We love reading the very Hungry caterpillar book, my youngest knows it off by heart.
My sister is currently pregnant with her first child, so we have decided to make a baby hamper based around the very hungry caterpillar so this was the prefect gift to include.
All new borns need a first soft toy, this one is so cute, unisex, decent size, so soft, so colourful and such high quality.
Offers so many functions all in one toy from different textures, different colours everything a young child could dream off.
Adorable plush
This plush is absolutely adorable and is based on the characters from the Very Hungry Caterpillar.
The plush is a good size so it isn’t too long for little ones. It is made up on multiple colours and the colours are nice and bright too.
The plush is very soft to touch but still film and has really lovely details on it. The character is one I grew up with and I’m so happy to shear this with our little one.

The Rainbow Designs Tiny & Very Hungry Caterpillar My First Soft Toy is so soft and very cute.
At 25cm it is smaller than I was expecting it to be but it’s still big enough to cuddle, especially for babies and toddlers.
I love the design of the caterpillar as it has all of the characteristics of the classic character in the story but with some fun aspects like the rainbows which give it a nice touch.
Whilst it has a few textures due to the way the toy is made it doesn’t have as many as I’d have liked. I think this toy would’ve been ideal to add a rattle or some scrunching sound to enhance babies play but it doesn’t and is simply a soft toy.
Nevertheless this is an adorable toy and it is perfect for little fans of The Very Hungry Caterpillar story. I’m very pleased with this toy and the fantastic quality Rainbow Designs products provide.
Classic caterpilla
Who doesn’t live this story. It invokes such lovely childhood memories and my son to be granddaughter is going to love this. I have got the book to go with it and plan on knitting a little outfit too.
The plushie is well made and a perfect size for a cuddly toy. The colours are bright and lovely.

The caterpillar toy is not small in size and I like its design.
It is made in colours that are great for the baby and the toy is great for snuggling.
The material of the toy is soft and the toy can be a great gift.
I washed it on low temperature and everything is fine with the material after washing.

Suitable from birth, this is a lovely ‘rainbow’ version of the very hungry caterpillar.
Super soft and cuddly, small sized for little hands, with different textured fabrics to feel and a rainbow coloured, bumpy back.

This is really lovely, but the original design of the Very Hungry Caterpillar from the book is 3.00 cheaper, so I think this is a little too expensive. I suppose you have to weigh up whether you like this one with the rainbow styling or the original!
Nicely made, very soft, just comes down to price and personal preference. Would make a good new baby gift. I will leave the decision up to you! If this helps any, the same supplier also does a comforter in this style, so if you want a slightly larger gift, but not the book yet, then you might plump for this one instead.

The very hungry caterpillar has lots of colourful aspects to its pretty unique design and in addition has a lots of different elements to the textures of the toy too, which makes a great little toy.
It’s very well made, is super soft and suitable for lots of snuggling and certainly comes super recommended for anyone looking for a very hungry caterpillar toy.
