This vibration dampener was nicely packaged with clear instructions and a hex wrench to install it.
I used the size larger to remove the quad-lock mechanism. Then, there is a hidden screw to mount the dampener to the base. Use the supplied hex key and then re-install the quad lock mechanism. It helps
reduce vibration with small rubber struts between the outer pieces. Like a rubber sandwich.
It looks similar in structure to the ones supplied by quad lock. My “quad” device is a knock off and it fit well.
I use an older iPhone and now, I may mount my newer phone too.
I haven’t tested it for anything other than fit and finish. It seems as good as any of the more expensive ones.
Many times, the brand names are made by the same factory and they just charge more.
I have read several forums online about these types of vibration dampeners and I would still exercise some caution. It does place the phone a little closer to my face. I may adjust the base.
My riding is pretty tame and my bikes are not vibration blasters.
Thank You for another nice product.

    Easy Install

Equivalent performance as competitors for less money. The vibration readings when in use seems to be about the same when compared to other motorcycle anti-vibration solutions. That is not to say the unit actually reduces the vibrations to any large extent. Still, better to have some damping then none.

After using a bare quad lock mount on my GTR1400 handlebar and finding that the vibration had destroyed the camera image stabilisation mechanism I was a bit apprehensive about trying it again, but I needed to use my phone for directions at short notice so I took a chance on this vibration damper instead of the official quad lock damper.

I now find myself mounting my phone to the bike for most journeys, and I’ve had no repeat of the damage to my phone camera.
