We have supported ex-Servicemen to find work after leaving the Armed Forces for 100 years.

The first four years of the British Legion’s existence coincided with the economic hangover from the First World War. It was a time of mass unemployment with 2 million people out of work (out of a population of 42 million) in 1921.

These little pins are a great way to show your support for those who fell in battle and help those who returned.
I now collect one a year (you can also get them without a year) rather than the throw-away paper and plastic ones.
They pierce through fabric without leaving any major sign when removed (best through jumpers and looser weaves) and a clutch grip on the inside keeps in place – no more losing the pin or it falling out.
They make a nice collector piece too to put on a strap or other display which you can use year after year.

I buy one every year to wear and show my respect. It’s good quality and I like that they put the year on as it ensures I buy a new one each year!

Thank you to all those who fought so that me, my children, and my grandchildren could enjoy the freedom you won for us. This pin was great quality, and perfect for smart work attire.

I like this poppy as the date matches the current year, and expands my collection of these year dated lapel pins. I could probably get one cheaper from a local poppy seller, I’ll buy a paper one anyway, but I dont think 5 is a bad contribution for all the good work the RBL does. I would recommend them wholeheartedly.
