Bike Clamp Mount for Gopro, ULANZI Bike Camera Mount
Bike Clamp Mount for Gopro, ULANZI Bike Camera Mount, Motorcycle Handlebar Mount Dual 360° Ball Head Action Camera Adapter Compatible with Gopro Hero 12/11/10/9/8/7, DJI Action, insta360 X3

Versatile quality bike mount for action (and regular) cameras
This bike mount is very good quality – it’s all metal construction is durable. The mount if versatile, allowing you to use it on bars with varying thicknesses, so it’s almost universal for bikes of all kinds. The silicone pads make the clamp and camera mount really grippy. The price is fair for something that is going to have to put up with the outdoors. Adjusting the mount is really easy with the single knob that grips both of the ball joints at once.
Sturdy and flexible
I want to record my cycle routes for blogging. This mount puts your camera out front where it isn’t going to have the handlebars in the way. It has a universal mount that allows you to attach any mini sports camera. I wouldn’t want to attach any too large as they will make it top heavy. This is also a very flexible mount that allows you to get the best possible angles. It is very sturdy and well made. For me it is slightly expensive and there are cheaper alternatives but this is a quality make.
Sturdy and versatile
This is very sturdy, it’s all metal even the clasp, and it gives you confidence to mount your camera. The handlebar clasp is also metal and does wrap pretty well around any handlebar.
The screw is a standard camera size screw and i even managed to screw it on my Nikon ..even though I wouldn’t probably ever use it with my DSLR .
Excellent produc
This is better than the other Ulanzi clamps I have. Because the screw fastens to the rear, it gives that extra peace of mind that if it does work loose (which it hasn’t yet) then it won’t simply fall off which can be the case with some other clamps. Definitely worth the money.
Simple to set up, stays put.
Sturdy and well made, this camera clamp for your bike really is a good buy.
My partner is a MTB enthusiast, and he does a lot of XTC riding which he likes to film, however he usually has his camera mounted on his lid, but I thought he might like this mount for his handlebars instead and having checked it would fit a DJI Action 4, gave it a go.
It comes in a padded box and is fairly heavy as it’s made of metal, it’s really simple to set up and attach the camera, and we had it up and in place in a few minutes.
The ball joints allow you to angle it as you want and the screws are very secure to keep it tightly in place.
He’s been out using it a few times now and he’s pleased with it, it stays put even over very rough terrain and is quick and easy to remove.
Works with other cameras as well as GoPro.
I ordered this to see if it works with my cheap Yi Action Camera and it fits perfectly. The clamp itself is a sturdy construction and i’ll be taking it on holiday to record some bike footage.
The clamp comes with a rubber gasket so the clamp can fit push-bikes as well as motorcyles.
The double ball joint should allow you to rotate and aim to any position; fitting handle-bars, frames and forks. I might order some more of these mounts and a couple more action cameras to record multi angle footage for streaming projects.
UPDATE: Took this to Spain and used a cheap Yi action camera. The mount performed brilliantly, never came loose once. I managed to secure it to the left handle grip. The footage is a bit fuzzy, but that’s down to my cheap camera, if you’ve got a decent GoPro with image stabilisation, you should get great results.
Sturdy bit of kit.
The size of this clamp system compared to the cameras it is designed to hold seems like overkill, but if you are bouncing down rutted tracks on your mountain bike something substantial is needed . There are plenty of mounting options and angle’s available with the double ball head that has flexible 360 rotation. The camera clamp seems very sturdy and well made . Recommended .
Strong and well-made universal mou
This is a really chunky, solid mount. It’s not just for GoPros though – the GoPro mount can be unscrewed to reveal a standard 1/4″-20 screw which allows you to use it with pretty much any camera, or even a phone (if you have a suitable phone clamp with a 1/4″-20 hole).
The ball joints make it very flexible so that you can tuck it out of the way and easily get the camera angle you want. I’ll be using it mainly as a rear view mount on my mountain bike, but it can easily be used as a bar mount as per the photos. It screws up very firmly so I have no doubts about it holding a GoPro over bumpy surfaces.
A second insert is provided to allow you to fix it to much smaller bars, such as railings or whatever. So you could use it as a much stronger alternative to a Gorillapod. My previous GoPro bike mount (which this unit replaced) was awkward to undo so I used to leave it on the bike, which made it get rusty over time. But this one is is very quick and easy to undo so I will remove it after use each time.
I haven’t had it long enough to give it a full review, but the strength of the materials it’s made of and the quality and beefiness of the fixing screws gives me a lot of confidence that it will last me a long time.
A nice solid metal clamp...
As well as wanting this to mount a go-pro style camera on handlebars, I wanted something that could clamp onto bars. So did I get what I needed ? Oh yes!
Inside the well padded cardboard box was a large metal clamp along with a matching rubber grip, which fits the clamp perfectly. Plus a short metal bar kind of like a double ended universal joint.
One end screws on the clamp and on the other end is a standard camera tripod bush.
There’s also a plastic & metal go-pro style tripod adapter. Installation to whatever you need is also simple. Place the rubber inside the clamp, which adds extra grip and protects your handlebars.
Next double check the screwed on end of the universal joint is really secure. That’s important as it can unscrew slightly if you don’t notice it. Which means whatever is on top can fall over.
Now add your tripod adaptor to the end and screw your go-pro style camera on, that’s it job done.
So is this secure ? Yes, though you do need to regularly check everything is tight. But that’s not a flaw it’s because vibrations can cause anything to become loose.
So could I use this with an DSLR? No, that would be too heavy, but small lightweight compact cameras should work fine. Though what I can do is use this for holding small items, such as RGB lights.
It also works well on other things that are not designed to be “proper” tripods. Such as dowels, PVC pipes or stands for hairdressers. Which means you can save a few quid on tripods. Overall? Well happy especially as this is mostly all metal and will last a long time.
First time seeing the ULANZI brand
Pros
– great material quality
– well made
– the ball section has fine lines CNC’d in giving extra grip
– a spare rubber for the grip
– a good range of width for the grip
– simple design for a wrap around
Cons
– doesn’t go quite as wide as I personally need it
I can’t find too many faults with this personally. I’ve never heard of this brand before but honestly, it’s a very good first experience in regards to quality of materials. Seems like the money’s been invested in the right places. Very good quality material and well made! Pricing isn’t over the top and it’s competitive enough.
All the pros basically explain why I think this is a very solid 4 star product. Threading is all pretty smooth as well.
I have a few concerns about if you’re using with mountain bikes and other harsh requirements. I don’t personally use it on a mountain bike or race down a hill or anything. So I can’t really comment on that. But it’s a fairly good clamp for that I have been using it on and for. Reasonable price and quality here.
