Bought this on Black Friday week so managed to buy it for 600. To note, I bought this laptop for gaming, nothing high spec but just needed decent RAM and a dedicated graphics card.

    – Firstly, performance-wise, this laptop is exceptional given the price. I couldn’t find any other laptops with NVIDIA graphics card, 16GB RAM for anywhere near the price.
    – Its pretty light and sleek, keyboard and mousepad decent.
    – Screen display is very vibrant and looks great.

    Some notable cons:

    – The speakers are terrible, even when it’s up full blast its quieter than an iPhone.
    – The laptop can get verrry hot if you’re using it for gaming. Recently I touched a surface just about the keyboard and it was scolding hot.

I’ve only had the laptop for a couple of weeks but I can’t really complain this far. Would recommend if the price goes below 700.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersSleek design with a robust construction. The laptop feels very well built with little flex in the body/chassis/keyboard/etc. Great specs – especially considering the price! Performance is really good – apps load really fast, and the laptop boots to the desktop fairly quickly.

The hinge is designed perfectly – you can open it with one hand (without the laptop lifting off the desk) but the screen then doesn’t wobble/fall in use (which is often the case for laptops with one handed opening). The hinge lifts the keyboard up to a comfortable, ergonomic angle when opened and allows for the screen to lay completely flat (180 degrees to the keyboard) if you so choose.

I achieve 4-5 hours from the battery depending on environmental factors. If you’ve done your homework and read/watched other reviews, be careful not to confuse this latest model (with the 12th generation processors) with reviews of the older models of this laptop (which looks and is named nearly identically), the majority of the flaws/complaints from these reviews have been resolved (see below) in this, the later model. For example, this, the newer model has a bigger battery and a brighter, 16:10 ratio screen (common complaints on the previous model(s).

Only down side so far is the fan – which is a little on the loud side but this is only noticeable in very quiet environments and is perhaps more noticeable to me as I’m upgrading to this from a fanless laptop.

Overall for 599 (as reviewed) I really don’t think there are any better alternatives on the market for quality and specs and I’m a very fussy and demanding under of IT – I’m fully satisfied and suitably impressed.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersLaptop overall feels very good quality.I use this is my secondary computer

    -Display-
The display itself is a 60hz IPS like display, meaning you get very good deep colours. Great for content creation or movie viewing.
The speakers are okay for the price, not the best but not the worst.

    -Power-
With the i5 1240p & the (40w) RTX 3050, it is a very capable entry level gaming laptop. Games such as battlefield 2043 on medium/high settings @ 1080p was almost constant 60fps. As this is a laptop that I use for video editing, I was a bit concerned with the limit of the 8 GB of ram, however for small to medium projects on software like premier pro, it works fantastic, I think the higher than average speeds of the ram help this massively.

    -General computing-
For general computing this is absolutely perfect, very snappy and quick, great for YouTube watching, web browsing and general file viewing

    -ports-
With USB C and USB A, you get best of both worlds. Charing through type C is easy and convenient.

    -battery-
I do think they stretch the truth a little with the battery life, but I do think you could get 7-8 hours of use out of one charge.

Overall for the price, this laptop is very impressive for its thin and seamless design.
