Something in the way it moves…..😂
    Half speed master.new-fangled wizardry..?
    First impressions were..’yuk.where’s my original?’..then.wham!
Notched the volume up and the whole album just came alive!!
A really engaging mix that is different but respectful of the quality of the original.
    Astounded!
If you love the original, get this too.The first one is engaging but the anniversary one is inviting. Just like George in Here Comes the Sun,hard right on the original but sitting in the room on the 50th.

    Amazing
Abbey Road, the iconic masterpiece from The Beatles, has been etched into the annals of music history since its original release in 1969. Now, half a century later, the 50th Anniversary Edition on vinyl breathes new life into this timeless classic, delivering an unparalleled sonic experience that transcends the boundaries of time.

From the moment the needle touches the grooves of the vinyl, it’s evident that this edition has been crafted with meticulous care. The warmth and richness of the analog sound transport the listener to the hallowed grounds of Abbey Road Studios, where the Fab Four once walked in musical unison. The vinyl medium, with its inherent warmth and depth, adds an extra layer of authenticity to the experience, capturing the true essence of the recording era.

What sets this anniversary edition apart is the meticulous remastering process undertaken by Giles Martin, son of the legendary George Martin, who was the original producer of Abbey Road. Giles’ commitment to preserving the integrity of the original recordings while enhancing the overall audio fidelity is nothing short of remarkable. The result is a sonic tapestry that reveals nuances and subtleties previously unheard, allowing listeners to rediscover the album with fresh ears.

The packaging itself is a work of art, paying homage to the iconic cover art while incorporating new elements that commemorate the album’s enduring legacy. The attention to detail extends beyond the sound quality, with the vinyl housed in a sturdy, high-quality sleeve that ensures the physical embodiment of Abbey Road matches the sonic excellence within.

Abbey Road’s 50th Anniversary Edition on vinyl is not merely a reissue; it’s a celebration of musical brilliance and cultural significance. Whether you’re a seasoned Beatles aficionado or a newcomer exploring the magic of Abbey Road for the first time, this edition serves as a gateway to an era when music was crafted with passion, innovation, and an unwavering commitment to artistry.

In conclusion, Abbey Road’s 50th Anniversary Edition on vinyl is a must-have for any serious collector or music enthusiast. It not only pays homage to one of the greatest albums of all time but elevates the listening experience to new heights, reminding us all why The Beatles continue to be an enduring force in the realm of popular music.

If Abbey Road isn’t the Beatles’ best album, then it’s certainly one of them. All these years later, and it’s a triumph of what happens when you put four visionaries and talented musicians in a studio and see what they create. Utter genius, and nothing less. Even when all four personalities were drifting apart, they created some astonishing music, like the eternal ‘Come Together’, beautiful ‘Here Comes the Sun’ or landmark experimental number in ‘I Want You (She’s So Heavy)’. But even a lot of the deeper cuts are brilliant; I confess that I dig ‘Maxwell’s Silver Hammer’, but also adore ‘Oh Darling!’ and ‘Octopus’ Garden’. Then throw in one of the most iconic medleys of all time, and you have an album that’s essential listening. This recent remix by Giles Martin is exceptional (as all of them have been in recent years), and the vinyl record itself plays wonderfully. It sounds phenomenal. It’s housed in a black, lined sleeve, and the outer sleeve is high-quality – nice and glossy. Definitely a must-have for any rock or pop fan. Every inch of this thing exudes a high production.

Good recording but anything from the best band the world has ever known is going to be good.Got the original vinyl as well as remastered cd all sound good, but this is much warmer .Being cynical you could say that George Martins son Giles doing the production is a bit of a hype, as we don’t know what it would sound like if another producer did it ?

I get it now. I’ve always liked the beatles but only because I listened to the greatest hits. I’ve now got a turntable and I’m slowly collecting the albums. Sgt pepper was my first and now this one. Tremendous. Great pressing too, just a shame the whole presentation is basic, I’d love a double disc or extras but 60 for the deluxe version is a big jump from the 18 here!

    Great album
Great album, I thought I had the original 1969, but somehow it found it’s way into my sisters record collection, so had to have it on vinyl, already have it on CD with a bonus CD of demos.

    Iconic album received!
This is iconic album and was received safely and quick in good shape.
Album is normal (side A and B) size not on two discs as it became popular recently.

    A quality pressing.
The very last album the Beatles recorded – and what an album! Let it Be was a shelved album released after they split. Quality vinyl and a good pressing. Recommended.

    Truly awesome
The remix of this album is superb, I can’t imagine anyone preferring the old stereo mix over this as it’s so well put together. If you like this album, just buy this, truly awesome!

    Great sound
The sound quality on this record is great, however there are just a few pops and clicks on side 2 track 1, but if you’re like me and can deal with those things then it really isn’t a problem.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersAbbey Rd revisited
Only having the originals of all Beatles vinyl albums, I thought it time to delve into
these remasters to seem what all the fuss is about. Well I can honestly say it’s like a breath of fresh air, old tired tracks brought back into new lease of life.
    Would highly recommend.

I do recall buying this LP back in the day, great stuff. I recently purchased the 50th anniversary issue and there is nothing on the sleeve or the vinyl label to say that it is the 50th anniversary issue. All there is on the cellophane is a “hype” sticker. Can we really believe this is really the 50th anniversary pressing?

Likes: The music. Don’t need to elaborate. The first album I bought with my own money as a kid in 1969. Anyhoo, someone reckoned The Beatles are “over-praised”. Got to admit, that made me laugh. Abbey Road….like Pepper…was, and still is a benchmark piece of work. It sells now for that very reason.
Dislikes: This new edition on vinyl (my weapon of choice). So much surface noise on Side 2. I have a decent record cleaning machine, and I will have to spool it up in the next couple of days to try and give side 2 a going over. It’s quality 180g vinyl, and it’s as flat as a snooker table, so no issues there…..it’s purely the surface noise.

Golden Review Award: 23 From Our UsersA Magical Achievement: Adds clarity and depth whilst remaining faithful to the original; genius!
I was in two minds about getting this 50th anniversary edition on vinyl, I had only recently bought a copy of the original album on vinyl and it is superb, however, Giles Martin has done an excellent job on previous remastering of Beatles albums. The other reason I took the plunge was that, in my desire to gain some respite from the surreal world of U.K. politics, I tuned into Radio 2s pop up Beatles station to mark the 50th anniversary of this album. Spending a day listening to Beatles music clinched it.

Bearing in mind how excellent the original mastering was I am rather thrilled how good this is, simultaneously faithful to the original and bringing out greater clarity and depth to the sound throughout. Knowing that this album was arriving today I listened to my newish copy of the original last night and wondered if this remastered version could possibly add anything, it does.

Excellent. Different to my original mix vinyl which is a reissue from the 80s. Don’t know if its as good as a first press but it costs a fraction of that in price. Flat, quiet, detailed and musical
