As the machine I was trying to fix had a damaged port. The device was tested on other machines and it worked absolutely fine. Small and great value.
An excellent way a wired Ethernet connectio
This adapter works well to enable a wired Ethernet connection on devices that do not have that facility. Some Android builds on phones do not ptovide a way of setting up an Ethernet connection in the network settings.
Great item - works perfectly
Internet was mega slow at work using wifi and I have a chromebook with no Ethernet port so gave this a go. Works prefectly and I get a great speed now. Great product. Thanks 🙂
Worked brilliant.
Laptop had no ethernet port so this was my solution, it works absolutely fine for working and gaming, fairly sturdy even the thinner bit of cable is decently sturdy. No issues with this product as it has worked fine for me.
Good produc
Works great, looks good, the adaptor from usb a to c is a nice touch and doesn’t really affect speed and is cheap so I’m very happy, build quality is good
Great for newer laptops with no ethernet po
My new laptop didn’t have an ethernet port so I purchased this to add this functionality via the USB-C port. The interface was detected immediately and no configuration was required on my part. The network speed is fast and stable. Overall, I’m very happy with this purchase
Works without additional drivers on Window 10 and 11. Doesn't work on Windows 7
Nothing much more to say. Handy nowadays being USB 3 and Usb C.
Useful if the network card in a laptop or pc doesn’t work or you don’t have drivers for i
Good quality unit but not for Chromecas
Unfortunately had to return this item as it is not compatible with the Chromecast with Google TV. The CC thinks it is not plugged into the mains. Hence have had to order an ethernet plug direct from Google at double the cost.
All USB 3.0s
This Multiport Hub was tested and it’s confirmed that all three ports are USB 3.0 and in a test, it achieved up to 380Mb/s READ and 480Mb/s WRITE speed. And the build quality is also pretty good, it’s aluminium
Supports fast Interne
The product hit my routers maximum speed of 340Mbps, super fast.
USB C was useful to connect to my laptop as it did not have an ethernet port and my peripherals (mouse and keyboard) used all my USB-A slots.
Works out of the box on MacOS
It works as expected out of the box on MacOS Sonoma.
The USB A sockets are USB3.0 and I’m getting about 230MB/s write speeds to a Samsung T7 SSD vs 270MB/s when writing to the disk directly.
It negotiates a gigabit connection with my ethernet switch without any issues.
The construction feels like metal, and it’s nice and compact so it’ll slip easily into your laptop bag. It’s also handy that it has a USB-A adapter attached to the cable, so you won’t lose it if you need to use it on a machine without USB-C support.
The price of 11.99 is about what I guessed it would be, and I think it’s a fair price for the unit.
Works on Raspberry Pi
Feels pleasantly well made. Works on Raspian (Debian) on a Raspberry Pi (3B) as well as an Ubuntu derivative (again Debian) laptop very nicely. Plug it in, and a new ethX device appears immediately in network manager and soon you can use you Pi as a router etc.
A five Star item as it does everything it should without any issues at all.
This Ethernet adaptor comes in a clean, smooth silver alloy finish and connected to it by a short 12cm cable are a USB C plug and a USB C to USB A adaptor so you have the options to connect either to a USB C or a USB A port on your computer. A nice touch is that the USB C to USB A adaptor is attached to the cable so it doesn’t get misplaced.
The Ethernet adaptor simply plugs into your computer’s USB port and Windows 10 instantly recognises it. Then plug a CAT 5 or CAT 6 cable into the adaptor socket and then the other end of the CAT cable into the back of your router. Internet access is then available at what I found to be much faster and reliable connection speed than using WiFi.
Also built into the Ethernet adaptor are 3 x USB 3.0 ports which all work well and are a handy addition.
I highly recommend this adaptor as it has performed perfectly, was extremely easy to set up and has been reliable in its connection.
Quick and affordable network solution.
I recently purchased this adapter and I couldn’t be happier with its performance. It’s incredibly convenient to use — plug in the Ethernet cable, and you’re good to go. While I mainly use it with my MacBook, it’s versatile enough for other devices as well. What’s even better is the affordability at just 10.19. I’m hoping it maintains its quality in the long run, but for now, I recommend it to anyone needing a quick and affordable network solution.
Perfect for laptops
With laptop companies focusing on getting the weight and size down at the cost of every other thing these days, these types of adapters are a life saver.
My work laptop doesn’t even have an ethernet port so this was an essential for me! Happy to report it’s worked exactly as it says on the tin. Plug and play within seconds, no drivers, no third party app, it just works and I love that this is the case.
I’ve had no issues with it so far either and I’ve filled it up completely. I have a Logitech receiver in one port which covers my external mouse and keyboard, my webcam in one and my headset in the other, of course I also have my ethernet plugged in as well and having no issues with speeds.
Another feature I like with this particular model is that it’s swappable between USB-C and USB-A depending on what port you have spare. Excellent idea.
Can’t complain about this unit at all to be honest, it’s well built yet lightweight, nice plain grey design that doesn’t look out of place sat on my desk next to my laptop, and it works without a hitch. Top marks. 5*!
I got this as a replacement my previous USB ethernet adapter and have been able to compare performance.
Compared to my previous one — ADVANTAGES:
It has the addition of the additional USB ports which means I now have one less thing to plug-in when I use my laptop.(I had a separate USB hub which is no-longer required)
The ethernet adapter has a USBC-USBA adapter on the end which may be useful in the future.(I am using the extra adapter to plug the ethernet device into my laptop using a USB3 type A port)
My previous ethernet adapter kept on dropping it’s ethernet connection – this new adapter has been able to hold the connection to my network.
Compared to my previous one — DISADVANTAGE:
When I tested speeds, this new device is slower with large file transfers across my home network however when I performed a broadband internet speed test I observed no performance difference.
CONCLUSION:
I am happy to use this new device going forward, on-balance it is a better device for me.
Notes:
Both this(new) and old ethernet adapters are 1 gigabit USB3 adapters and I am using a Dell laptop with an i7 processor with fully up-to date Windows 11(automatic updates turned on, no further updates available), connected through a gigabit network which has a NAS drive on it and a router/modem for internet access.
The only device changed for the tests was to swap between the old and new Ethernet adapter.
32GB file transfer (NAS to PC) took 8 minutes 10 seconds with old device and the same file took 10 minutes 16 seconds with this new device.
Both devices are plug and play with Windows 11 – I did not need to do anything to get them to work other than to plug-in.
This new device uses Realtek 10.33.419.2019 driver. Old device uses ASIX driver. Windows reports that, “The best drivers for your device are already installed” when I try to update the device drivers.
