Great little product that does everything you want.Easy to install and use and play all those old DVDs that you haven’t thrown out. Small and compact and good value for money.
This is a good player, with an easy setup and good playback. I am giving it 4 stars because of an initial setup problem, after contacting DB Power tech support it was fixed. The issue was, I have a 3 year old 4k 42 inch smart TV, and my previous player would connect through the HDMI cable, but this DB Power player would not play films and TV boxed set discs that were originally recorded on a 4.3 aspect ratio to fill the screen, and there was no way for me to change it to a 16.9 ratio in the settings of the player. So after contacting tech support, I used the AV cables and it played correctly.
I am still at a loss as to understand how this new modern player would not connect with my new modern TV through the HDMI cable, but there it is, the mystery of technology.
I am delighted with this DVD player, to replace one I have had for decades which was, quite simply, worn out. I was experiencing a lot of intermittent buzzing when playing many of my DVDs. I was uncertain whether this was caused by a problem with my player or the fact that some of the DVDs themselves were some years old. Only way to find out was to buy a new player. Well, this new one is excellent. It is small, took about 2 minutes to set up and connect to the TV via an HDMI cable, put the batteries in the remote, and get it going. There is a set of RGB cables as well if all your HDMI sockets are already in use. No SCART though. This type of connection is now evidently obsolete. So 5 stars. Small, easy to operate, excellent picture even on a 1950s movie, and no noise interference. Excellent value and swift delivery.
