Works great on Kobo!
I purchased this pen as an alternative to the standard Kobo Stylus 2 and I couldn’t be happier!
Buttons for highlighting and erase are reversed (back end of pen works as a highlighter, and you can hold down the button to erase). Pen works flawlessly and even magnetically attached to Kobo Libra Colour!

Ich habe mir diesen Stift gekauft da ich mehr grafisch unterwegs sein wollte und mein alter Stift hatte eine sehr harte Plastikspitzt mit der es einfach keinen Spa gemacht hat.
Nun habe ich diesen Stift eine Weile getestet und ich muss sagen er ist wirklich super!
Liegt wunderbar in der Hand man kann sehr genau mit ihm arbeiten.
Die Akkudauer ist auch so wie beschrieben und wenn der Akku dann wirklich leer ist dauert es nur kurze Zeit und man hat wieder einen Einsatzbereiten Stift.
Also kein lstiges Batterien horten mehr und zustzlichen Mll.
Tolles Produkt was ich sehr empfehlen kann.
Outstanding
I actually prefer having the ‘eraser’ end being the highlighting end, and the clicking and drawing being the eraser. I use the highlight function a lot more so this suits me, and it also feels much better on the screen than using the pointy end for this function.
The stylus feels premium, and attaches perfectly with the Kobo Libra Notebook Sleepcover Case – which I also recommend. I also highly recommend the kobo libra color, as the highlighting being different colors makes the use of a stylus like this stand out.
Package comes with a replacement pointy bit, and 2 usb-C dust plugs to stop sand/dust getting in the pen – which I was pleasantly surprised by. One of these I put in the kobo to protect it when I take it out and about. And best of all, much more reasonable price than the over $130 kobo stylus (ridiculous!!). 5 stars Metapen.

Me gust mucho (aunque solo llevo tres das con ella) que se siente como un lpiz de dibujo profesional. No tengo que pelear con ella porque se desconect al Bluetooth, aunque si se quesa medio pasmada por instantes.
Me gusta la sensibilidad a los trazos y presin de los mismos. De haber sabido que por ese precio poda hacerme de un producto mejor al original la habra cambiado antes.
Achet en alternative au kobo stylus 2, parfaitement adapt. Fonctionne trs bien avec la liseuse. Seule diffrence : le bouton sur le ct sert gommer et le ct cens tre une gomme sert surligner.
On s’y fait vite et c’est mme finalement plus pratique comme a.
Rentre parfaitement dans mon tui en s’aimantant sur la kobo comme le stylet officiel.
Great product, good customer service
When I first received this pen I wasn’t able to use it more than 45 minutes before it would disconnect from my surface pro 5 and wouldn’t reconnect back until I did a full restart.
I contacted Metapen’s customer service and they got back to me very quickly, asked a few troubleshooting question, when those failed to help they immediately sent me a replacement pen.
This new pen is definitely working better than the first, and so far I am really enjoying this product.
I love how the pen tip doesn’t scratch against my screen and the pen feels more like a pencil
Works perfectly with my Kobo Libra Colour. Seems to be identical to the Kobo stylus 2 pen except the highlighter and eraser buttons are reversed. Great feel and fits perfectly in the Kobo Notebook case.
Excellent Pe
I am extremely happy with this stylus! It not only saved me a LOT of money compared to other options. It works in every way they claim, it connects easy, has touch sensitivity, erases with the back button, and more. I didn’t even have to pair it with my laptop, it just immediately started working.
I Saw another comment about someone who uses Krita, like I do, but how hers wouldn’t work right at first. But I followed her video on how to change your Krita settings to the Windows 8 version, and it worked instantly!
This is the best stylus I’ve owned so far and I’m happy I finally decided to just try something on the cheaper scale. If it’s comparable with your device, buy it!

Produit de qualit. Belle apparence, bonne tenue de la batterie et fonctionne parfaitement avec Windows 11. Plus ractif que mon prcdent pourtant de marque constructeur et fourni avec l’ordinateur… Petits plus : la “gomme” qui devient vite indispensable et l’aimantation.

Funktioniert ohne Probleme und der Akku von dem Stift hlt sehr lange.
Die Spitzen sind zwar austauschbar, habe ich aber bisher noch nicht so genutzt.
Perfect with the Surface Go
I’ve used wacom and s-pen products in the past, but this pen surprised me.
I’ve got this to use with a recently purchased Surface Go 2, and it feels great to draw with.
It’s super responsive, it has great pressure sensitivity and tilt, and a great battery life.
And it also snaps to the Surface Go. It charges via usb c.
It feels premium, and really enjoy holding it.
You can’t go wrong with it.
Comfy to hold and works well for digital artists!
I use a Surface Pro 7 and the program Clip Studio Paint to draw and I bought this to replace my Microsoft pen as getting nibs that fit properly and wont break within 2 months of wear was like finding a needle in a haystack. Metapen is the only pen that i’ve seen for Surface that looks and feels like an Apple Pencil, has over 4000 levels of pressure sensitivity and for a good entry price tag for new digital artists.
PROS:
– Pen is lightweight and is USB-C. Charges up pretty quick. You get accessories as well like an extra pen tip and 2 silicone covers for the USB-C slot.
– Feels solid. The pen has some weight to it but its neither too light or too heavy.
– My Surface Pro 7 recognizes this pen as if it’s a legitimate Surface pen and activates the Surface pen apps. Previous pens i’ve had before the Metapen did not prompt nor had the tablet recognize it as a “Microsoft surface pen”. Just a pen accessory.
– Pen nib is solid. If placed in correctly there’s 0 to no wobbling at all with straight lines.
– Excellent drawing pen for doing fine details in art programs like Clip Studio. Does digital inks super well.
CONS:
– Tilt control doesn’t work that well on my art program. Might be due to the sensitivity levels and the pen settings, but I will have to test more. You might need to adjust your art program’s tool sensitivity.
– The silicone covers are REALLY small and can be lost easily as they’re not attached to anything.
– Only 1 side button and it’s kind of finnicky.
Can’t comment on the battery life just yet, But after 5 hours of drawing, it still is in the green and uses no batteries, so I consider it pretty good.

funkar enkelt och bra. ngot hrt tipp s lter en del, inget strre problem fr mig men vrt att tnka p. Knappen p sidan r av ngon anledning inte lika ltt att anvnda som microsofts egna surface pen, men den r trots det funktionell.
Was very apprehensive buying this as its always a risk with Microsoft products – but I was really impressed. It worked immediately and has zero lag. My son uses it for school and its robust for him to use. He uses it on a tablet in art (so on a tilt) with no issues. It dosent have any lag and works so well. It charges very quickly (1 hour). Its lasted a whole day so far and hasnt run out of charge as yet.

Excellent customer service. I messaged the seller to confirm compatibility for my model of Spectre and they replied the same day. Whilst we were unable to confirm compatibility, they assured me I can return this if it doesn’t work as intended. Pleased to report it works perfectly with HP Spectre x360 Convertible 13-aw2xxx / HP Spectre x360 Convertible 13-aw2000.
The pen works mostly as intended, with responsive touch, palm rejection and all the other expected features. However, there are a few drawbacks.
1. There seems to be few stability features, which means the lines aren’t always consistent. Very annoying if I’m doing my work on the train.
2. I can’t seem to get the right mouse button to work consistently, and because the pen doesn’t have to pair with the computer, I can’t change what the button does. (The need to not pair with a computer for the pen to work though is very cool).
3. The eraser side of the pen doesn’t always produce consistent lines as well.
However, I do like the feel of the pen – It feels like using a real pencil – and since first charging 3 days ago and non stop use, the battery has not run out or been even close to running out. Overall, very good!
Funktioniert ohne Probleme an meinem Asus ExpertBook B5 Flip. Ich kann aber den Radierer auf der Rckseite nicht leiden. Man muss halt immer den Stift umdrehen um etwas wegzuradieren.
Habe mich deswegen fr den MetaPen M1 entschieden. Der hat zwar keine Neigungserkennung aber dafr eine Lngere Akkulaufzeit und an der Seite einen zweiten Knopf, den man als Radierer verwenden kann. Dann kann man einfach zum radieren den Knopf an der Seite dcken, was wesentlich schneller geht als den Stift umzudrehen. Auerdem ist die Stift Spitze selbstverstndlich deutlich genauer als der groe, flache Radierer auf der Rckseite des MetaPen M2.
Die Akkulaufzeit ist bei beiden (M1 und M2) wirklich sehr gut. Hlt unfassbar lange und ld sehr schnell.

La penna risulta piacevole al tatto, bella esteticamente e funzionale, il mio surface go l’ha riconosciuta automaticamente, senza bisogno di installazione. Rispetto alle concorrenti ho scelto questa per la punta che sembra avere una qualit maggiore.
Si ricarica abbastanza velocemente e la durata della batteria, per quanto riguarda il mio utilizzo (studio e internet) copre la giornata.
Consiglio l’acquisto, spendete qualcosa in pi ma cercate la qualit.
Before using this pen I was using a Lenovo Yoga with the Lenovo Active Pen 2. I’m about to go into graduate school and figured it was time to treat myself to a new computer after using the same laptop since 10th grade. This pen is absolutely incredible and I cannot stress that enough. The only advantage that the Microsoft brand pen has over this is that the Microsoft pen wirelessly charges once attached to the surface itself. However, for 1/3rd of the price, I don’t mind simply having to plug this into my computer once in a while.
To start, I absolutely love that this is a rechargeable pen that doesn’t require those stupid AAAA batteries that are difficult to find and pointless to purchase just for 1 product. Not only that, but with the Lenovo pen, I found myself changing batteries at least once every 2 or 3 months because if not, the pen would start skipping lines in OneNote (it was always skipping lines a lot, however if I didn’t replace the battery this often it would start skipping just about every other line). The laptop is supposed to tell you how much battery is left in the pen, but in my experience it never worked and always told me the battery was 100% full even after weeks or months of use. The other issue of the Lenovo pen is that the battery would constantly drain if there was any pressure being put on the tip whatsoever so every time I was done using it, I would have to unscrew the pen and flip the battery upside down to stop it from draining when the pen was in my backpack. The final issue with that pen is that for some incomprehensible reason, Lenovo decided to outsource the software to Wacom instead of building it inhouse like they did with the first pen (I was using the Lenovo active pen 2) and that software literally felt like something out of 2004. Constantly crashing, having bugs, and never working.
I have never experience a single one of those issues with this pen, and quite frankly this is one of the best products I purchased in 2022. I don’t see a single reason to pay 3x the cost of this pen for the Microsoft one when this one works just perfectly fine. Another advantage with this pen is that I don’t like how the newest Microsoft pen is short. I don’t know if it’s just me, but I really like having a full since pen/pencil when I write. So in my opinion, this is worth every single penny and there is not a single reason to to not purchase this if you have a Surface.

Es mucho ms barato que otros “de marca”; sin embargo, no tiene que envidiarle nada a muchos:
— 4096 DPI.
— Reconocimiento de inclinacin, con grosor del trazo que depende del grado (Tuve un HP MPP 2.0, de 96 y no activa la inclinacin).
— Proteccin de apoyo de palma. En este lpiz s funciona.
— Funciona perfectamente con mi HP Spectre X360 15″. Es ms, debido a su imn, se pega en varios puntos del porttil.
— Fcil de usar, pues no se resbala y es fino.
— Recarga por USB.
— Borra con la parte superior!
Toda una ganga con muy buenas prestaciones.

El botn auxiliar no sobresale del cuerpo del dispositivo. Eso hace que sea difcil de presionar. No s si se trata de mi artculo o es un defecto de fabricacin.
I’ve used an iPad Pro with an Apple Pencil for a long time and wanted something with the same kind of nib for a Vivobook Flip, rather than the Wacom-like point on others. This pen looked like a good option and it’s really surprised me, particularly at this price.
It’s very well-made with a beautifully tactile metal body and is incredibly light. It charges quickly via USB-C and the buttons (side button and eraser at the end) seem to be solidly put together. Absolutely no complaints about the pen’s speed and sensitivity— pressure and tilt seem to work well and the pen’s incredibly comfortable to hold. It’s magnetic and the slightly squared profile means it won’t roll away.
Is it better than an Apple Pencil on an iPad? I’m not completely sure but it if not then it certainly comes very, very close!
Ho riscoperto il piacere di scrivere su table
La penna comodissima, leggerissima e pratica da usare. Funziona senza nessun tipo di problema irritante (avevo penne che mentre scrivevo generavano un fastidioso effetto di “sbavatura”).
Possiedo un Surface Pro 6 del 2019 e devo ammettere che “paradossalmente” questa penna migliore dell’originale che davano in dotazione (mi riferisco alla penna del 2019 e a quella che davano con il Pro 4 qualche anno prima).
Unico dettaglio: la punta gi pre-caricata sulla penna quella “dura”, equivalente in tal senso alla 2H del ricambio originale Microsoft. Devo ancora controllare se ci sia la possibilit di avere altri tipi di punta installati in questa penna (l’attacco non identico a quello Microsoft).
P.s. il fatto di poterla caricare con cavetto usb type c rende tutto pi semplice.
Consigliata per chi non vuole impiegare risorse economiche aggiuntive nella penna originale.
