Step 1
Set the adapter switch to “Carplay” or “Android Auto”. Connect the WiFi adapter to the USB port or Type-C port on your vehicle head unit.
Step 2
Turn on the Bluetooth and WiFi on your phone at the same time. Search for the Bluetooth signal name “Smartadapter-xxxx” and confirm the authorization request on your phone
Step 3
Click “Next” on your car screen to automatically go to the Android Auto or Carplay page.
Step 4
After successful Bluetooth pairing, the WiFi of the iPhone/Android smartphone automatically connects to the WiFi of the adapter!

1. What is the WiFi password for the Wireless Carplay Android Auto Adapter?
After the Bluetooth comparison is successful, WLAN will automatically establish a connection. Therefore, no WiFi password is required. Please make sure your WiFi is turned on and not in use when pairing.
2. Carplay Android Auto wireless adapter can’t reconnect automatically?
1)Please make sure your phone’s Bluetooth and WiFi functions are turned on and Bluetooth is not in use.
2)Clear pairing history, restart phone and repair adapter.
3. How to confirm whether your car has Apple’s wired CarPlay or Android Auto functionality.
Connect your iPhone or Android smartphone to your car using a USB cable and view the Carplay or Android Auto logo on the car display.
4. Can the phone use another WiFi network when using the wireless Carplay Android Auto adapter?
When using the automatic matching function, the phone’s WiFi is occupied by the adapter, so other networks cannot be used at the same time. You can only access the Internet using your phone’s SIM card.
5. Can’t find Bluetooth and WiFi of Carplay Android Auto wireless adapter?
Make sure the Carplay Android Auto wireless adapter power light is blue and make sure the adapter is connected to the wired Carplay/Android Auto port.
Works as it should
This works well with my phone. When my phone was connected with a cable android auto always crashed when I used too many apps at the same time. But had no issues with this. The only downside to it is that the phone battery draines faster and the phone gets hot when connected to this dongle.

Changed my review. Had problems connecting sometimes when first puthased but now think this must have been and android auto thing because works smooth now.

No messy cables, just plug 'n play.
Simple to install and connect to my Android phone, Edge 20 pro, working within 5 minutes. My Suzuki’s info system is now fully functioning with music, Google maps, messages at the touch of the screen. So far it’s not given any of the problems others have mentioned so it’s a big thumbs up from me

Pleasantly surprised by how current it makes your car. I have a 2018 mokka x with cable CarPlay, Sick of charging my phone all the time and going through cables bought this you get in the car maybe about 30 seconds in it’s booted up and connected and it’s great!!!!

Plugged it in, connected it to Bluetooth and haven’t had a problem since. No apps to deal with just a simple Bluetooth connection. I prefer this over the previous wireless one I was using. Well Done!
Fantastic device
Took a couple of minutes to get it connected to my car, remove the Phone from your bluetooth list in the car, and remove the car from your phone bluetooth. That should remedy any startup issues. It’s been working close to flawlessly. I had issues with Android Auto, even with the cable in my Seat Ateca – 40% of the time Android auto would crash. Since getting this device that has completely remedied it.
I thought at this price there would be some lag etc, but there’s not. It’s a great little device.

Worked out of the box, makes life easie
We bought a car in December that has Android Auto and Apple Car Play, but it’s only through a cable and not wireless. As my wife has an iPhone and I have an Android, that meant having to change the lead every time the other was driving. This solves that issue, as you just plug it into the USB slot and slide the switch between the two options. This was quick and easy to set up and it connects quickly once you turn the ignition on. Much less hassle now!
Should work perfectly well
My mistake…bought this thinking it would give me Android Auto in a car that doesn’t have Android Auto!. Design, build quality & vfm are top notch its just I couldn’t use it (I would have to change my head unit). Lesson learnt but I reckon if you have AA this is the adaptor for you.
Simplistic use
I’ve found that having this in my car has greatly simplified my life. I can now read all of my messages on the screen and have stopped attempting to sneak a glance at my phone while driving. It’s a well-made gadget with fantastic sound quality when used. It was simple to connect to Bluetooth.
Works perfectly
Works perfectly with Android Auto on my Peugeot 3008 (2016) whereas AAWireless failed me.
No extra app needed to be installed on your phone, unlike AAWireless.
One star minus for usb cable part is too stiff to bend.
Super useful
Have this in my 2016 Fiesta and it’s made my life so much easier. I’m no longer trying to peek at my phone while driving and can see all my messages on screen. The sound using it is great and it’s a solid product. Bluetooth was easy to connect and have even connected my wife’s phone also with no issues.

This works like a charm with my Samsung S23+ for auto andriod. My only (and I stress) slight critisism is that thr short cable length means the unit floats in the air rather than resting on the bottom or edge inside the arm rest. Not a biggie, and probably just a personal preference that it would.

Has a little button on the side to switch between android auto and carplay, kind of weird because in the picture it looks like there’s two big buttons like a fob, but its actually controlled from the side. Not a deal breaker but thought id mention that.
Fantastic Device
WOW what a great device this is, easy to install and connect up, so why I didn’t get one sooner… So easy to use and mirrors the phone screen with ease, I use Android Auto and the maps and have had no lag or drop out of this at all, even using Spotify whilst using the maps was a breeze too.
Connects up within seconds of me entering and starting the car, screen then changes to show my last open AA app used. Just ensure you can charge your phone up as now no cable connected to charge at the same time. On several over 100-mile journeys my phone only lost about 10% but may be different on other phones. All in this is a great device and can do both AA and CP not at the same time but easily switch over.
Easy to use
Bought this for my car, just plugged it in the same usb port that the cable used followed the instructions and worked first time. No needed to worry about plugging in any more just connects as soon as you turn your car on. Can set up your navigation prior to getting in the car. So easy to use.
Amazing little device, I used to have a Carlinkit device which was buggy and laggy at best. This one is far superior with little to no lag and all the built in Bluetooth functionality works as it should. I’ve tested both android auto and apple Carplay and both have just been amazing!
I often use the work car that does not have the navigation system and I would always had to plug my phone, put the navigation and do jot have access to my favourite music because all my music is in my phone and with this device I finally can have my music and listen to the indications on my navigation.
The installation process is easy and simple, plug the adapter to the USB port in the car and wirelessly connect it with the phone.
The performance of the adapter is good, I have been using it for few weeks now and everything is fine.

My current android auto is wired, but when I have to charge my phone I have to take my android auto off and then plug it on charge. However with this little adaptor, I can leave it plugged into my car, and have my phone charge at the same time. Its great for my car as I do lots of long journeys and it helps to see my navigation on the larger screen. I use waze and it works great with that. It’s got the option for apple car play which also works well with apple phones. I think its a great device and I’d happily buy one again at this price.
Great CarPlay
I have a Renault Zoe with wired CarPlay and wanted to make this wireless. This little device does just that.
It’s nice and small and simply plugs into the UDB port of my car. Then to connect to just pair it with your phone and every time you get in the car it will automatically connect and hey presto you have wireless CarPlay. It’s really that simple and it works amazingly well.
Very good quality, easy to use and no issues at all means it’s 5 stars from me. Thumbs up all round.
Great for the price. Easy to set up and connect to my MG5. The usb socket on my previous phone became loose so android auto was almost impossible to use. My new phone is much better but the cable still comes loose sometimes. I’ve done a few journeys with this and it works 100% of the time.
I noted some people have said it won’t work with Android auto..there are two versions, one for iPhone only, so make sure you select the correct one before ordering.
Magic
This is probably my best buy of the year. No more plugging and unplugging of my phone every time I jump in the van.
The phone stays in my pocket and it just works seamlessly. Simple to setup, but make sure you set the switch to the correct apple or android to match your phone.
The supplied sticky pad is useless but I used a bit of 3m velcro and it’s solidly tucked away in my dash tray now.
