Exstra sockets
Does what it says on the box. Put one in the kitchen and one in the hall always good to have an exstra socket to plug into. Only draw back if you plug in a large plug you lose one of the sockets
Best Desig
The first thing to say is that if you have an existing double socket then out of all these multi-plug & USB adapters this one has the best design in terms of keeping the other socket as accessible as possible. I spent ages looking at all the others especially those with users photos as they are much more reliable than the drawings & diagrams that some of the sellers use. There was one where the sellers picture clearly showed that you could fit another standard 13A plug alongside it but somebody’s actual photo showed there just wasn’t room – ah how some sellers love Photoshop & AI !
The user reviews & photos/videos are a huge + for Amazon IMO.
To get back to this socket, I can confirm that you can definitely get a 13A plug next to it.
However, all is not necessarily sweetness & light. When I first found this type of adaptor, sadly I was quite excited as we have a double socket in our kitchen which looks like a scambled mess of adaptors/plugs & USB power supplies and this product promised to improve the look dramatically. To some extent it does but in reality all you are doing is replacing one lot of ugly white plastic with another and you still have all the plugs & wires going off to your lights/appliances on show meaning the overall look is not a million miles away from what it was originally. The USB sockets are the only genuine win as they reduce the number of plugs by one whilst still allowing for 2 more USB wires. Another bit of a downside is that the adaptor wobbles a bit as it has the weight of two plugs hanging off one plug. This will not be an issue if you are not pulling the plugs out all the time & rely on the switches on your attached lights/appliances.
Overall though it is a worthwhile buy – just don’t expect miracles (and whatever you do, don’t buy one of the other designs that turns one socket into three but at the same time makes the second original socket unusable – if that happened to me I would not be happy !)

The Mscien Plug Extension turns one wall socket into three. It also has three USB ports, so you can charge your devices without having to take up a three pin socket with a charger.
The plug extension is compact and lightweight, and easy to use. Simply plug the plug extension into a wall socket and then plug your devices into the plug extension.
The plug extension has no power switches, so you can’t turn off the power to individual outputs. This would have been a nice feature to include.
The plug extension claims to have surge protection, which can help to protect your devices from power surges. Useful if you live in an area with frequent power outages.
It can be difficult to plug in certain plugs/adaptors in the empty socket next to this extension, especially if used in an extension block as the sockets are closer together than wall sockets.
It has solved a lot of clutter under my table replacing three plug-in chargers by plugging straight into the unit’s USB and adding two additional sockets. (one of the three sockets is a direct replacement for the socket the unit is plugged into, meaning in effect only two additional sockets.
A good solution to a messy problem.
Clever compact desig
I was attracted to this due to the compact design, combining 3 sockets with 3 USB charging ports. The design is such that it does not hinder use of the adjacent socket in a dual socket wall plate.
It will be particularly useful to take when travelling, especially overseas when paired with the appropriate travel adapter.
My only gripe is that there’s no USB C port. This would have been a terrific addition.
