Purchased for a kitten we are adopting, however once I turned it on for our senior cat to test it he didn’t want to leave so we will be buying a second!
The pad doesn’t get too hot and the small size was suitable for my small cat. It works well placed underneath a blanket and is quite nice for me to sit on too!
It is simple to work – just turn on at the wall – and the wire is very cat-proofed.
Delivery and quality
My order arrived in time and was as described – I have purchased this product before so know it is good value and good quality. Pleased with my purchase and my little pup is too.
I have only had a month or so, so can’t comment on the longevity of the product, but so far I am really impressed.
It’s very economical, and we have had it plugged in and on all the time without any issues or crazy bills.
We’ve put it in the cat’s tower with a small blanket on top for comfort and she loves it and spends hours snoozing there every day. It’s gentle heat but very cosy.
I am very pleased to have this in place for the winter – our house in chilly Scotland can feel quite cold.
I purchased the small constant heat mat and attached a timer on to it. In the winter I had this dining on every hour for 30 minutes from 18.00hr until 06.00 hrs and just recently as the weather is warming up have it in the same time period for 15 minutes every hour. My 2 year old cat absolutely loves this. It’s the best thing I have ever purchased for her. It’s so snuggly and warm she can’t wait to get in to her bed and the heater on. I highly recommend x
Bought this for our elderly cat as I was concerned she was getting cold at night in our utility room. So built her a purpose built cabinet with space for this heat pad.
I hear you say she is spoilt and you’re right especially as I didn’t even know whether she would use it. But to my amazement she loves it and wouldn’t come out if it wasn’t for her breakfast! Buy one your cat won’t be disappointed.
Great idea and keeps my cat warm
The heated blanket is a wonderful idea for my cat. Keeping her lovely toasty warm and it’s cheap to run. I have not noticed a significant increase in my electric bill since purchasing this heated pad
My fussy cat loves this
My cat has been given many items over the years which mostly get ignored. Not so this one (a Christmas present) which is well used & therefore clearly loved by my cat. An improvement I would like to see for the next generation of product would be to have an on/off switch activated by the pressure of the cat lying on the pad. On the current version you have to remember to unplug the mat when she is not using it, otherwise its a waste of electricity.
I bought this for my elderly cat and she loves it. She curls up in her igloo for hours. I have it on a timer so it’s on for 15 minutes then off for 30, repeated all day and night, so she doesn’t over heat. The pad has a nice gentle warmth but she gets a bit over heated if it’s on for hours at a time. I’m really pleased I got it for her.

Perfect product for my elderly ca
I use the heated sleeping pad underneath my cat’s fluffy bed and she loves it. It heats through gently when she lays in her bed and definitely helps her sleep. She’s elderly and has arthritis and weight loss, and this is the perfect product to bring her a bit of comfort and happiness.
This product is excellent value for money.
My cat loves i
Good size – I’d say my cat is medium sized about 5kg. Took her a while to work it out but now loves it. It’s warm to touch but not red hot so she lounges all day. Comes with two choices of covers (grey and brown) which unzip and can clean easily.
Cats love it in the cold
I have Two cats an old one with arthritis that cry’s at night and a younger cat.
I think that during the cold snap we just have it was because he was cold. This helped the cat sleep through the night. The cats now fight for this warmth so i will have to buy another! I bought this one as i wanted a uk spec one for safety reasons. This comes with two sleeves so you can wash one while the cats on the other. This needs to be done as the cats don’t like it being smelly. I would recommend this item
I was quite sceptical about how warm this would get, I bought this so I could use a smart plug to control rather than the one I had that came with a timer and heat control pad. I put it in my cats bed which fits perfectly, the previous one didn’t and within 10 mins was toasty warm. I’m a bit concerned my kitten might get too warm but she does lay in front of the fire and we have to move her away so maybe not. At 20w it’s 1p per hour so 24p a day if you’re leaving it on all the time this is a bargain longterm cost wise. I had the smallest size just so it fit in the cat bed, would definitely recommend to anyone with a small puppy or kittens, although would be OK for grown cats as long as they aren’t a big breed.
My cat Missy has been using my dreamland heated blanket for most of the year but I started to get cold. I wanted my heated blanket back. So I got her this heating pad. As soon as it was out in place she was on it, all loafed up. Very happy.
I don’t heat the kitchen-living room to save electricity/gas bills, and can’t let my cat sleep with me in the bedroom because he destroys things (don’t ask).
So for winter, I got the small-size pet heating pad for my cat, as it perfectly fits his “Duktig” IKEA pine cat bed (sold as a doll bed) which I keep beside the computer desk by a floor-to-ceiling window. The heating pad arrived yesterday afternoon.
As soon as I put it on the cat bed and covered it with his little bedspread, kitty tested the chew-proof cord by chewing on it. It is indeed, cat proof .
Then he sat on the bed and looked down at the pad, washed himself, cautiously lay down on it; where he stayed 3 hrs straight, curled up in a ball.
Then I moved it over to the IKEA Poang chair where he spends the night. I put it up against the back, under the plush throw I keep on the chair. Kitty migrated there close to bed-time, and sprawled across the chair full length, with the pad warming his back and side. When I turned out the lights to go to the bedroom downstairs, he was asleep bonelessly on his back with hind feet against the chair back facing west, and the front half of his body facing east, with a look of bliss on his face.
When I wanted to sit in the chair to read a book earlier today, I had first to move the heating pad to the cat-bed so he would surrender the chair.
According to the cat, this thing is pleasure on steroids. Now I don’t feel guilty leaving him up here at night with no heating.
My only criticism is that both plush zipper covers are in dark colours.
Suggested Improvement: There should be a dark one and a light one (cream or beige?), as my entirely white cat (he’s not called “White Supremacist Cat” for nothing) will leave both covers coated with white hair.
Bought this for my cats bed as it’s small and a perfect fit, it keeps her warm on the cool nights as we won’t be having heating on as much this year. It’s a constant warmth. When she gets out of her bed she feels so warm. She just loves it and I am happy knowing she isn’t cold through the night. Definitely a good buy.
Very well constructed, wipe-clean surface plus two washable covers. The cable is strong and well-protected. I sliced a slit in the back of my cat igloo with a Stanley knife to push the plug through, as the instructions state the cable shouldn’t come out where the cat goes in. My 18 year old cat loves it and stays there all night without a sound. (He was previously often very loud at inconvenient hours of the night). Excellent product which I would highly recommend.
The mat works perfectly well, and is very easy to set up. We installed it inside a felt cube that our cat likes to sleep in, as we were worried about him being cold at night, and snipped a hole in the back of the cube so that the cable could stay hidden. Our cat likes to chew cables but has so far shown no interest in the mat cable, and we’ve had the mat for about a month now, so that’s good! I like that there are changeable covers, though I’m not keen on the brown cover so we just use the grey one. The cat sleeps for short periods in the cube, but I think he maybe gets too warm and that’s why he doesn’t spend longer sleeping in there. Still, I prefer that to worrying about him being too cold! I would recommend this product.
Ok, this is not the review you might need but could be useful to someone! Like most pet owners, I want to do as much as possible to keep my cat comfy. If I was a cat, I would want this product. However, she is just not interested in it, even when I put her blanket on top. Positively suspicious of anything that suggests I’m doing something nice for her. Cats can be like that. She may change her mind if it gets colder I guess.
However. I LOVE this! I have wedged it into the cover on the back of our spare room futon where I sometimes sit and read or sew and it is so gently warm and comforting on my back! If the cat wants it back, there’s going to be a fight, that’s for sure.
Can thoroughly recommend this for anyone with backaches, or someone with a cat that isn’t as weird as mine.
The only thing I think would have been really useful would be if there was a switch to turn it on and off instead of just unplugging it but otherwise it is a good product. Heats up evenly and just enough for my elderly cat. The cord is thick and good quality.
Used for an exterior cat shelter (rainproof) which my neighbour’s elderly tabby cat loves. Tabby adored this over the cold winter months, and practically lived in her shelter (we have lovely neighbours, they don’t mind a mad person building a cat shelter, she’s not allowed in their house).
The heat amount is – simply – perfect! Covered with one layer of a thin fleecy throw, then two layers some months later for comfort. It’s soft, but a couple of fleece layers are better. Naturally the heat takes time to flow through the layers so when testing hold your hand on it for 30 seconds or so, then it’s practically the same heat as without a fleece (thermodynamics, the heat will eventually get out, it will just take longer and so feel a little cooler than without a covering). Left on 24/7 for several months and haven’t noticed any sudden demands from the electric company. We did work out the operating cost and it was something like 30 pounds a year, if you had it on a full 12 months.
Cable length is good too, something like 2 meters if I recall. It’s sturdy with a white plastic coiled covering.
You *can* use the heat pad outside but naturally make sure the cable is shielded from sun UV damage (we wrapped in another coiled plastic cable from eBay), the electricity fixtures are properly waterproof and have safety cut offs, water can’t run down the cable to the mat and so on). So as long as the mat never gets rained on, it’s perfectly safe – get a good handy person to set this up for you if in doubt, or have an electrician double-check it, naturally.
Dear 14 year old Tabby has survived rain, hail and snow in her outside shelter all winter on this mat. Very well made product, absolutely delighted with it.
My cat finally found happiness
This was one of my best purchases for my cat. He has a mediterranean soul and loves the sun. Since we live in a North/South face apartment he rarely founds a spot where a little sun comes in so he could have some nice sunbathe. Since this heated bed arrived he doesn’t care about the sun anymore. He uses this like 14hours a day, and even is there is an earthquake he just sleeps there and chill. It has just the right heat, it doesn’t overheat, just enough for the cat to feel that little extra warmth. It is on day and night without any issue. I am truly happy and If my cat would talk he would give 10stars.
I never write reviews BUT I had to! My cat is a 20yr old, never had taken to a bed or blanket. when I met my husband 14 years ago he couldn’t believe my poor cat didn’t have a bed! So he’d buy them for her and I’d say don’t bother she won’t use them! She never did. But she’s tiny and lately I’ve noticed her shivering! Trembling! Vet said she’s on perfect health and couldn’t believe her age. So I ordered this heated mat last week, it took a bit of encouragement to get her on it but now she won’t get off! When I get in the night I have a sneak peek at her ands she’s curled up on it! She’s really taken to it and I’m so happy I don’t have to worry about her shivering anymore! She’s always got a source of warmth! It’s a 10/10 from Binx and Us! X
I bought this for my elderly cat Pumpkin, to help with her arthritis. I wasn’t sure if she would go for it, but as you can see she loves it! It took 24 hours before she slept on it. This is the small size. It seems really good quality, and comes with 2 covers, brown and grey. The temperature feels similar to a hot water bottle with a cover on. Not too hot to touch, but once you put you hand (or face in my case!) on it for a minute or so,bit feels lovely and cosy. It takes 30 minutes to reach optimal temperature. I highly recommend it.
Be warned, your precious little kitty will love this! Sadly, she’ll love it more than she loves you 🙁 I bought this for her as we live in a fairly old house and when we’re both at work/at night it can get quite cold and we would often come home to find her curled up under our duvet or in some other warm hidy hole, now she’s never anywhere else she absolutely adores it!
On another note the pad comes with two covers so you can wash one and your fur baby doesnt have to go without, its fully surge protected and flame retardant- we currently have ours linked to a smart plug and have it turn on and off with a timer so that it’s on overnight to give her a warm place to sleep.
