USB C to Ethernet Adapter, USB 3.0 to RJ45, 1Gbps Gigabit
USB C to Ethernet Adapter, USB 3.0 to RJ45, 1Gbps Gigabit Ethernet to Wired Network, RJ45 to USBC, Type C Thunderbolt 3 LAN Network Adaptor for Windows7/8/10/XP/Vista/Mac/MacBook/iPad Pro/Air and more
Simply plug and play! Whether you require USB or USB C this adapter will do the job. Simply plug it into any available port to quickly gain a 1Gbps ethernet port. The adapter was automatically detected and installed as a “Realtek USB GbE Family Controller” with no user intervention on Windows 10. The build of the adapter is standard, an aluminium case and short lead. The USB C to USB adapter is handy but do base in mind that is you are using it does protrude quite a bit! Apart from that is does the job it is advertised for well.
No setup required. Plugged it in with the attached USB-C to USB3 adaptor and nothing was manually needed, it just worked, and speeds were Gbps. Tried without the adaptor and it was also fine. Ideal for when there is no ethernet socket or WiFi option.
My LG Gram laptop has a full size HDMI port, but not a network RJ45 socket. Ordered this dongle to bridge the gap and it works perfectly. No drivers required for my Windows 10 machine and the speed of connection was as expected around the gigabit mark on a local file transfer. A great addition to my travel bag.
This Ethernet adapter worked well with my laptop. It very usefully has both USB A and C connectors. It isn’t especially fast but it works reliably. With the integral port I got 270 Mbps and with this adapter I got about 170 Mbps.
I needed this to use with my laptop which only has USB C. It maxes out my internet connection which means this does exactly what it is required too and I am very happy.
It comes with the usual connection and data transfer lights built into the ethernet port, and it has a solid metal and plastic build, so I don’t mind chucking it in my bag.
The USB adapter works as advertised, no problem with the advertised gigabit transfer speeds over USB A or C. It was also plug and play on the Windows device tested, with no need for additional drivers.
The inclusion of the USB A and USB C connection options makes it very versatile, allowing for maximum compatibility with devices, regardless of the USB port options available.
Build quality is good too, with a metal and plastic construction for the body, cable is of decent quality too.
The generic photos shown on the product page do not show Oliveria branding on the device, which – in my opinion – does detract from it’s otherwise clean professional aesthetic.
