Nice set but doesn’t include all gemstones listed. My daughter was most excited about the geodes and amethyst and neither were in the set. Disappointing as she enjoyed the activity

My 7 year old son absolutely loved this! Great fun and educational too. Just a shame it’s a one time only experience (you’re left with a huge pile of dirt once the digging is done) but still worth getting for any aspiring little archaeologists out there 🙂

Gave this to my 8 year old grandson, who is very keen on gemstones and rocks generally. He loved digging the gems out, and the fact that it took quite some effort made it so much better than just giving him the rocks directly. It does make quite a mess, so put down some protective newspaper etc before starting. He also liked the information on each that came with the kit. Excellent choice for the right person.

I bought this for my 6 year nephew and he absolutely loved it, it was the most popular Christmas present by far! It is easy to use and the tools are great…..only problem was it was 4 gems short and obviously it would be the Aventurine which was the only one he wanted.

Very substantial digging set, it was very thick and kept him busy for quite a while. my 8yo loves these and this one gave him a new challenge. This didn’t make too much mess and he was thrilled to find 15 real gems and stones in there. The booklet that provides information on each gem and stone was informative and this proved to be a fun and educational activity. We have bought a little clear storage case to keep them in and he often goes back to them. Excellent value for money.

I absolutely loved this kit! Couldn’t have been happier with it.
I hadn’t done anything like before and I’m bedbound sadly at the mo due to poor health so doing this gave me something to get stuck into.
The fun of digging new bits and finding the tiniest bit of a gemstone was just amazing! I loved the gemstones once I’d washed and dried them and they’ve jump-started my love for gemstone etc so thank you!!
I’ll no doubt be getting into another of these soon….you just want to keep going when you’re finished…plus, more gemstones…never a bad thing! 😉

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersI was slightly disappointed when me and my son sat down together to do this. I thought it was very small for the amount of money; however, my son loved it and actually, it was quite fun to dig out the gems with him. But be prepared for A LOT of mess when doing this. It comes with a booklet explaining what the gems are. My son was over the moon. Took them to school the next day and showed them to his class. And now he wants more! He said it’s one of his favourite things to do, so if he’s happy, then I’m happy! Although, there was suppose to be 15 gems and there were only 14; I literally broke apart the whole thing looking for it and it was the best one as well, so that was annoying. The geodes don’t look as nice as in the booklet, either; very small and not so sparkly or colourful. So I have mixed feelings about this.
