    EagleSoar Kids Android 12 Tablet

This (I assume) deliberately basic 32GB 7″ Android 12 tablet is obviously aimed at young children and is a great way to get them eased in to the world of internet based entertainment.
The tablet is decently made, has quite low resolution cameras on the front and back.. perfect for taking the odd selfie or making videos for social media. There is an SD card slot for storage expansion.
The built in speakers are just about ok, but you can use headphones or connect a better speaker if necessary.
Wifi connection sets up easily and there’s also Bluetooth for connecting to various other gadgets etc.
Everything comes housed in a neat soft silicon protective case with side handles to help small hands keep a firm grip on the tablet, although any knocks and small drops shouldn’t be a major worry.
With an adequate screen resolution, the very kid friendly operating system with large icons and plenty of preinstalled games and apps, both fun and educational is more than enough to begin tinkering with.
Set up a Google account and you can then have access to the store where you can download more goodies.
The inclusion of some decent parental controls will help you set this up in the best way you feel is safe for your child.
The only real negative is the inclusion of just 2GB of operating memory. This is on the low side for the smooth operation of many power hungry apps and will contribute to an overall slower experience than it should be. Just bear this in mind, it can be a bit sluggish at times, depending on what apps are being used.
But that said, for the price (currently at just 39.99) this is a great, inexpensive kids tablet with all the features they’ll need to have a bit of online fun.

My 4 year old grandson has taken to this really fast, so his parents are rationing him to an hour each day.
Trying to create an account for a child did not work, so after a few frustrating hours, we gave up, and used
my sons Google account with child restrictions.
Considering the price, it works pretty good. The screen is clear, and as you would expect, it is not blisteringly fast, but YouTube works fine, and there are plenty of educational; Apps about that will justify a four year old having a tablet..
The protective case is spongy and just the job for a four year old, but battery life is not as good as expected. First charge was not bad, but then it was not getting used much, and once the games started, battery life was about 2 hours. Enough for a child though, and a way of getting any persistent child off it should the little fingers refuse to let go. (Just say it cannot be used whilst charging, though it can be used). .
Time will tell with regards to longevity, but so far, it is working fine, the touch screen in particular is just about the right sensitivity for his small fingers.
I have not knocked off any stars due to the setup process failing, because it may be a Google problem. The setup process was simple enough, but on the tablet under review, it just looped for several minutes, then failed each time trying to create a children’s account.

Great introduction for small children with preloaded apps for their age. Robust and well protected the tablet can be used to download further apps to keep little minds occupied. Would recommend as a great birthday or Christmas present that will last and never be tired of being used.

This is a lovely tablet with a thoughtful design for kids. The compact and lightweight device is protected by a soft and durable silicone case. Running a user-friendly interface supported by Android 12, the tablet is preinstalled with a wide range of education and entertainment Apps for kids. The initial setup is straightforward. Parent control tool enables me to easily manage what Apps my kids can play and how long they can play. The specification of the tablet, 1.6GHz Quad-Core CPU, 2GB RAM, and 32GB ROM, is fine for kids. Although the current 2GB RAM meets the minimum requirement, a higher RAM is desirable to ensure a faster and more robust performance. The display has the right size and clarity. Front and back cameras, an SD card slot, and an earphone socket all function well. A USB C charger is also provided. Overall, this is a basic tablet with a thoughtful design for kids. A higher RAM is recommended for a faster and more robust performance.

Only down is that it could use another 2GB of RAM, that lost it a star, as some impatient little ones may just loose interest if things don’t go quick enough. Apart from that the whole unit is great design for younger kids.

Soft silicon case with handles is just right for the target market, screen is just right for smaller ones and it comes with a proper USB C charger, not just a cable, there are also decent instructions to get you going and a screen protector to apply yourself.

All the controls are there, 2 cameras, SD card slot, 3.5mm earphone socket, rest of the spec is fine for young kids.

Since it is meant for younger kids as an intro and educational/entertainment tool it’s great for that, you’ll need to set it up but that’s pretty straight forward, then download the games and apps and set up the parental controls, once it’s set it’s set, this is all initial setup you’d have to do with any tablet.

The makers have done a good job, 2GB more RAM and it’s a great job.

Overall the tablet has child friendly design and functionality, as well as, fast charging. The design is creative and eye catching, which draws in my child’s attention whilst also being easy for my child to hold independently. It provides hours of entertainment during long, monotonous journeys and is a joy to travel with. The tablet has invaluable features and has become a staple in our lives – can’t quite imagine life without it. The system itself is that of an Android nature which makes it very straightforward to adapt to and utilise. Not forgetting the excellent customer service and after sales staff, which helped to resolve a difficult situation with grace and kindness, helping to bring the year to a wonderful end!
