about with the bluetooth settings got it working. Transfer speeds seemed ok from my phone to the laptop and from the laptop to the phone, keeping in mind the laptop is an old one. Happy days.

    Easy connectio
This is a handy little blue tooth Adapter , gives easy connection to my computer . Links easy to my phone. Etc.
The adapter looks well made and comes complete with a comprehensive list of instructions ( which is in very small print )
    But easy to follow.
    I would happily recommend.

    Good quality, fast.
This USB Bluetooth dongle works on Windows 10, pretty much out of the packet. it will pair the laptop that I plugged it into with a Samsung M22 and perform file transfers and so on with the same ease that you can with a wired connection except, of course, this is not physically tethered.
In the photograph, you can see it plugged into the laptop with the USB Bluetooth mouse dongle to the left of it for comparison.
The device comes up as having ‘Realtek Semiconductor Corp.’ as the vendor but I couldn’t get it to work on Linux – an environment where just about anything that you can plug into your computer will work.
The dongle is sturdily built and the USB plug is very tight.
On the whole, a well-built device that works well but it could do with a bit more cross-platform support.

Worked on Windows 10 and 11 machines
    Maxuni Bluetooth Adapter 5.3 Dongle

A very small Bluetooth dongle, perfect for needing to add Bluetooth features to your device if you haven’t otherwise got that compatibility.
Performance i didn’t have any problems no disconnect nor lag between the device. connection was pretty straight forward and on the newer operating systems like windows 10 and 11 which i used to test it pretty much was a plug and play scenario.
The manual is pretty like the device itself its incredibly small text to read making it completely useless for any one whom not tech savvy and would like to read the manual if they have any issues.

Overall priced in the area where others of the same spec’s are priced in the current market. good performance and my experience was pretty much a plug and play one.
