Great Switch controllers that offer a much better play experience than the joycons.

Nicely backlit and the action of all the buttons feels solid and precise.

The vibration variable option is also a good touch and can be changed game by game.

A really must gave accessory for mobile gaming.

I’d recently read that you can now buy third party controller grips for the switch that completely replace the official joy cons which I’ve never personally been a fan of. After searching I landed on this one and at a reasonable price thought it was worth a go.

All in all there’s aspects about this controller which make it a great purchase and some aspects which are downright disappointing, but I’ll go through each aspect. Firstly the build quality feels decent, not spectacular, but comfortable to hold and doesn’t feel as though you’re going to break it in half with little force.

I absolutely LOVE the backlight buttons, they give the controller a really interesting look. Functionally they’re the big, clicky kind which I personally get on with very well. The joysticks are practically ripped from the official joy cons which isn’t a bad thing. They’re responsive as you’d want them to be. There’s vibration motors which is always a plus, instantly stronger than the vibration offered with the official joy cons.

Now for downsides, the triggers or L2/R2 are absolutely awful in my opinion. They’re ridiculously spongey and don’t spring back instantly which impacts gameplay. You also can’t charge the controller in the switch dock, even though it fits, which is slightly bizarre to me, but not that much of an annoyance.

Overall, apart from the triggers which being the grip down considerably, I’d consider this a worthwhile purchase and a gem on Amazo

This product looks better on the website photos than it feels in real life. When first taking it from the box it felt a little cheap, but when you mount the switch it looks and feel way better.
For me it took a little while to get used to handling it, but when I did I am perfectly happy with it. TO start with the button placements and joypad placements feel a little spacious, I suspect people with small hands may struggle with this device, but I was ok with when I became used to the button arrangement and I generally found the product was comfortable during long gaming sessions.
The screenshot button was really handily placed, and vibrate feature was insanely good.
    I would recommend this product.

Having used this controller extensively, its comfort stands out, particularly during long gaming sessions. The telescopic design cleverly fits my console, making it feel like a natural extension. Direct console connection is a plus, cutting down on any frustrating lag. The turbo function spices up gameplay, though it’s a feature I use selectively. Adjustable joystick sensitivity is a thoughtful inclusion, catering to various game types and play styles. One point to note: the need for a continuous power source due to no internal battery might limit its appeal depending on your play environment.

Been using this for a few days now and initial feedback is good, was a little hard to get set up at first but this was my fault due to following the instructions for the OLED model. Battery life seems great, have charged once when product arrived and is still going after many hours of play. The turbo feature is good as you only need to press a button once when activated and it will keep that button activated, perfect for games like minecraft. Build quality is good and the led lights are a nice effect.

This was a mixed experience due to the error code which popped up during Game play.

The compatibility of this device with the OLED is instantaneous, simply plug and play.

Comfort is excellent and I actually prefer the positioning of the joy sticks, which mimics my Xbox controller rather than the switch controller, I find this more natural and easier to reach the dpad and action buttons.
The shape is well formed for my palms.

Being able to adjust the sensitivity of the joy stick is such a great feature, and I love the fact that it resets after each use meaning that you do not have to remember how many turns to put it back to default as the wheels (like a mouse wheel) just spin forever.

I just some of the additional function like the rapid tap function and this is unfortunately when my experience turned sour. The continuous repeated action brought up an error code which I have never seen before which allegedly can be the equivalent of the red ring of death on the Xbox 360. I have used the controller since, and without using the rapid button I have had no issues.

Apart from this little mishap, and for the price I am very happy with this accessory, and I’m sure it will accompany me in many a day out.

4.0 out of 5 stars Well made. Lite enough when paired with switch.

Finally my teenager has stopped moaning that their joy pads keep disconnecting whilst playing on their switch oled! This is cool, very smart, fits perfectly and the buttons illuminate. Must buy for sure.

My son wasn’t very happy when he have to stop using his Nintendo when on of his joysticks get broke but this replacement fits perfectly and works as good as original but i slightly better price.

his comes nicely packaged and is really well made.
The Switch (mine’s the OG version) slots into place nicely and you press a button on the back and the arms retract into place.
It holds the switch in place (it’s a little like the docking station the way the switch connects to it)

There was no problems with it recognising it, in fact it was immediate and the controllers are responsive with no perceivable lag.

I’m just not too sure on the layout for me personally, I feel it’s a little cumbersome and depending what games you play it may hinder you.

If the layout looks good to you though it’s a great bit of kit. Solid, but really light weight and looks pretty good when fitted.
With joypad adjustments and turbo button etc it’s a great gift for the Nintendo Switch owner who has everything.

You can charge and play while it’s connected too so technically you can put it on and never need to take it off again (if your carry case is big enough)

Can’t give it a full five stars despite how much I adore this as it just doesn’t quite fit nicely in my hands, HOWEVER. The buttons on this controller are wonderful, they really feel like you’re actuating a physical button rather than squishing down a silicone pad and that’s a big plus to me. Sticks are accurate and the sensitivity wheels are quite interesting! I imagine them being very helpful for people who need a little extra aid with their dexterity (You can scroll the sensitivity down and then when you push the joystick the full way up, it’ll seem as if it’s only being held a little bit of the way, letting somebody who can’t manage that fine motor skill walk in video games!) and I’m impressed with the vibration & gyro capability! For the price of an extra set of joycons you could get yourself a really high quality handheld controller, I would like to recommend this option to you.

I’ve had many Switch controller’s over the years and while some have worked really well, some have been quite poor.
This I can say is probably the best one I’ve used so far.
It has built in joycons and led lights that light up your Dpad and also your A,B,X,Y buttons so there easy to see in the dark. (Check video)
I have been using this now as my main controller and I have to say it works absolutely brilliantly.
There is no delay with the buttons and they are nice and responsive, they have a nice clicky feel to them and feel nice to press and definitely doesn’t feel feel cheaply made at all
In my opinion the company has put some really good time and effort into this and like I say it’s now my preferred controller.
It looks and feels really nice to use.
Once synced to your switch console all you have to do is hold the home button to switch on your console in the future.
The battery once fully charged seems to last ages, speaking of the battery this is the only part I’m not quite happy with.
Instead of the control charging while docked or charging at the same time as the actual console the item has a Usb C charging socket below the left control where you have to charge this up separately
While not a comple deal breaker it just means you have to charge your console and control separate.
I would have preferred it to work like the original joycons and while your console is charging so is your joycons.
Like I say not a deal breaker but just something to be aware of.
This being said I really do like the control and everything else works perfectly and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.
Currently down to 33.99 I’d say that a great price and worth the money

The controller is ok it is bigger than the normal joycons so it doesn’t fit in the case properly with it on. It doesn’t have an NFC tag reader for amibos. It also wiggles a bit whilst on the switch but normal joycons do to so it’s fine and when off the switch the bend is more noticeable since the switch isn’t there to support the bar in the middle but other then that it is more comfortable to hold than the normal joycons and the buttons are nicer. The switch sees it as a single controller so some games don’t allow it such as Mario party that only allows one or two joycons and not controllers. It also has a turbo button that can be pressed along with any of the other buttons to simulate rapidly pressing that other button. The switch screen only fits in the controller when you put in the provided slot fillers in to fill the joycon slots otherwise it slips out a bit but it still won’t completely fall out.

Very responsive, easy to set up, install adapters on your regular Nintendo switch and slide into the controller. Change grip order to connect and done. Holders have no true lock, uses pressure to keep Switch in place. If you’re not holding it property, thr Switch will slide out of the controller set a little have noticed. Nice color scheme to the controller. These will connect and work without having the Switch slid into the control unit.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good, could use a better locking system

adequately packaged and presented, but the box is relatively basic from a branding perspective.

We think this would make a nice gift idea, but it’s worth noting that the box branding is a little underwhelming — see photos.

Easy to fit, but even though it connects to your switch through the side sliders, this does have to be charged independently.

Easy to use, especially like the turbo option.

we really like the lighting and effects on the controllers. This is something different from our official Nintendo joy cons, don’t have these kind of lights.

We are fun, gamers, rather than doing anything competitive or with streaming etc. this adds to our enjoyment and we found that the gaming experience is not negatively impacted with this controller.

We’ve not scored this five stars as it does feel a little plastic key and a little bit flimsy, but we’ve not experienced any issues. Plus we are not amazed by, the vibration functions again, it doesn’t feel top quality here

These controllers bring a new level of interaction to gaming. The turbo function is quick to respond and useful in fast-paced games. The wake-up function means less hassle with the console itself. The motion control is smooth and responsive, adding a fresh dynamic to gameplay. However, the vibration feature, though adjustable, sometimes feels either too intense or too subtle.

Functionally these grip controllers do everything they claims, and most of that is to a decent standard. The grips fit both the OLED and original Switch with the aid of rail adapters. Despite using the side rails as a means to connect to the Switch, the controllers are not auto-detected as JoyCons, instead they needs to be paired using the on-screen method and will become recognised as a standalone controller – no major issues there.

When connected to the Switch, the bar across the back of the device helps add rigidity making the overall device feel sturdy. Additionally the ‘bulge’ on the back of each controller feel good in the hand and provide good grip, comfortable too. The thumb sticks perform well and feel accurate with no latency noticed. The buttons too feel nice to use, not being too firm and certainly not bouncy or squishy when pressed. Again, functionally all good.

The backlit buttons are a nice touch if paying in a dark environment but for the most part there’s really no need to have them on. The Turbo feature is also a nice addition to the device and can be toggled on/off with a quick key press to help give you that competitive edge when you need it.

There are however a few small things I’m not a fan of. Firstly the plastic used on the controllers feel thin and cheap. It’s probably perfectly fine, but it just doesn’t feel premium enough to be sat along side the Switch. Secondly the rumble feature is just not good enough. It works when it should and you can feel the effect, but again it just feels cheap and unconvincing. It’s also a little noisy and feels slightly stronger on the right controller than it does on the left controller. Lastly, I noticed some signs of rubbing on the back of my Switch where it touches the support bar when sliding in and out. After continued useage, I feel this may cause noticeable damage to the rear case on the Switch. I have added a picture with red lines showing to location of the rubbing marks on my Switch – this was after just 2 occasions of the controllers sliding on and off.

Overall it’s a decent set of controllers but in my opinion, there’s still room for a bit of improvement.

4.0 out of 5 stars A decent set of grip controllers, but still room for improvement.

I’m a bit torn on this product. I was interested to see what it offers but it’s not something I’d have thought to buy.

Firstly, the good. The build quality is good. The thumb sticks feel really similar to the switch. The buttons all feel good and the fact the light up is nice.

It fits well and is comfortable to hold. Though I’m not sure it’s more comfortable, just different and still comfortable.

You can charge this whilst using the controller but I do feel the marketing implies it charges the switch, as the fact you can charge a wireless controller is hardly a selling point.

The turbo button is a feature that is fun to use. The gyroscopes seem accurate. As long as all this lasts then it’s a good product that delivers. Aside from some questionable marketing.

It has good utility as can be used as a controller by itself and attached to the switch. Maybe it could slide together to be a bit easier to hold by itself.

    Overall though it’s good

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI never thought having LED lights on a switch would be that beneficial but it is! The amount of times I play my Switch in low-lit rooms is a lot. However, it is worth noting that there is the ability to turn this feature off, as I know it’s not everyone’s preference.

There is also a string bag included which is of good quality allowing this product to be easily stored for convenience.

I also think having both joysticks as a solid unit makes it a lot more convenient as there’s less for your device to connect to.

The overall feel of this product is also great, I do appreciate the extra grip added to each joy con, as it makes it more comfortable to hold compared to the standard joy cons.

The only downside of this product is that I do think it may have scratched my Switch slightly when inserting the unit onto it as it is very fitted. Overall, I would recommend this product if you are considering it.

ot bad these Switch Controllers the keys are very reactive especially the rear triggers have good feedback but I don’t really like that they can’t be removed from the bar that holds them together however it allows a much faster insertion than the Switch
