The covers are made of a nice thick material that will provide good protection and allow light to the plant. The have provided good frost protection with ice forming on the cover rather than on the plant, which is exactly what they are designed for.
The drawstring at the bottom of the cover pulls up nicely around the thinnest part of the pot, providing good resistance to being blown off the plant in winds.
I may need a different size as the length/height is fine but they are covering Camellias and as such needed to be wider for pulling over the plant. The covers are quite a snug fit on the plant and do risk damaging the plant when trying to install.

I’ve grown a lot of semi tropical plants (you should see the size of my banana) and lost some particularly last year to frost while overwintering. I use a fair bit of lightweight frost fleece which doesn’t last that long and tears and rots quite easily.

These frost fleece bags are large (1.8 meters high and 1.2 meters wide) and made of a thick heavy weight weave which looks like it will last a long while and won’t easily tear. It will still be breathable and let some light in as well.

These will be suitable for small shrubs and trees without needing any support but for more leafy plants they might need some stakes to prop them up. Due to their heavyweight nature they might also need some support if put into a windy position

The bottom of the bag has a decent drawstring which also means these would be good for any large plants you have in pots.

The first frosts haven’t quite arrived yet so I haven’t put these into use. The fact that they are bags does mean that they can sit near the back door and be deployed into action at short notice.

Easy to use, large, fleece is nice and thick and should give good protection ? How long zip will last. Overall a good product that should hopefully last for many years

I got it as we have a 2 meter avocado tree that doesn’t like freezing weather too much. We used to put some towels and blankets around it to keep it frost free during the winter but it takes a lot of hassle to do it. This cover is very handy to put on as it is very lightweight so it is easy to get it all around the tree and then zip it up and tie it down.
However, I am not sure if just one will be enough to keep the temperature inside it above zero. I think I will get another cover like that to be just on the safe side.
Overall it is good quality cover that will help a lot keeping your precious plants and trees frost free.

These are fleece bags are thicker and larger than other ones I have seen before, and seem just perfect to protect my semi-delicate plants (these, or any other fleece, will not protect delicate plants – these need to be put in a conservatory over winter).

We have not yet had a frost this year, but I’m prepared with these fleeces. When the temperature starts to drop just pop the fleece over your taller plants and pull the draw string to tighten at the base. Don’t forget to remove the fleece as the temperate rises – they are not meant to be left on all winter!

I have some trees in pots which even when over wintered in the polytunnel, still need protection from frost, It can get pretty cold in these parts. The 80 GSM material is nice and thick, much thicker than the fleece roll I wrapped them in last year and much easier to put on. Just make sure the size is big enough for your plants slip these over them and use the drawstring at the bottom to secure them and stop the covers from blowing off. It’s claimed these will protect down to -8 degrees, I obviously can verify that as we likely won’t experience those kind of temperatures for a while yet. Remember, if you apply any sort of cover to potted plants outdoors it makes them much more susceptible to being blown over so they need placed in a sheltered spot or supported.

I’m very happy with these so far. Well made, nice heavy weight material, very easy to put on and secure with the drawstring, nothing to complain about at all.

I got these to protect my Cordyline’s, because last year some very large ones died due to frost/water damage.

I got the 1.8m x 1.2m size, which was more than large enough for my needs. I tested one as you can see in the picture. There is a drawstring on the bottom which secures it, I didn’t tie it in my picture as it’s not winter here yet so they will not be used for a few weeks to come.

One warning I will say is these increase the surface area of your plant, so it can be susceptible to wind damage. When covered make sure to move to a sheltered location to avoid this. Also I wonder if I may need to use some canes inside the pot to lift the top of the cover away from pressing down on the top of the plant. Or maybe I will tie the leaves together for stability.

The cover is thick and I suspect very durable, but yet it will allow light and water through.

Overall good quality and should last many years.
