Worked well
Placed into my old PC which I just gave to my kid following a recent upgrade and didn’t want to run ethernet cables upstairs again now I have wifi which works well and fast (Thanks Youfiber!) This was easy to install with the enclosed CD, not sure what would have done if the old system didn’t have a CD drive like most modern systems now have.
Buy i
I’ve had it for 2 months now, on a computer used for casual gaming.
Easy to install, worked immediately and fast and low latency in a low signal part of the house. MU-MIMO support. Super cheap. And Bluetooth too.
Anyone who reads this that wants more than that, doesn’t need my review. Otherwise, just buy it. Very reliable product. TBH I’d be happy enough having in my dev workstation if I couldn’t have an ethernet connection. It’s faster than the onboard wireless that has.
Good to make connections!
After recently purchasing a “fixer upper” computer that came with a USB Wi-Fi dongle, I decided to replace it as it has a reputation of overheating. After a bit of research, I decided to purchase this Wi-Fi Bluetooth adapter card. A nice compact card, it easily fitted into a PCIe slot and then finally screwed in the aerials. I downloaded software and drivers, using the dongle, and after installation of the software, I then removed the dongle and have started to use this now working perfectly card!
This have greatly improved my receptio
very affordable way to improve reception of Wi-Fi on a computer that is far away from the router. I am getting fast speed. I have to do a full test to see how much of the advertised speed I can achieve. But obviously there are many factor to consider. Never the less this has delivered. I thought I would struggle to install the drivers because they came on a disk , and my computer has no disk reader. I plugged it in and the drivers were installed automatically (I have Windows 11 pro Intel based).
The Bluetooth experience is very good too. I used to have a lot of drop and disconnection with my previous card, but this one is very stable. Pairing devices is fast and connection is quick too. Just make sure that your motherboard has an internal USB port available to plug the Bluetooth cable.
Happy purchase
Works well, but get the drivers from their website
Seeing a CD included with this was horrifying, who has a CD drive anymore? Luckily the drivers were on their website to download… but you kind of need internet to download them… so try and get them on a USB stick or transferred from your phone or something beforehand.
Other than the setup, it was really easy to install, and works perfectly.
Great product at a good price.
I was a little worried buying these as some people have suffered with driver problems, but they went in my 10yr-old Lenovo desktop no bother and worked “out-of-the box”. I didn’t need the driver’s supplied on CD as my PC downloaded the latest Intel drivers, but tried them anyway and they worked exactly the same as the official Intel ones – which I used in the end as they are updated automatically.
Excellent range, speed and coverage on the Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth is better for walking around the house with headphones on than my old dongle. Ideal for a two-bedroomed terraced house – including the back yard where my headphones were fine during the sunny spell we had last week. The product is a low-profile PCI-E x1 card, which meant it fitted my small form-factor computer perfectly by changing the regular plate with the low-profile one supplied.
NOTE: Check your motherboard has the spare USB header required for Bluetooth power before you order, otherwise you may be disappointed as the Bluetooth won’t work without it. Mine does, so anyone else with a Lenovo ThinkCentre M80 series PC should have no bother at all.
Good WiFi, rubbish Bluetooth. (UPDATED)
Been using this device for a month. The WiFi is flawless, always get 260 Mbps without issues on 5 Hz network, but you may need better antennas though (with default antennas I was getting about 80 Mbps).
The Bluetooth also worked for couple of weeks, but now it’s keeping disconnecting when doing high power demanding tasks. I tried everything from reinstalling intel drivers to clean installing windows, nothing helped. Seems to be either a device malfunction, or intel/windows bad power management.
So, I’m kinda in the limbo now: can’t return the item because I need the access to the internet and this product was awesome on this part. On the other hand, can’t use the Bluetooth, which is also very important to me. The partial refund would solve my dissatisfaction (to order additional usb adaptor), but as far as I know it’s not possible on Amazon.
So would give 4/5 for WiFi (because of the small antennas) and 1/5 for Bluetooth= 2.5/5 overall.
P.S. now the Bluetooth functionality completely gone.
P.P.S it seems, that there were no issues with the card itself, but rather with the AMD 5000-G Ryzen series and PCIE bandwidth, when GPU is added. After updating to the new CPU, everything works fine. So, I’ll give 2 stars back. Soild 4/5. Would give 5/5 for the better antennas.
Good for the price
The product worked as advertised. The physical installation was easy to do. If there are a few things I, personally, would recommend here they are the following:
First, if you are going to use the Bluetooth capabilities of the card, do yourself a favor and plug the power cable into the card itself before installing the card into the PCIe slot and mounting it to the computer case. It isn’t a huge problem, but does make the install a tad easier, in my opinion.
Two, be knowledgeable on what channels this card offers in comparison to the channel(s) you are utilizing for your wireless access point. Took a bit of effort for me to realize that this card didn’t support channel 163 for my 5GHz band so I had to lower it to a supported channel. Once I did that, I have had little issues!
Three, I haven’t had the most success with Bluetooth range and reliability with this card in comparison to what I had hoped, but that may be from interference in my apartment complex before I get too hypercritical.
All-in-all this card is good for what it offers! Easy to install, minimal issues, and relatively cheap! Just keep in mind that you may have to do a little adjustment to get it running efficiently, but it works well once you do! I have 100Mb internet and regularly hit that cap with trusted speed tests using 5GHz.
9 out of 10, but I’ll round up to 5 out of 5!
I have an HP Envy Phoenix 810-330 qe, or a tower with an i7 4th generation cpu, a 745 GTX Graphics card, 32 gigs ram, and an msi 7826 version 1 mb. I had a Broadcom mini wifi card, combination 4.0 BT with no room for an expansion model. So i found an Asus wifi/bt combo, dual band,802.11ac and installed it. It worked fine for awhile and then I out grew it. Then I learned about ofdma, and 802.11ax. I found this Zyudiod 200ax wifi card with, a 5.0 bt. When I went to install, I realized that HP doesn’t provide a 9 pin male to make the front usb connection. I installed the card, leaving the asus, hooked up and in the slot, while the ax200 was also hooked up. I’ve attached some pictures that show the connections that I used to connect the usb cable from the rear connection of the AX200 card to the 10 pin HP connector. I put the connector over the 4 pins on the row on the top right of the connector. Worked perfectly.
It wasn’t until later that I also discovered that the asus card could be disconnected by taking the left wire off the card, leaving the card in the slot. It was Amazing when I booted the connector because the machine found the new device, and I disabled the asus in the device Mgr. Now the bt recognizes my phone bt and I can now use dynamic lock located in the user’s account under sign-in options. This is just one more safety feature to keep others from doing too much damage to your computer.
I pray that this helped the confounded HP desktop owners.
Peace, out
