Adequate cove
The cover works well for my purposes – to protect from tree sap in the spring.
There’s some elastic and a strap to key it in place and some reflective strips to ensure it is visible to other vehicles.
Check the sizing but this is a good option.
Practical with minor limits
Finding the right balance between protection and practicality for your vehicle can often be a challenge. My latest encounter with a car cover was quite noteworthy. Its design cleverly accommodates a variety of car sizes, which proved handy for my sedan. The inclusion of zipper doors was a thoughtful touch, making it considerably easier to grab things from the car without the need to remove the entire cover. While its lightweight nature was appreciated for easy handling and storage, I found it slightly lacking in robustness against more severe weather conditions. It served well against moderate elements but left me wanting in harsher scenarios.
Seems okay but looks and feels a little flimsy
This fits a Focus fine and comes well packaged with its own storage bag and is elastic around the bottom. The inside has a softer material which stops it scratching the car when you take it on or off which is good.
Unfortunately it feels a little flimsy around the stitching and I’m worried it will come off during windy nights when wind gets underneath it and lifts it up. This is highly likely as it doesn’t come with any extra straps to tie it down or to wrap under the car. I will have to get my own if the weather is poor when I’m using it so this definitely loses at least one star for that. For 35.99 at the time of ordering it feels a little steep for the quality and lack of straps unfortunately.
Fairly quick to fit & covers well
I got this in the hope it would fit our Vauxhall Cascada which has a soft top and is prone to get covered in bird droppings.
It came tightly packed in the box, but there is a handy blue carry bag which stores the cover when not in use. The cover was laid out beside the car and using the two mirror recesses in the cover to get the right orientation, it was relatively easy to pull it over the car and use the elasticated trim at the bottom to hold it in place at the front. There is a strap which passes underneath the car and there is a quick-fit buckle which having correctly threaded the strap to the clip, helps to hold the cover tightly to the sides.
There was a bit of overhang at the rear, but with this can be tightened up by pulling the excess together and held by additional cord. There are also two handy zips either side which allows access to the driver and passenger doors while the cover is still in place, which is a real benefit should access be needed.
Our vehicle is parked off the road, but should the car be parked on the road there are reflective warning tapes on the front, back and on the mirrors to aid visibility.
It took about 10 minutes to complete the operation but I suspect it might take a little longer when removing it and folding it to store it. It looks to be reasonably well made with a nice cotton liner which should not scratch the paintwork, so I believe it will do the job that it was intended to, and so I don’t think it is bad value for money.
Excellent value…
The car cover itself is excellent and it fits my BMW soft top convertible perfectly. However it is not recommended for I soft top hoods, as it leaves the hood covered in white lint from the inside of the car cover. I would certainly recommend it for hard tops.
Full car cove
Fits well on a Honda crv, great quality, good think materia, after reading the reviews was not sure how easy to put on, am 5foot and found it easy, only down fall no hooks to keep it on. Just one hook on each side, so use a brick and string to hold it down, time will tell when its windy. Would highly recommend
Great protectio
This fits a normal saloon car would obviously be too small for an SUV. The protection seems really good because it is thick and I don’t think it’s going to rip
Car Cover does the job.
Car cover was delivered in one day , fits car well ,and appears well made. good value.
Only downsize is the Zips on both sides do not release the front doors but do the rear doors.
Obvious problem is under car fixing lugs are on the wrong side of the zip therefore to gain access to front doors you will have to release the under car strap which in itself should have snap clips but does not so it will mean untying the strap.
Just arrived not fitted,Its a good quality cover, but the one central hold down strap is poor quality with no means of attaching or adjusting (unlike similarly priced cover it’s replacing which had 3 adjustable clips)So in order to hold down and be able to remove I’ll have to source my own clips.
