I’ve always used Corsair keyboards since the OG K70 and K65 RGB then the K70 mk.2 and now the K70 max. It’s a great keyboard it surprised me how good it looks in person the dark grey keys are a nice touch I was fairly dubious on these new magnetic key switches as I’ve always used cherry mx reds and somehow these feel similar but better, the key presses sound slightly more thonky than the mk.2 with reds which is always a plus. As always with the high end Corsair keyboards it feels solid and well built.

One of the pluses to this keyboard is it has a detachable usb-c cable so you can get yourself custom cables to make your setup pop more.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great keyboard

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our Usersi LOVE this keyboard. my boyfriend, who has the black one, suggested this to me. it’s SO cool, sounds incredible (soo thocky), works amazing, and is extremely easy to set up. the lights are so beautiful too, and i love the extensive amount of customisation with them. (remember to update your icue to the newest version! i was confused at first lol). i’d definitely recommend this, im gonna absolutely bang out minecraft on this thing

5.0 out of 5 stars perfect.

The keyboard itself is good and replaced my dying K95. However, sometimes on startup, the keys wont respond at all, or one key will get stuck down digitally (key itself is fine, but its sending the key continuously). Pressing the key will unstick it. Hopefully these can be fixed with firmware issues.

(In the mean time, when you encounter this it’s probably on your login screen – dont forget to “view your typed password” so you can see what key to press to unstick it. Or switch to tournament mode for login, that usually works too)

For a switch system that relies on a light sensor being broken to actuate, it makes a ton of noise. The switches are designed with a hard stop that has an echo. It is like listening to a pool table break when you type. The feel of the typing is probably the best I have ever had on any keyboard.

Looses one star due to lack of volume control.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersIt looks great, feels good and lights your room up to RGB madness.
Unfortunately, the software is just a complete headache to figure out. You have so many options like hardware lighting and lighting effects which confuses things. I don’t want to have to learn software just to configure basic lights and have them saved. If they simplified this software for dummies (like myself), this would be an easy 5* review.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersFinding a keyboard for gaming and typing can be a frustratingly difficult process. The Razer Huntsman Elite 2 was good, but my model was aging, and I wanted something better. I eventually landed on this beauty from Corsair and have never looked back.
The OPX Linear Switches are fantastic. Their smoothness and short actuation distance means your fingers can fly over the keyboard; my wpm speed has increased noticeably since switching to the K70 Pro. You do have to be careful not to hit other keys due to their sensitivity, but I got used to this in no time.
Gaming-wise, the quick keypresses are great in FPS titles, and their smoothness eliminates finger fatigue (for me at least).
Elsewhere, it looks gorgeous, is hugely customizable with RGB colours and macros, and the roller is the best I’ve ever used on a keyboard. This will be my board of choice for many years to come.
