It gets 5 stars because....
I’m nightshift – 15 minutes to work on 4 days. On 5th day, I needed the lights for over 20 minutes.
I’ve not had to charge the lights in that time. To me, it gets 5 stars for that reason alone.
15.00 is about right for the price.
Great lights to have in your bike
These lights have 8 modes for the front light and 12 modes for the rear light, which can be controlled separately by two buttons on each light. The front light has 21 LEDs, including two large ones in the center, and the rear light has 16 LEDs. They are very bright and visible from a long distance. They also have different flashing patterns, which can attract more attention and increase safety. The lights are USB rechargeable, and they come with a cable that can charge both lights at the same time. The battery life is impressive, lasting up to 58 hours on the lowest mode. The lights are IP65 waterproof, which means they can withstand rain and splashes. They are also easy to install and remove, with rubber straps that fit most handlebars and seat posts. They also have a hook on the top, which can be used to hang them on a backpack or a tent. The lights are made of solid plastic, and they feel sturdy and robust. They are not too heavy or bulky, and they do not interfere with the bike’s performance.
SOLID set of lights offering UNIQUE beam settings
This pair of compact sized lights offer a variety of lighting modes to suit different scenarios be it for biking or hiking/camping.
The unique design feature is the placement of the LED light elements. Small LED’s are clustered on the circular periphery and larger ones clustered centrally.
These clusters can be controlled separately to obtain different lighting modes and also combined to achieve Maximum brightness.
No tools are needed for installing the lights as a silicone belt is used to wrap around fixing points of various diameters from seat posts, handlebars to helmets and also easily removed.
Both Front and Rear lights can be recharged simultaneously using the included USB C cable. The lights’ USB C ports are very well protected against dirt and moisture via rubber caps.
The bayonet style mounting offers 360 degrees of freedom (at 90 degrees intervals) so that the lights can be best orientated for accessing the switches.
Despite being made of plastic, these lights are quite robust and the IP65 rating is VERY relevant to the weather and road conditions here. They have been rained on as well as splashed with muddy water by passing trucks and are still going strong!
My only minor gripe:
I’m puzzled WHY the lumens (brightness) value of the Rear lights are less than the Front and not equal?
Overall these unique lights are solidly made and at the advertised price they are worthy of recommendation.
Great set of lights with multiple modes
Pair of front and rear bike lights, with mounting bracket and charging cable.
The lights charge via a usb C connection, cable included. I haven’t let them fully run down so can’t comment on the full charge time from empty but they do seem to charge quickly.
The mounting brackets use a simple silicone strap which wraps around the bike and then clips into place. The light then screws onto the bracket with a quarter turn.
The lights have two elements to them, an outer ring which is an emits a softer light and a centre cluster of LED mini lights. The outer ring can be flashing or constant where as the inner LED lights have three modes of brightness. This gives different options for day and night riding. The two elements are operated by separate buttons, which have green indicator lights showing when they in operation.
The lights are very lightweight meaning they will all little weight to your bike but also your bag when you chose to take them off and carry them round.
A good set of lights with different options.
I hope you found this review helpful.
Illuminate Your Ride Safely and Brightly
One of the standout features of these lights is the variety of modes available. This range of modes caters to different situations, from a steady beam for well-lit areas to a flashing mode for added visibility in low-light conditions. The flexibility in modes ensures I can tailor the lighting to my specific riding environment.
The ultra-bright LED lights are indeed impressive. They illuminate the path ahead brilliantly, making it easy to see and be seen by others. This added visibility adds a layer of confidence to my nighttime rides, especially on dimly lit roads.
The USB rechargeable aspect of these lights is a huge plus. It’s convenient to charge them using a USB cable, and the battery life is commendable. I can enjoy extended rides without worrying about the lights running out of power. The IP65 waterproof rating gives me peace of mind, knowing they’ll hold up in various weather conditions.
Installing these lights was a breeze. The set comes with everything needed for a secure and quick attachment to my bike. The durability of the lights and their mounts is evident, and they stay in place even during bumpy rides.
In summary, these are a fantastic addition to any cyclist’s gear. Their versatility in modes, bright illumination, rechargeable convenience, and easy installation make them a top choice for enhancing safety during night rides. Illuminate your ride with confidence and ride on!
Very bright, many modes.
The Mohard Bike Lights, [8+12 Modes & USB Rechargeable] Ultra Bright LED Bike Lights come with a set of two quick-release, elastic mounting straps, one dual USB-C charging cable, and a set of two lights(front and rear ).
The lights can be charged simultaneously from one USB-A source, thanks to a proprietary dual USB-C cable.
They are very bright and have many lighting modes to choose from.
There are two buttons on each light, so you can switch ON/OFF the inner/outer LEDs as you wish separately. Great idea for saving battery or maximizing visibility when needed.
They are quite a bit in size, bigger than I am used to but it’s not a big disadvantage, they work very well and are super bright.
This set of well-made, super-bright LED lights is well worth the money. A great set of bike lights.
Brilliant... literally
This is probably the brightest bike light I have tried so far; the 7 LEDs are quite blinding.
I love it that you can adjust brightness of the thin outer ring and the 7 dots with separate buttons, so you can have a solid and a flashing light simultaneously.
The set went on my daughter’s bike; as she often cycles along country roads, this is a great addition to her kit.
Very bright and easy to install
I was very impressed with first impressions of this light set – the rear light has two buttons to control whether you want all the LED’s on, or just the outer / inner ones. These buttons also control the brightness settings. Mounting the lights is very straight forward, with no tools need to fit them, they can also be easily unclipped from the mounting brackets when not in use.
Great lights, lightweight and brigh
Wow.. Great little lights for being seen in the daytime or at night. So many options on flashing, stable high, med or low intensity. Two seperately controlled lights in the one unit.. back or front..
Rear Light:
Two buttons on top…
One button cotrols the outer circle of LEDS and the other the centra lights.
You can use only one set of lights in the rear light unit if you want and its plenty bright enough but for added safety and visibility you should use both. You can chose so many options on one ring of lights flashing or not and or the brightness settings. Pressing the other button on the unit turns on the second set of lights in the same unit and then the fun begins as you have so many options on the flashing settings! Great rear light, love it.. I suspect once I have chosen what patern of lighting options I prefer I will simply stick with that as my go to preference! To turn off either set of LEDS in the unit press each button and hold for a few seconds. Do this with each button if you have both sets of LEDS on, to turn them off!
Front Light:
This also has two sets of independantly controlled LED in the same unit but there are not the flashing options on the front lights.
This light is extrememly bright. Both sets of LEDS can be independantly controlled by using each button seperately. The intensity of light can be changed on each set of LEDS.
I would suggest that youdo not lookdirectly into the lights as its not comfortable!
Charging the lights is easy as the lights come with a single USB Cable that has to USB C outlets to charge both lights through one cable. I like this as it means you are only taking up one USB port when charging if you are using your computer or a spare USB Plug.. A USB Plug charger is not provided but you can use your phone charger of course, or PC USB..
To attach to the bike there is a simple strap that does the job..
The lights are very lightweight and waterproof as I tested them on a ride and got caught in the rain for a good 30 mins before I got home..
Ride & Be Seen!
These two front and back Lights are an essential item for keen, or novice cyclists alike. They’re lightweight, bright, rechargeable, have numerous different light modes and have robust rubber straps to secure the lights to the front and rear of your bike. The lights just twist on and off these straps with ease and the lights are quite small in size, so will easily fit in your pockets if required. You get a supplied charging lead which has two C types leads going into a single USB connection – This means you can charge both lights at the same time – How Cool is that! The box they come in is also very nice looking and shouts out Quality. A very nice product which would make a thoughtful gift for someone. Very Happy with this product! Thank you.
Great Waterproof Bike Lights - Front Light at 500Lm is Brigh
Pros
General .
Both lights are in the same Case & same Strap, Very Good wide Straps , 19mm wide by 2.8mm thick .
The mounting point is like a Bayonet type fitting , and this fitting can be fitted at 4 different settings by
rotating the unit by 90 degrees.
( which allows better access to the “On” / “Off” Switches )
Good Size Light Lens of around 55mm Diameter .
Waterproof Good Units – IP65 Rated
( I tested the front Light , in switched on mode , in the sink at Home for 10 minutes under a slow running Tap – 5 Times the amount of water even in the worst Lancashire Rain )
Both Lights have Different Light Modes and Different Flashing Modes to extend the Battery Life.
I am sure than most people will find one they Like.
Front Light
2 Separate ( independent ) buttons which when switched on have a Green LED on them .
One Button Controls the Outer Circle of LEDs ( 18 smaller LED’s ) ( 150 lumens )
One Button Controls the Inner Circle of LEDs ( 7 larger LED’s ) ( 350 lumens )
Rear Lights
2 Separate ( independent ) buttons which when switched on have a Green LED on them .
One Button Controls the Outer Circle of LEDs ( 18 smaller LED’s ) ( 50 lumens )
One Button Controls the Inner Circle of LEDs ( 7 larger LED’s ) ( 50 lumens )
Cons / Possible Improvements
Front Light is 500 lumens which is very good, but the Rear light is only 100 lumens.
Also the Front Light is 13 grams heavier than the rear light , which i think is because the battery capacity for the front light is 1100 mah but the rear light is only 350 mah .
Why don’t they just fit the same 1100 mah Battery for both the Front & Rear Light ?
OK Instructions and are in good English but the instructions is a folded piece of paper which is
only 70mm by 50mm and not very Readable for people over 40.
Lights come in a Printed , Plain Cardboard Packing, which if given as a Birthday Present or Christmas
Present looks at first glance / first impressions a bit of a “Cheap” Present .
( But as quoted above these light units are Good Ones )
I believe the price point is a fair price at around 18, for these good waterproof lights
I hope this Helps.
Best Regards B.H.
Powerful lights, well made, lots of modes!
These are very good quality and powerful bike lights with enough modes to cycle through. I feel confident they are going to be water resistant.
They have two buttons to manage inner or outer lights. Use them together or individually. Typical light set of functions on/off, high to low beams and blinking or fade. The USB-C charging socket is plugged with a removable gasket and should remain sealed. Blinks green during charging, turns solid green after charging.
You will definitely be seen with these bright lights!
Brilliant - easy to fit, good lighting & brightness options & adjustment👍
I must say I am very impressed with these lights…
feel well made and solid
easy to attach to fixing strap
fixing strap easy to attach to frame – recommend fixing the strap to the frame first (without light attached) – and then attach the light to the strap
charging is via USB-C
comes with a double charging USB-A to 2xUSB-C cable – can charge both lights from the same cable
both red and white lights have 2 sets of lights – a group of 7 LEDs in the centre surrounded by a ring of smaller LEDs
there are 2 buttons one each light – one button to control the mode/brightness of the centre group of LEDs and one button to control the mode/brightness of the outer ring of LEDs
both inner group and out ring of LEDs are independent of each other – can have either set on as just one light or both sets on together, or one set solid and the other set flashing, both solid, both flashing.
Overall at 17.99 (September 2023), I would say that is good value – well made, feel solid and have good lighting and brightness functions.
An easy and definite 5 imho.
Awesome lights, easy to attach. Alignment issues though easy to work around.
[Summary]
I think they’re great little lights to have on the bike, honestly you need some if you cycle around a lot even if it’s just during the day I always have the rear light on low. Safety first.
[Design]
The overall design of them is pretty neat actually, I love that they just use the simple watch strap kind of attachment but the only issue with it is that if your bike’s struts are at an angle like mine, as you see the rear light faces down, and the front light faces up a good amount but you can easily rig it to face the correct direction. The addition of light modes is also perfect, I specifically use the outer rear LED’s in flashing mode and the inner ones solid, so you can definitely see me as you approach.
[Build Quality]
The build quality on them is also very good actually, great waterproofing and they feel very sturdy. They are majority made out of a solid plastic with rubber gaskets/covers to keep the charging ports and switches fully waterproofed.
[Performance]
They are very bright even during the day you will stand out with these lights on. As mentioned before the lights have various light modes from different flashing settings to adjusting the outer ring of LEDs and inner LEDs seperately, as well as dimming. I can’t give you a great battery life estimate at the moment but as it stands I’ve rode for around 4 hours from a full charge with both lights on, mainly the rear one on full brightness; and they still don’t have any indication of low batteries or such.
Robust and versatile
As the nights are drawing in at this time of year I was able to put these to the test straight away. Firstly, I was pleased at how straightforward they were to fit. No fiddling and the mount seems reassuringly secure. Secondly, the variety of lighting options means you can set them to your own preference, and quickly alter the settings for any special circumstances. Good to see the charging ports are well sealed. I haven’t taken them out in the rain yet but I wouldn’t expect any problems. Also, nice that the supplied cable lets you charge both units from a single USB socket. Overall, I get the feeling these are designed by someone who actually rides a bike. They have a useful combination of features and some thought has obviously gone in to making the design practical.
You light up my world
Fantastic lights! I am so impressed by the quality considering the reasonable price point. The lights themselves are quite large and well made. The quality gives me confidence they will probably last. Charging and operation is easy. I really like that there are two buttons so you can set the inner and outer lights independently. There’s lots of modes to cycle through ( pun intended ) and they are very bright. Highly recommend these lights. I am very happy with them.
Wow these are bright!
I needed new bike lights, and these are perfect. Brightness and mode levels are adjustable by pressing the buttons on the side of the lights. The highest level of brightness is really quite bright, which surprised me.
USB charging is easy enough via the 1 USB A lead forking to 2 USB C, which connect to the lights. They flash green until charged. Instillation on the bike, via the silicone straps, is also straightforward, and they can be mounted in numerous positions on the bike frame, as desired.
The product description says that they have a IPX65 waterproof rating, so they should fare well in the rain, although I have not used in the rain as yet, but given the excellent product quality I have no reason to believe that there would be any issue in this regard.
These are a big step up from the old type/style of bike lights with batteries, and at 17.99 represent good value.
Well designed and function set of lights
For the price these lights are superb. The selection of flash modes is very impressive and both units are quite large, so should do a great job of letting people know you’re on the road. The front is more a safety light rather than for lighting your way, so if you’re looking for something ultra bright to help you see what’s in front of you, you may want to look elsewhere.
Battery life is quite good and will vary depending on which flash mode you use, and the method for attaching them to the bike so far seems secure.
All in all a great pair of lights for a good price.
Very bright lights
Love the retro style packaging. These lights are oversized by todays standards, but boy, they’re bright.
The front light is akin to a motorcycle headlight for brightness levels and is dazzeling when viewed from the front on its maximum setting. I would suggest careful positioning would be required to prevent dazzling oncoming road users. I found it best to direct it towards the road surface slightly and not straight ahead.
Both lights have two banks of LEDs which can be independently operated via the two switches on the top of the unit.
The front light has three brightness settings for each bank of LEDs, there are no flashing modes for this. The rear light has three flashing modes and a steady mode for each bank of LEDs. This is great because you can have the centre bank on the steady light setting and the outer bank flashing (or any other combination to suit).
The lights are secured by quick release mounting brackets on a wide rubber band. There is no pitch adjustment within the bracket itself.
Charging is via the the supplied USBc charging leads (charger not supplied) and the lights were fully charged in just under a couple of hours.
All in all, a very good, and very visible bike light. The larger size might not to be everyones taste, but, if the purpose of your bike lights is to see and be seen, then these lights certainly tick every box.

Bike lights
Very good quality product perfect for my sons bike now the dark nights are here they are very bright and very easy to fit to the bike as and when he needs them the battery life is way better than I had expected and its great that they have own built in battery I definitely recommend this product very good value for money and very good quality
So many lighting variations.
Substantial well made lights with a good selection of lighting modes comes with a handy double usb C cable .
Silicon attaching band .
Only cause for concern is the T shape attaching bit ,which appears strong ,but vulnerable .but in general a very impressive set up .
Great design. Very usable.
This is a wonderful pair of lights that are very easy to spot and I think are better than many other lights because of it.
The lights have a twist fitting to attach themselves to a silicone rubber strap, so can be positioned on any vertical or horizontal tube or loop, and are easily removed when you leave the bike. You get a twin USB-C to single USB-A charging lead, so both can be charged from one USB output.
The case of the lights is well made, the USB charging port well covered and everything sealed nicely. There are two buttons on both, one for the outer ring, the other for the inner 7 LEDs.
On the front light you have three power levels to select for the inner and outer rings. They work independently and allow different brightness’s, the inner being more a tight beam, the outer wider angle visible more from the sides.
Similarly there are two buttons on the rear light, but this time you have three steady brightness’s or different flashing modes. They work independently again, so you can have a steady light (to conform to UK law) and a flashing one to attract attention more, all in the same unit. The flashing one can be brighter but still use less power than the steady one, so you’ve lots of different scenarios to choose from.
A short press turns them on and cycles through the modes, long press turns them off. They remember the last setting to you don’t need to hunt through them to get the right one.
The front beam isn’t the brightest but will get you seen at night. The back certainly will attract attention. Battery life seems to run into hours, so good enough for a full day cycling in the dusk/dark there and back from work, etc.
Great value for two-in-one style lights.
Bright!
There are many different mode options, and the lights do well in the rain. The charge lasts for a reasonable amount of time, and the lights mount to the bike reasonably easily with a silicone strap included. Recommend.
Fantastic high quality product.
These bike lights are some of the best I’ve tried and tested… Fun the durable solid build quality to the materials used from the housing to the LED light design and functions…. You can’t go wrong with these… Also the method to attach them to your bike is secure and reliable so as not to fall off….
Simple to charge up and fantastic battery life and light modes….
Easily comparable to much more expensive brands….
Pretty good, keeps you visible - Mohard Bike Lights, [8+12 Modes & USB Rechargeable]
What I like about these is that each one has two sets of LEDs in them; a centre array plus outer ring. Each set has its own button too which means you can operate them separately, eg the front light I switch the centre lights on bright to give a beam to see the ground ahead, and the outer ring set to flashing mode to keep me more visible to other road users.
I do similar with the rear red light too, it means there’s every chance that others will see you.
Easy to mount, each has one of those elastic stretchy things holding a mount clip. You then push the light onto it and turn it to click it in place. With all lights of this type you perhaps have to be careful you don’t knock them as it can be easy to dislodge it from the mount, but all’s good if you don’t abuse them.
Comes with a USB lead to charge them, so no need to keep swapping batteries.
Brightness is good on high level too, meaning you can see where you’re going with the front light.
Overall a pretty good set of bike lights.
