Easy to install, durable, looks good
The installation was easier than expected. On my previous steam deck I had a skin that came in one piece and bubbled and clumped and just looked cheap. This one is done in sections and applies with a lot less hassle.
It also comes with 2 sets of the decal (possibly in case you screw up). I was able to put one set on the deck directly and another on the case which is an added bonus.
Amazing looking and easy to apply
Ready to along and amazing looking. The only bit I struggled with is the top of the deck with the vent holes due to it kept getting stretched when trying to take it on the paper. I even suck the bit that is in place of the screen on top of my desktop case
Fits and perfectly.
This item fits perfectly. You can tell this version has been checked as 1mm cuts at the bottom allow the decal to fit perfectly. I heated the decal after fitting with a hair dryer at max for 2 mins and so far the corners haven’t peeled up. There was enough material left over to fit on my Spigen case. Perfect.
Not bad, but not perfec
The skin fits well on almost all areas, only the bezels above and below the sccreen are not perfect and apear to be lifting. Just aswell it comes with two in a pack as I don’t believe it will last a very long time but probably long enough to be worth what I paid.
As expected
cut outs on the vinyl was perfect and 2 included in the package incase of needing to reapply at a later date. Very happy with quality for price and so much cheaper than dBrand. would definately use agai
Great ski
I think for the price this is a great value skin. Quite easy to apply following the Instructions. Using a hair dryer really helps. Personally i think the steam deck feels better in the hands now.
Brilliant Skin for Steam Deck
I was a bit worried that I would struggle to apply the skin but it was actually fairly easy to do. Follow the video and use the mrs hairdryer, take your time and you will be fine. Love the way it transforms the look of the deck. Also if you do go wrong they supply a spare in the pack, not sure on the longevity of the product as I have only just installed it but have no reason to believe it won’t last and I have a spare anyway. Really happy thank you.
It is looking amazing on, and it is not hard to put the skin on. I would not recommend to do it alone, it is good if there is someone near you and can give you a helping hand if needed. I did not put the button skin on, it was my personal reference
Better than I expected
Took a bit of gamble on this, I thought, based on some of the reviews and ordered the ‘Tear Down’ set. I’ve only tried one set of skins before from a company that only sells through their own website in the UK and is 3 times the price. The application in that case was a disaster and I never ended up using.
I only used the front section of this (around button and sticks) as I use a case. The ‘kit’ is fairly minimal (X2 of the vinyls and some wipes, no instructions). That said, the vinyl is decent – accurately cut, colours are all there, image is not blurry or low-res and a nice matte finish.
It went on ok, the vinyl didn’t really stretch despite repositioning a couple of times and a blast from the hair-dryer sealed the deal.
For just the front, I don’t think I could have done any better for the money.
