I bought the gaming desk for my husband for Christmas… he loves it so much I’m glad I went with my gut feeling… honestly I had so much to say … at the moment I’m just speechless….. just got for it…. worth the money n it was delivered nxt day…
Excellent quality for the price
Bought this for my son, as he wanted a corner desk for his gaming PC set-up. It was probably one of the easiest flat-packed furniture items that I’ve put together. Everything fitted easily and all the holes lined up perfectly. Each pack of bolts and the main components were clearly labelled and there was one spare bolt in each pack (in case you lose one).
The one we chose was a carbon fibre finish and it’s made of three pieces – the two large rectangular desk areas and the curved corner section. Once put together, it looks very good and feel sturdy, The additional LED lights add a nice touch. You can switch them between various colours and brightness.
Overall we are really pleased with the desk and, for the price, is excellent value.
So having read a number of reviews that did worry me about screws piercing the top of the desk and damage / missing parts on delivery I thought I should share my experience.
The desk turned up on time and on opening it found it was well packaged. After removing everything and checking for damage apart from a very small mark on the corner of the corner piece everything was immaculate.
Now for the building…
All the parts were numbered and the instructions were very easy to follow. I would however suggest building it with 2 people as the first few stages are hard to do alone as I found out.
For people who have had screws going through the surface I am not sure how without using the wrong screws. The holes in the bars to connect the desk to the frame are slightly elongated so when attaching the desk pieces you can manoeuvre them slightly to make sure they fit snugly against each other.
I would probably advise getting the LED strip out, unrolling it and putting something on each end (as you can see I have done in the picture). This is purely to make it easier to fit than having to fight against it continuously rolling itself up.
Currently I have only really mounted the monitor arms and put the monitors on the desk which it is solid enough to take.
Overall I can’t personally find any fault with the desk and would recommend it to anyone looking for a nice corner desk.
Corner Desk
The corner unit was good, in terms of quality and design. My boy very please with his corner gaming desk.
There is only one thing to watch out for and make sure you read the correct bolt sizing. I made the mistake of thinking it would be the same bolt that fitted the top tiers and corner part to the rest. Hence slightly to long which cracked / chipped surface materials.
Apart from that all good.
Instructions were a bit vague. To follow instructions was OK. Takes at least 1.5 hrs to assemble. Wrong colour was delivered but was happy in the end.. Small damage to edge of table but nothing serious. All and all good value. Would recommend for the price.
