How do I activate my plan after purchase?
After your purchase, Amazon will send you a link and activation code by e-mail. Sign on with your Adobe ID or create a new one. Enter the code from the e-mail and download all programs you plan to use.
Will I get the latest version automatically?
Yes! Thanks to the new automatic updates, Creative Cloud programs will be updated immediately once a new version is launched. You can manage your update settings in Client.
Can I work offline too?
Yes. The Creative Cloud desktop programs are installed on your computer. This means you don’t always have to be online to use Lightroom or Photoshop.
Do I have to store my photos in the cloud?
Lightroom saves and manages all photos in the cloud, and Photoshop syncs automatically with the cloud. Prefer not to store your photos there? Use Lightroom Classic instead.
Whilst on offer this was a much cheaper way to obtain photoshop. If you know anything about photo editing then you know Photoshop is the leader in this field. Buying this annual plan saved 40. I’m not sure if I will use the antivirus but I’m still saving this way.
Used for photo editing. This is replacing my much older version. The new interface is taking a bit of getting used to and there are some added features which I do not consider to have been worth the hype. Notably generative fill which is basically an AI module. It is worth noting that anything generated or part generated using AI is banned from all major international photographic competitions from 01.01.24. Of more use to graphic designers. The rest of the software is absolutely class leading though.
Adobe CC is the industry standard when it comes to photo editing. What i have read is that almost 60% of their income is from the Photoshop plan. There is a reason for that. Do I have to say more ?
If you get this right then you can add code and you get something that costs 9.98/month for 54 for the year with Black Friday deal. I do this every year now and have saved a lot of money.
The key thing is to check very carefully what you’re buying. Double-check then triple-check before you buy and again before you redeem.
It is time-consuming and painful to resolve later, although Adobe support will let you swap products if you need to but a couple of years ago, I lost hours of my life by not being really careful.
If you want to give this Xmas a gift that will provide joy for a year: don’t look any further! This gives you Photoshop and Lightroom for a year!
The storage is only 20Gb but unless you do use the synchronisation with multiple devices then this limitation won’t be a problem
Virtually every photographer I know subscribes to Photoshop – the annual prepay / particularly when there’s a prime or black Friday is discounted. You get a code. Put it into your account and your monthly payments stop until the prepay subscription ends.
I expected it to be easier with apps. It turned out that there are a lot of things that are actually not complicated, but they are not that easy to do either. You also need a good eye for images. Otherwise, there are quite a few programs and they have everything you need. The only downside is that it downloads all my applications to the computer’s main drive. Which as you can guess is bad. I tried installing to another drive, but either I’m dumb or the app won’t let me.
A very impressive suite of apps for creatives including Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Lightroom, After Effects, Acrobat, etc etc. Great price for students, especially around Prime Day. I wish there was a non-subscription option but this is the best option because this industry is definitely not going to change direction.
Amazon seem to have this on offer every Black Friday, at a huge discount from the Adobe monthly fee. I had a few months left on my subscription. I purchased this code and activated it using the link in the email. I haven’t been charged an exit fee by Adobe, and my subscription is now showing as paid for the year. Very easy to do.
As for the products – I’ve been using Lightroom to manage and edit my photos since version 2. I’ve tried other companies offerings, but they don’t come close. Photoshop does far more than I need, but it’s great for the more complicated editing that Lightroom can’t do.
I bought a one year pre-paid plan to update my existing Creative Cloud account. The buying process was easy enough. I got the redemption code in my Account. I then attempted to follow the instructions on the Amazon site on how to use the code… Big mistake. The link takes you an Adobe website so you can redeem your code. I entered the code and it was accepted. I opened my Lightroom App but was still getting the message that my membership had expired. I rebooted the laptop, logged out of my Creative Cloud account…several times, to see if that would help. No!!!
Looking at some of the reviews, I saw some people had issues with the code and had given up and flushed 99 down the pan.
The next day, I contacted Adobe Support. I had to log out of my account, kill all the adobe background tasks, uninstall my apps and then re-install them. Thankfully that seemed to do the trick.
The agent told me that I should have gone into my CC account, and use the Manage Account option. I would then be able to enter in the redemption code which would update my account.
I looked on Google and on the Adobe website on how to use the code. There is a lot of confusing information for what turned out to be a simple process.
